After a drunken night, Anyuan unexpectedly found himself transported to the Beast World Continent. As he opened his eyes, he was greeted by a bizarre array of creatures, including birds larger than dogs and towering trees that reached the sky, standing ten stories high. Everything around him felt like he had stepped into an absurd and fantastical world.
At first, he thought it was just a dream, but the sharp pain from thorns scratching his skin made it clear that this was all too real.
Struggling to get up from the ground, he prepared to find a safe place to hide. Just then, a thunderous roar of a beast echoed in his ears.
Anyuan's face turned pale with fear as he quickly ducked behind a tree, cautiously peeking out. He saw a wild boar darting through the woods, closely pursued by a black panther.
The panther was over two meters long and moved with incredible agility. In an instant, it pounced, delivering a powerful blow to the boar's skull before sinking its teeth into the creature's neck without hesitation.
The entire process was swift and brutal; in the blink of an eye, the predator had effortlessly dispatched its prey, exuding an air of dominance.
Anyuan watched in terror, frozen in place like a statue, too afraid to make a sound.
The black panther turned its head, its amber eyes locking onto Anyuan.
It slightly twitched its razor-sharp nose, and its rounded ears quivered as if trying to discern something.
At that moment, one thought consumed Anyuan's mind: This is it; I'm next!
The panther slowly raised its front paw and began to approach him step by step. Despairing, Anyuan shut his eyes tightly and silently prayed as he awaited his fate.
Time seemed to freeze as moments ticked by; however, the anticipated pain never came. Trembling, Anyuan opened his eyes to find that the panther had vanished. He quickly scanned his surroundings nervously, confirming that the danger had completely passed before letting out a long sigh of relief.
But at that moment, his legs had already grown weak, yet he still panicked and fled swiftly from the dangerous area, not daring to stop for even a moment.
Meanwhile, the black panther, Muen, was joyfully running through the jungle. Its mood was incredibly cheerful, as it was the first time it had seen such a beautiful female. The long eyelashes fluttered like gentle brushes against its heart, sending ripples across its emotional lake.
After finishing off a wild boar, Muen was eager to approach and greet this beauty. However, as it got closer, it noticed that the little female was trembling. Had it frightened her?
She even closed her eyes, leaving Muen momentarily at a loss, hesitating in place.
Muen pondered to itself: Was its earlier hunting display not brave or handsome enough?
That made sense; it was dirty and should clean itself up before meeting her.
Just then, it spotted a wide stream ahead. Without hesitation, Muen dove in, splashing and rolling in the water, determined to wash away every trace of odor and leave a good impression.
As the sun began to set in the west, Anyuan continued on his journey. Although he hadn’t encountered any large beasts along the way, he felt as if eyes were watching him from the shadows behind, an unsettling sensation that made him shiver.
Finally finding a stream, he hurriedly cupped his hands to drink deeply. He had seen many wild fruits along the way but dared not try them; what if they were poisonous?
After quenching his thirst, tears suddenly flowed uncontrollably down Anyuan's face. He felt overwhelmed with grievance, thinking: When have I ever faced such humiliation? Now here I am, all alone in this desolate place, drinking from a stream that might be contaminated by wild animal droppings—what terrible luck!
But Anyuan couldn't afford to dwell in sadness for too long. He swallowed his bitterness and continued on his way.
