They were in a certain place. 0

Where? 0

The Spring Pavilion. 0

The Spring Pavilion was the most vulgar, the most unbearable, and the most primitive place in the World of Mortals. Yet, despite its utterly common name, the Spring Pavilion was widespread throughout the World of Mortals. It was vast, its name unremarkable, but the power behind it was anything but ordinary; the Sky's End Tower was a name that left others in awe. 0

In the World of Mortals, there was no place untouched by the influence of the Sky's End Tower. Wherever there was money to be made, wherever there were business opportunities, there would be the Sky's End Tower. Thus, it was said that wherever there were men, there would certainly be a Spring Pavilion, gathering those who wielded the greatest power in the World of Mortals. 0

Gu Ping and Liu Lao Jiu each asked Yang Yan for a set of clean clothes before heading to the Spring Pavilion. 0

Yang Yan was quite generous; naturally, he chose exquisite outfits for both of them. Gu Ping wore a set that included a Qin Yun crown on his head, Azure Cloud Shoes on his feet, a Qingfeng robe on his body, and a Hong Yu belt at his waist. The fan he held was also a treasured item from Yang Junfu's collection. It featured a famous painting by a renowned artist from Great Jin titled Tiger Roars in the Mountains, adorned with red cinnabar seals and ink-green inscriptions detailing the artist's life. Dressed this way, Gu Ping seemed like an entirely different person; from a once destitute figure, he transformed into a dashing young gentleman. 0

Liu Lao Jiu, having changed into new attire as well, sported a long sword at his waist. Though wrapped in deer hide by Yang Yan, it accentuated Liu Lao Jiu's aura cultivated from years of wandering in the martial world. With his perfectly coordinated outfit, Stubbled Uncle instantly became someone coveted by the noblewomen of Jincheng. 0

As soon as they entered the Spring Pavilion, an old matron rushed to greet them. The scent of her makeup overwhelmed Gu Ping, making it hard for him to breathe. She held a round fan decorated with vibrant floral patterns and flirted with Gu Ping while striking poses. 0

Unable to endure any longer, Gu Ping pulled out some silver notes and requested a private room. He dragged Liu Lao Jiu inside and finally took a deep breath. 0

Seeing Gu Ping's flustered state, Liu Lao Jiu couldn't help but burst into laughter, slapping his thigh as he pointed at Gu Ping's nose. "You little rascal! Finally can't keep up your act anymore, huh? Ha! It's obvious you’ve never seen such a scene before!" 0

Gu Ping twitched his lips but lost the mysterious demeanor he had earlier with Yang Junfu. Instead, he cautiously gestured for Liu Lao Jiu to cast a spell that would block out all sounds from outside their room. 0

There was no other choice; Keke was his last gamble. 0

Liu Lao Jiu listened as Gu Ping spoke seriously, his laughter fading away. Although Qunqin Ping did not appear as heavy-hearted as he did in the public office, there was no discernible expression in his eyes. 0

Did they at least have a chance? 0

Gu Ping pondered but refrained from voicing his thoughts. Should they go out and take a look? 0

Suddenly, before the two could step out, a knock echoed in their ears, followed by the sound of Warblers and Swallows. 0

Were the sisters coming in to entertain them? 0

"Come in," Liu Lao Jiu interjected before Gu Ping could respond. After all, Gu Ping was the one spending money, and Liu Lao Jiu thought that whatever expenses incurred were worth it. 0

As soon as the door opened, a girl dressed very lightly rushed in, her heavy scent of makeup nearly overwhelming Gu Ping. He quickly moved to the window to breathe in some fresh air. 0

Liu Lao Jiu, however, seemed unfazed. He wrapped an arm around the girl and said with a mischievous grin, "I see that standing by the window is quite the treasure. All expenses at Spring Pavilion can be covered by him; you girls better serve him well." 0

Hearing Liu Lao Jiu's strange remarks, Gu Ping suddenly felt that bringing Liu Lao Jiu here might not have been the wisest decision. He quickly added, "Let's accompany him; he can take us around." 0

With that, Gu Ping hurriedly escaped amidst Liu Lao Jiu's laughter, not daring to look back. 0

At the gate of the Jade Void Sect, Gan Yuan gazed at the beautiful scenery of the Kunzhong Mountain Range where the sect was located, yet he couldn't find any joy. Chongguang was still alive. They had paid such a heavy price: two Golden Core Mid-Stage cultivators, one Pseudo Golden Core, two attacks that rivaled Golden Core Stage spiritual power, a Medium-Grade Spirit Tool, and a Tai Ying Pill. 0

Those items were not only unattainable in the World of Mortals but also beyond the reach of their fellow cultivators. Yet they couldn't even kill a single Chongguang. At the critical moment, a Great Master had intervened and saved him. It was infuriating. 0

Gan Yuan was seething with anger, holding the Light Path Classic he had found in a box. It was clearly fake; the ink was poorly done. Such worthless things, which no one would even bother to buy for a few coins on the street, had caused their self-important Major Sect disciples to pay such a high price. It was enough to make everyone furious, wishing to tear apart that person named Gu Ping. 0

What frustrated Gan Yuan even more was that this had happened on Feiyuxuzong's territory. Not only had they been humiliated right under his nose, but the Light Path people had also managed to rescue Chongguang. Where were the people from their sect? Where were the High Legs of the Sect? Why was it that during this battle in their own backyard, not a single Jade Void Sect Golden Core High Leg had shown up? 0

The news must have reached the Sect as soon as the battle began. No matter how dull one might be, it was impossible not to notice a fight happening at their doorstep. Yet in reality, it seemed that everyone in the Sect was blind to it. It was truly bizarre. 0

He couldn't deny that initially, a Great Master from the Light Path had summoned the Blazing Sun; that incident likely meant they had nothing to do with it. Fortunately, at least one Great Master from Jade Void Sect had appeared and covered up the Lunar Dragon; otherwise, his life would have been forfeit. 0

Bu Luo took something from Gan Yuan's leg; although it was fake, the appearance of a Great Master did instill some fear in other factions and served as a good deterrent. 0

Gan Yuan walked step by step towards Shandong, knowing that this matter was far from over. The Light Path Classic was still in the hands of that person named Gu Ping. News had come that he appeared in Meixian and was likely heading towards Jincheng. Now Gan Yuan wanted nothing more than to put an end to this matter once and for all. 0
