The weather in Tuan City was exceptionally pleasant the next day. A few wild geese stood on the eaves of Lingyuan Pavilion, occasionally letting out crisp calls. Inside the building, scattered guests were enjoying their meals and drinks. Some were savoring the beautiful moments, while others seemed eager to leave, hurrying through Tuan City to grab a quick bite before moving on. 0

Time gradually extinguished one person's dreams, turning heroes into ordinary folk and the strong into the weak. Those who did not heed warnings sought to be submerged by time, and regardless of the present, there would come a day when everything would return to silence. 0

At that moment, Hong Ling held a piece of information that had come from Sky's End Tower. After glancing at it briefly, he handed it directly to Gan Yuan and then turned his attention to the food on the table. 0

Gan Yuan took the thin sheet of paper and noticed Hong Ling's distracted expression. The paper contained some recent rumors circulating in the martial world. Unlike Hong Ling, who seemed indifferent, Gan Yuan read through it carefully. Liu Xia had reported a headless murder case in the eastern suburbs, likely referring to an incident in the ancient city. 0

The East Tang Swift Sword had cleared out a band of rogue thieves with just one person and one sword, discovering ten corpses in total. All the rogue thieves had been wiped out without a trace. 0

In Da Jin Wei City, the Azure Wind Escort Agency was transporting goods with a deposit of one hundred thousand taels of silver. Rumor had it that they were carrying an invaluable treasure. 0

In Donghe, a rare snow domain spirit herb had appeared, and now Hanyang Gate and Cold Mountain Sect were fiercely competing to seize it. 0

Gan Yuan set down the paper and asked, "What do you think of that person named Gu Ping?" 0

"What do you mean?" Bu Luo replied dismissively. "He's just a timid mouse, always hiding. It would be better for him to come out and let us finish him off." As he spoke, Hong Ling bit down hard on a chicken leg bone until it cracked. 0

"He's quite a determined young man," Gan Yuan countered. "Who knows if he has any talent? If he can cultivate at all, he might even surpass me." 0

Surprisingly, Hong Yulong did not agree with Hong Ling's opinion and instead offered a view completely opposite to his. 0

Gan Yuan explained, "I don't think that person lacks patience; he seems quite resourceful. He has me behind him, along with others from Sky's End Tower and Liu Xia Dynasty, even people from Moon River Sect and Ninth Underworld. With such a large group searching for him, if he were truly capable of cultivation, wouldn't that be terrifying?" 0

Hong Ling pouted and continued to eat her roast chicken, not bothering to come up with a retort for Gan Yuan. She believed that both Hong Yulong and Gan Yuan wouldn't make mistakes in their judgments. Since both of these geniuses said that person was No Genius, then that person truly was No Genius. 0

"Hey, did you hear? The Azure Wind Escort Agency, which was on the verge of breaking up, actually got someone important to hire them for a job. I really don't know what the employer was thinking," she remarked. 0

It seemed the news spread quickly. Gan Yuan overheard a few knights discussing the matter and directly used the intelligence report Hong Ling had handed him earlier to wipe the table. 0

Wei City wasn't far from there. If someone with ill intentions deliberately spread rumors, it wouldn't take much longer than Sky's End Tower to gather information—perhaps even faster, Hong Ling explained. 0

"Oh, someone with ill intentions," Gan Yuan muttered as he picked up a strand of hair from the table, rubbing it between his thumb and index finger. He paused mid-sentence and turned to look at Hong Yulong. 0

Hong Yulong glanced at the group discussing the Azure Wind Escort Agency and said, "Do you think that guy named Gu Ping already knows who is behind him?" 0

Gan Yuan didn't close his mouth but was filled with shock. It was hard to imagine anyone maintaining their sanity upon realizing so many people and forces were after them, wanting their life. A normal person would have probably broken down by now. 0

What Gan Yuan didn't know was that Gu Ping was already nearing his limit, barely hanging on by a thread of willpower as he fought for survival. 0

Gan Yuan couldn't believe Hong Yulong's speculation and didn't dare to think too deeply about it. Instead of kicking the ball back to Hong Yulong, he asked, "Why?" 0

"I don't deny it," Hong Yulong replied. "I had already thought of it; why else would I ask?" He no longer remained silent and began studying a chess manual with great seriousness. 0

"Then do you really think that's possible?" Gan Yuan questioned. 0

Hong Yulong shook his head. "That doesn't mean it's wrong, does it?" 0

Gan Yuan sighed. Regardless of whether it was true or not, he hoped to see Coco. If it wasn't real, then he would take action; even if it was false, the person named Gu Ping must be outside of Great Jin. Let's not forget, the Jade Void Sect is right on the outskirts of Great Jin. 0

He really hoped that Mingdu would soon find out the truth. Hong Ling was somewhat reluctant, hoping they could stay there a bit longer for news; surely someone would be unable to resist making a move first. 0

Since rumors had surfaced outside of Great Jin, it was likely that the person wouldn’t be far away. Perhaps it was a rumor intentionally spread by him? Gan Yuan stood up and gestured to his fellow disciples, indicating that it was time to pay up. 0
