Just as Gu Ping and Liu Lao Jiu finished changing their clothes, a person dressed in a brown rough cloth shirt approached them. Gu Ping knew that this was the person he had been looking for. 0

The newcomer paused for a moment, waiting for Gu Ping to respond. 0

Gu Ping didn't say much; instead, he pulled out a token from his bag. The token, resembling scales, had a character engraved in the center that surprised the newcomer. He uttered three words: "Hidden Dragon Token." 0

At that moment, Gu Ping felt relieved. He had been worried that the person might not recognize the Hidden Dragon Token. 0

"What is the Hidden Dragon Token?" Liu Lao Jiu asked, staring at the token. "That token must be worth a lot of money if sold. It could definitely buy a lot of good wine. Why didn't you bring it out earlier?" 0

Gu Ping was completely immune to Liu Lao Jiu's chatter and turned to the newcomer, asking, "Are you looking for someone?" 0

The newcomer shook his head. Gu Ping realized that he wasn't really looking for anyone; he was after the Hidden Dragon Token. A Hidden Dragon Token represented infinite possibilities, provided one understood what that small token truly signified. 0

With that token came a book and a letter, which Gu Ping intended to deliver to the designated recipient. He slightly curled his lips in anticipation. 0

The newcomer was taken aback. Was it really just about delivering a letter and a book? Surely, that person wouldn't be unaware of what the Hidden Dragon Token represented. It couldn't be that simple; he must be a real fool to think so. With that thought in mind, he decided not to ask any more questions. Clearly, the person in front of him had everything planned out; anything he said would be useless, so why waste his breath? He turned and left. 0

Liu Lao Jiu watched the newcomer depart and muttered to himself, "What’s with all the mystery surrounding the Hidden Dragon Token? He didn’t even explain what it meant. At least share some knowledge with me!" 0

"Do you know about Divine Dragon's Abyss?" Gu Ping suddenly asked. 0

Liu Lao Jiu shook his head. Gu Ping glanced at him while packing up his things and explained, "The four characters 'Divine Dragon's Abyss' refer to two major independent organizations outside of the Great Jin Kingdom's court. One of them possesses immense power and authority over life and death, monitoring everyone in the Great Jin Kingdom. There, even the emperor would want to know what color pants I’m wearing tomorrow; the Abyssal Guards would report it directly to him." 0

Liu Lao Jiu shuddered; it was terrifying. That organization felt like a knife hanging around his neck, making him feel as if he could be beheaded at any moment. 0

Gu Ping, unable to finish his thought, looked at Liu Lao Jiu and found it hard to laugh. The truth was indeed as he said. He continued, "Outside of the Dragon Guard, although there is great power beyond the Great Jin Kingdom, the Dragon Guard's influence extends throughout the World of Mortals. They operate in various industries, concealing their true identities, much like in that world of Yongxuan. They hide their true selves until the vast empire needs them; then they will transform into a sharp sword, piercing the enemy's heart directly. The scariest part is that I will never know where that sword will come from." 0

Liu Lao Jiu kept quiet; he understood that if Gu Ping spoke the truth, it would reveal just how immense the power of Liquid Chuang truly was. 0

The significance of the Hidden Dragon Order lay in its ability to compel Divine Dragon's Abyss to do anything for the bearer of the token at all costs—something that would not harm the Great Jin Dynasty. There were no discounts or abandonments, even if it meant sacrificing everything to accomplish a single task. 0

Hearing this made Liu Lao Jiu want to curse Gu Ping. Such a precious thing was being used to send a book, and not just any book but one that seemed worthless at first glance. He couldn't fathom what that person was thinking; Liu Lao Jiu felt that Gu Ping must be under too much pressure, causing his mind to break down. 0

Gu Ping, however, remained calm. He understood the significance of that letter in relation to their journey. If he hadn’t acted as he did, Coco would never reach the end of that road. He now deeply realized that living was what gave everything meaning. Thus, everything Gu Ping did was merely to survive; it was his most basic request. 0

Beside the lush bamboo forest, Dao Qi held a bowl of tea. The tea house had emptied out earlier, leaving only him behind. Dao Qi opened his mouth and took a large gulp of tea before gasping for breath. 0

His clothes were already soaked with blood—some belonging to others and some to himself. Bu Luo had won; after all, those older folks didn’t heed advice and would forever be unable to escape the natural laws of life and death. 0

Did I win? 0

Dao Qi heard a clean voice behind him. He slowly set down his tea bowl and poured another cup, saying, "It's obvious, isn't it?" 0

But I seek death. 0

Dao Qi swore that voice was the cleanest and purest he had ever heard. It sounded like clear spring water washing over stubborn stones or like an infant's first cry at birth—evoking pity in those who heard it. Yet such a voice was articulating something so cruel that it made Dao Qi feel an uncomfortable twist in his heart. 0
