Li Mu coldly stared at the lifeless body before him. After confirming there were no signs of life, he raised his hand and pushed the corpse to the ground. The body hit the floor with a dull thud, echoing in the dimly lit room, creating a somber atmosphere as if it were the last reverberation of life. Without a second glance, Li Mu quickly moved to the control desk, pulled out a chair, and sat down, his eyes fixed intently on the monitor. 0

He understood that the mission at hand was of great significance. He had to find and steal evidence of collusion between the Serpent Bite Gang and the Government Organization—evidence that, if made public, would expose the dark dealings between the government and the gang, severely undermining both. This information was crucial for his client; no matter what, this key data had to be retrieved. 0

The only lead he had was this Qihong Ice Factory. According to intelligence, it served as an important stronghold for the Serpent Bite Gang, while the Blood Blade Sect seemed to have set up a temporary operations center here as well. Li Mu calmly observed the surveillance footage, his eyes swiftly scanning every corner for any possible clues that might indicate where the documents were hidden. 0

The screen displayed multiple rooms and corridors within the factory. Some images showed dark, empty warehouses with only faint flickers of light illuminating their dilapidated state; others revealed storage rooms filled with weapons and ammunition, where members patrolled back and forth, occasionally engaging in hushed conversations that heightened the tension in the air. Suddenly, Li Mu's gaze froze on one particular room's footage, stirring something within him. 0

It was a dimly lit small room deep within Qihong Ice Factory, where a solitary figure sat—Wang Lei, the leader of the Blood Blade Sect. Dressed in a dark leather jacket, his expression was stern and imposing; he exuded an aura of brutality that seemed to permeate even through the screen. Wang Lei appeared deeply focused, his brow furrowed as he stared intently at a stack of documents in his hands, seemingly lost in thought. 0

Li Mu felt a flicker of surprise. He hadn’t expected to see Wang Lei here, and even more unexpectedly, this leader seemed troubled by the documents he held. The weight on his brow suggested that these papers were of utmost importance. Li Mu speculated that perhaps these documents contained the evidence he was seeking. 0

After contemplating for a moment, Li Mu decided to shift his target to this room. He had to take a risk; it was highly likely that Wang Lei's documents were exactly what he needed for his mission. His gaze sharpened like an eagle’s as he memorized Wang Lei's location and quickly sketched out an infiltration route leading there. 0

Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Li Mu adjusted his mindset and returned to a state of heightened focus. 0

He slowly stood up and inhaled deeply to maintain his calm and concentration. Crouching down, he deftly lifted the guard's body from the floor, feeling its heavy weight press against his shoulders. His movements were careful yet swift, ensuring minimal noise. After surveying the area briefly, he quickly locked onto an old storage cabinet in one corner of the room—dark and narrow inside, it would serve perfectly as a temporary hiding spot. 0

Li Mu gently opened the cabinet and pushed the corpse inside, carefully positioning it against the back so it fit snugly within its confines. He closed the door quietly, ensuring everything was flawless. Turning calmly away from it, he glanced toward the window where another body lay. Standing by the window, he opened it slightly again before skillfully flipping the body over the ledge so it slid down along the wall and crashed heavily onto the first-floor ground below with only a muffled sound quickly masked by the night breeze. 0

Having completed this task, Li Mu climbed back up to the window ledge with agility and slipped outside into the darkness. His gaze fixed on his distant target; he clearly remembered Wang Lei’s location—the corner room on the northeast side of the first floor where the Blood Blade Sect leader had set up a temporary office. Li Mu's eyes were as cold as ice as he silently analyzed how to approach that room. 0

He knew that rushing in would not be wise. Until he understood Wang Lei's exact movements, he had to proceed with caution. The leader of Blood Blade Sect was no ordinary adversary; if alerted to any anomalies, it could trigger chaos throughout the factory. Moreover, Wang Lei seemed fully engrossed in studying some critical materials and was evidently preoccupied with them. 0

Li Mu furrowed his brow slightly, contemplating how to draw Wang Lei out of the room without alarming anyone or diverting his attention elsewhere. He mentally calculated several possible strategies, recalling various enticing tactics he had executed in the past. He considered using sound or a brief visual distraction to arouse Wang Lei's suspicion, or even creating a noise to lure him out of the room, giving Li Mu the opportunity to slip inside. 0

After careful consideration, Li Mu decided to adopt the most prudent plan. He understood that this operation was crucial for maintaining the balance among several factions, and even a slight misstep could lead to disaster. His gaze remained calm as water, and he had already determined several steps to take, ready to implement them at any moment, becoming a sharp blade in the night, silently cutting into this dark struggle. 0

Li Mu returned to the small room on the second floor and quietly stepped outside after pushing the door open. His eyes swiftly scanned the surroundings as he rapidly devised an action route in his mind. Based on his previous observations, he had a general grasp of the building's layout and knew that the first floor was primarily used by the Blood Blade Sect as an underground arena, which meant that it was almost entirely filled with gang members. These individuals were scattered throughout, with many stationed at entrances and corridors on alert, occasionally patrolling with vigilance and busyness. Li Mu remained cautiously aware that if he wanted to enter the target room in the northeast corner in such an environment, he needed to divert their attention. 0

His gaze slowly swept over the arrangement around the arena. The surrounding light fixtures were built high, hanging rows of warm orange lights illuminating the fighters in the center of the ring. These lights converged into a focused spotlight, akin to stage lighting, making every movement of the fighters in the ring clearly visible. The gang members in the audience erupted into loud cheers and curses from time to time, their voices deafening and filling the space with a hellish fervor. 0

Li Mu focused on those high-mounted lights and quickly formed a plan in his mind—if he could sabotage the wiring of these lights to cause a short circuit, he could create an unexpected darkness and chaos within the arena. This sudden turn of events would surely incite panic among everyone present and might even compel gang members to rush over to investigate, creating a brief moment of confusion for him to stealthily enter the first floor and approach Wang Lei's room. 0

With his plan taking shape, Li Mu's expression sharpened as he moved swiftly and calmly. He carefully crept along the wall of the second floor toward the light fixtures, his footsteps silent as he blended into the shadows. Soon enough, he approached one junction of wires that climbed up along the wall and fed into the arena's lighting system. After ensuring no one was watching him, Li Mu reached into his tool bag and pulled out a small pair of wire cutters, decisively and skillfully snipping through a critical wire. 0

"Zii—" 0

A faint crackle of electricity echoed as Li Mu made his move; one set of lights flickered violently before going out entirely, plunging that section into darkness. The arena's illumination gradually dimmed as chaos erupted around him; confused shouts filled the air as some spectators gasped while others pointed toward where the wires were located, bewildered by what had just happened. 0

"What’s going on? Why did the lights go out?" someone complained loudly. 0

"Go check the wiring! What the hell is happening?" several gang members shouted angrily as guards rushed toward the light fixtures with flashlights in hand, trying to identify the source of the problem. 0

Li Mu smirked coldly from within the shadows, quickly stepping back to ensure he remained hidden in darkness and completely unnoticed. His plan had evidently worked; all attention in the arena shifted toward resolving the lighting issue, their focus no longer solely on patrolling and surveillance. This brief moment of chaos was precisely what he needed. 0

Seizing this opportunity for distraction, he silently slipped toward the staircase, preparing to descend to the first floor amidst everyone’s confusion over the lighting failure and further approach Wang Lei's room in the northeast corner. The target room was now within reach; it was a precise and swift infiltration hunt for which Li Mu was thoroughly prepared. 0
