Chapter 156: Mr. Clark 0

In the year 2001. 0

On an Offshore Oil Drilling Platform. 0

Flames were raging, shooting up and nearly engulfing the entire offshore platform. 0

Certain structures were groaning under the unbearable strain, and the firelight cast a colorful glow on the surface of the sea—the entire ocean was churning violently in response to the chaos. 0

In the distance, a Coast Rescue Team's Red Helicopter was flying in, clearly attempting to evacuate as many people as possible before everything was completely destroyed. 0

Not far from this Offshore Oil Rig, a Civilian Fishing Boat was slowly approaching, also hoping to lend a hand. However, witnessing such fierce flames, it was evident they had arrived too late. 0

At that moment, unnoticed by anyone on the platform, a man with a bare upper body and D-cup muscles was climbing up along the collapsing platform's supports. 0

He moved quickly but landed steadily; if one looked closely, they would see deep impressions left in the steel with each of his footholds. 0

But just then, directly above him, a blazing metal structure finally gave way. With a tremendous roar, it plummeted down towards him, engulfed in flames. 0

It seemed that the man had no chance to evade; he was struck directly. The flaming structure crashed down beside him and fell into the endless sea below with a thunderous sound, igniting flames on the water's surface. 0

However... 0

The man's figure did not vanish. He continued to climb upward, even as terrifying flames wrapped around him. It appeared as though he possessed some immunity to fire; despite being scorched by the flames, his expression remained unchanged, and there were no signs of burns on his body—he seemed like an Iron Body. At that moment, the mere temperature of these flames could not melt such steel-like flesh. 0

The man agilely continued his ascent, his robust muscles and physique evident in a series of fluid movements. 0

He successfully reached the top of the platform. 0

At this moment, the Offshore Oil Rig was completely engulfed in flames. The entire structure had warped; the original pathways had collapsed, fire spread everywhere, and the acrid smell of charred flesh and gunpowder filled the air. Those capable were choosing to save themselves—boarding the helicopters that had not yet collapsed to escape. Of course, some people… were trapped in the deepest part of the Offshore Oil Rig, feeling the flames and thick smoke, helplessly tasting the flavor of death in solitude. 0

The Robust Man was still ablaze, but he didn’t care. He stopped a hurried worker fleeing for his life and asked directly, “Where are the trapped people?” 0

The worker was startled by the flames still flickering on the man’s body. However, amidst the chaos and burning world around them, the man’s words were surprisingly calm and steady. Unable to help himself, the worker looked up, his terrified gaze meeting the man’s composed face for a moment before he instinctively pointed toward a certain level. 0

The Robust Man nodded. “The helicopter will be here soon; you need to get up there as quickly as possible.” 0

With that, he dashed away amidst the worker's astonished and shocked gaze, leaping over obstacles and stepping through flames. Along his path, any heavy debris that fell was effortlessly brushed aside by him. The flames and smoke surrounding him seemed unable to cause any discomfort or harm to this man who appeared no different from an ordinary person. 0

The worker stared at the man’s retreating figure for a while, gasping in awe before turning to run toward the direction of the helicopter. He knew that what he had witnessed today would be etched in his memory forever. 0

Meanwhile, the man had arrived outside the door where those trapped were located. 0

Something was blocking the door tightly; it was debris from a collapsed structure, and this area had long been consumed by flames. The iron Door Panel glowed faintly red under intense heat, and the air around it appeared distorted. 0

Yet, it seemed as if the man didn’t care about any of this. He reached out his hand to clear everything blocking his way outside and then decisively grasped both sides of the Door Panel, twisting it as if it were made of soft clay. With a surge of strength, he deformed and ripped it off its hinges, slamming it heavily onto the ground. 0

Inside the room, a group of terrified Platform Workers looked at him with extreme shock. 0

Still surrounded by flames, he glanced at everyone inside and said directly, “Follow me.” 0

After that, he forged ahead, leading everyone out into the open air of the platform just as a helicopter began to descend slowly. The crowd streamed aboard when suddenly, he noticed a detail—nearby, a massive structural piece was slowly tilting and was clearly about to crash down onto their platform. 0

In that critical moment, he dashed forward and lifted nearly a hundred meters of steel structure with his hands. His immense strength caused even the platform beneath his feet to warp under pressure. 0

As the helicopter slowly ascended, the platform began to creak under the immense weight, threatening to collapse. Suddenly, from the other side of the space, a brilliant burst of light surged forward, striking the structure. With a thunderous roar, the object was sent flying. 0

The man felt an immediate relief from the pressure and couldn't help but blink in surprise. He looked up to see a sleek, sci-fi styled aircraft hovering nearby. Standing in the open cargo door was an Eastern man wearing a trench coat and sunglasses, who was also gazing at him. 0

In the man's line of sight, the Eastern man removed his sunglasses and smiled, waving slightly. "Hey, buddy, want to come aboard..." 0

Before he could finish his sentence, the muscular man standing on the burning platform—who had just saved many lives—turned away and leaped down into the churning sea below. At that very moment, another massive explosion rocked the Offshore Oil Rig, forcing the aircraft to ascend and close its cargo door. 0

The Eastern man had no choice but to return to the cabin. However, as he looked down at the tumultuous waves below, he completed his thought aloud despite being alone. "Want to come aboard?" 0

"—Mr. Clark." 0
