A powerful surge of energy erupted from within me, as if it were trying to break free from its shackles.
"Come on, beast!" I roared, charging at Wu Mingyuan.
Fei Wan's beast let out a deafening screech, causing the entire warehouse to tremble.
I glanced back; the snow-white fox radiated a dazzling white light, its fur standing on end like a drawn sword.
Wu Mingyuan's expression changed dramatically, a flicker of fear flashing in his eyes.
"What is this...?"
I seized the opportunity and threw a punch aimed at his face.
Wu Mingyuan barely dodged, but my residual force struck his shoulder, sending him staggering backward.
"You think you're the only one with help?" Wu Mingyuan sneered as he snapped his fingers.
From the darkness, dozens of figures in black emerged like phantoms, their long guns and short cannons glinting ominously.
"Damn it!" I cursed under my breath, my mind racing.
At that moment, Fei Wan's beast suddenly charged toward the group of black-clad men, knocking enemies down left and right.
I took advantage of the chaos to engage Wu Mingyuan in close combat, each punch landing with brutal force, every strike aimed to kill.
"Why did you betray my parents?" I gritted my teeth, pouring sixteen years of hatred into each blow.
Wu Mingyuan chuckled coldly. "Because they were too naive! In this world, only power is truth!"
"Bullshit!" I shouted, delivering a heavy punch to his chest.
Caught off guard, Wu Mingyuan was sent flying by my blow, crashing hard against the wall.
He struggled to stand up but suddenly clutched his chest, his face turning pale.
"What... what have you done to me?" Wu Mingyuan asked in terror.
I looked at him coldly. "This is the power of the Eye of Time and Space, a legacy left to me by my parents."
Wu Mingyuan's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at me.
"It can't be... that power clearly..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a loud crash interrupted him.
The walls of the warehouse collapsed with a thunderous roar, and amidst the swirling dust, a massive figure slowly emerged.
"That's..." Fei Wan exclaimed.
I stared in disbelief at the scene before me.
The beast from the photograph, the legendary Eye of Time and Space, was now standing alive right in front of us!
It lowered its head and conveyed a message to us in a way I had never understood yet felt strangely familiar.
"It says... a greater disaster is about to descend," Fei Wan trembled as he translated. "Only by finding the legendary Relic can we stop all of this."
I turned to Wu Mingyuan, who had already collapsed on the ground, his eyes filled with terror and despair.
"This... this is impossible..." he muttered to himself.
I let out a cold laugh. "It seems you're not so impressive after all."
At that moment, the sound of sirens echoed from afar, growing closer.
"Damn it, we need to hurry!" I grabbed Fei Wan's hand and looked at the Eye of Time and Space. "Are you coming with us?"
The enormous beast nodded and suddenly transformed into a beam of light, diving into my body.
A warm current instantly spread throughout me, and I felt an unprecedented surge of power.
"Let's go!" I pulled Fei Wan and dashed out of the warehouse.
Behind us, Wu Mingyuan's desperate roar echoed, "You can't escape! This is just the beginning!"
We sprinted under the cover of night as the sound of sirens faded away.
Breathless, Fei Wan asked, "What do we do next?"
I clenched my fists, feeling the power surging within me. "We find the Relic and stop the disaster."
"But we don't even know what the Relic is," Fei Wan frowned.
I paused for a moment, suddenly recalling something. "Maybe... there are clues in the notebook my parents left behind."
Fei Wan's eyes lit up. "Yes! Let's go back and check!"
