Li Lin held the weak Xiao Xing in his arms, leading the group swiftly through the crumbling remnants of the abandoned factory. "We need to get out of here quickly," he said softly, worry and determination flickering in his eyes. "Old Ma, lead the way." 0

Old Ma nodded and guided everyone through a hidden underground passage. "This route can avoid most patrols," he explained as they walked. "But be careful; there might be radiation inside." 0

Liya followed closely behind, alertly scanning their surroundings. "Li Lin, Xiao Xing isn't doing well. We need to find that herb fast." 0

Li Lin gritted his teeth. "I know." He glanced down at Xiao Xing in his arms, a sharp pain piercing his heart. "Hang in there, little one. We'll have you fixed up soon." 0

The passage was dim and damp, filled with a decaying odor as the team moved cautiously forward, each person on high alert. 0

Suddenly, Xiao Xing let out a faint cry. Li Lin immediately stopped. "What’s wrong?" 0

Liya leaned in to observe. "It seems to sense something." 0

Old Ma frowned. "There might be danger ahead; we need to be careful." 0

Li Lin nodded, signaling everyone to slow down. He could feel Xiao Xing's unease rising within him, and a sense of caution crept into his mind. 0

Sure enough, they hadn’t gone far when a mechanism suddenly activated ahead, causing everyone to tense up. 0

"Trap!" Old Ma exclaimed quietly. "Watch your step!" 0

Before he could finish his warning, the ground suddenly gave way beneath them. Instinctively, Li Lin shielded Xiao Xing, but felt himself spinning into darkness. 0

"Li Lin!" Liya cried out, reaching for him but it was too late. 0

Li Lin and Xiao Xing fell into a deep pit, surrounded by icy cold water. He struggled to swim to the edge and gently placed Xiao Xing on the ground. 0

"Are you okay?" he asked softly, filled with guilt. 0

Xiao Xing weakly opened its eyes and let out a faint sound. Li Lin sighed in relief and looked around; they were in an underground cave, dark and damp, with a strange smell lingering in the air. 0

"Li Lin! Are you alright?" came Liya's anxious voice from above. 0

"We're fine!" Li Lin shouted back. "This seems to be an underground cave. You all find an exit first; we'll figure out how to regroup!" 0

"Be careful!" Liya shouted. "We'll find you as soon as we can!" 0

Li Lin took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. He knew this was not the time for self-pity; he had to find a way out quickly and save Xiao Xing. 0

At that moment, Xiao Xing suddenly struggled to get up. Li Lin hurriedly supported it. "What's wrong?" 0

Xiao Xing's eyes flickered with a faint light, as if guiding him toward something. Following its gaze, Li Lin was astonished to see a faint green glow deep within the cave. 0

"Could it be..." Li Lin thought, a spark of hope igniting within him. He carefully picked up Xiao Xing and moved toward the green light. 0

As he got closer, the glow became more pronounced. Finally, he saw the source of the light—a cluster of peculiar plants emitting a soft luminescence. 0

"Is this the herb that can heal Xiao Xing?" Li Lin murmured, a glimmer of hope swelling in his heart. 0

He cautiously gathered some of the plants and fed them to Xiao Xing. To his surprise, it seemed that Xiao Xing's condition was indeed starting to improve. 0

Just then, a strange noise echoed from deep within the cave. Li Lin turned around alertly, only to see several pairs of eerie green eyes flickering in the darkness. 0

"Damn it," he muttered under his breath, instinctively shielding Xiao Xing. "Looks like we're in trouble." 0
