A gust of wind brings the faint sweet fragrance of the flamboyant tree.
Chen Jia squints, leans on the windowsill with one arm, half of her body leaning out. Then she ties her hair up with a hair tie and sits down to eat breakfast.
Picking up a few fans, Chen Jia heard a knock at the door while holding a spoon.
Fang Yu stood in the corridor with a plastic bag, his handsome features becoming even more profound in the backlight.
"Why don't you open it yourself? The key is under the car mat."
"You're here, Jiang Mo has put away the keys."
Fang Yu squatted down to change shoes, Chen Jia picked up the plastic bag in his hand, and exclaimed, "Did you two plan this? You actually bought the same breakfast. I can't finish two portions."
Fang Yu glanced at the dining table, her face stiffened, and then she pretended to sit down calmly.
"I bought it for myself, I haven't had breakfast yet," Fang Yu picked up a piece of tofu skin from the paper bowl and stuffed it into her mouth.
"But you've never liked eating tofu skin since you were little, you said it was too sticky for you," Chen Jia puzzled.
Fang Yu swallowed a mouthful of sticky rice, "That was then, now I like it."
After finishing the meal, Chen Jia packed up the takeout box. Fang Yu looked at Chen Jia's slender figure, opened his mouth as if to say something, but hesitated when Chen Jia's amber eyes turned towards him.
"What's wrong with you, A Yu?" Chen Jia felt that he was acting strangely today.
"Did you sleep well last night?" The young man scratched his head.
"I slept very well. Momo gave me his bed."
"Did Jiang Mo go to the training team?"
"Yes, he went there very early."
Chen Jia feels a bit uncomfortable. Fang Yu actually asked such a leading question. It must be because Jiang Mo isn't here and he feels bored playing with himself.
Chen Jia turned on the TV and Central Channel 6 was showing Angelina Jolie starring in "Tomb Raider."
Watching a movie usually requires eating something, even though they had just eaten breakfast and were a bit full, Chen Jia still habitually opened a few bags of snacks and placed them on the coffee table. The two of them watched and ate at the same time.
As the movie reached its climax, there was one last piece of beef jerky left in the bag. Chen Jia reached out to grab it and accidentally touched Fang Yu's finger.
Chen Jia frowned, about to argue with him, but Fang Yu beat her to it, stuffing beef jerky into her mouth.
"Here, take it. I can't eat anymore."
Chen Jia was full of the taste of five-spice, looking at him puzzled.
Fang Yu suddenly stood up, " Chen Jia, I'll take you to a fun place."
"Where are we going?" It was so hot at noon, and she didn't really want to go out.
Fang Yu touched the tip of his nose and said, "You'll know when we get there."
Chen Jia stood in front of a simple red house, holding an umbrella and looking up at the sign that read "Wuji Martial Arts Special Skills Hall."
"Ayu, is this the fun place you were talking about?"
It doesn't look particularly special.
Fang Yu nodded and quickly signed his name on the sign-in book at the door, then took Chen Jia inside.
The practice room is a bit rudimentary, with half of the floor covered in black sponge mats and the other half exposed concrete. The walls are lined with a rusty full-length mirror that reflects the entire room.
It's currently break time, and the coach has gone to eat. Several students of similar age are drinking cold cola and gathering under a large fan to cool off.
From a distance, Chen Jia could smell the hot sweat on their bodies.
A girl with double ponytails saw Fang Yu, got up and ran a few steps, lightly jumped up, did six somersaults in a row, and landed gracefully on the mat, leaving Chen Jia wide-eyed.
Isn't this the martial arts from the martial arts novels? It's just too cool!
"Fang Yu, do you dare to have a competition?" The girl tilted her chin up, provocatively looking at Fang Yu, her voice crisp and bright.
The boys, seeing a good show, banged on the soda bottles and cheered.
Fang Yu raised an eyebrow and said with a smile, "Let's compare, are you afraid?"
