Chapter 19: Soul Collision
I shouted to grab his attention, then I formed a hand seal and chanted the Soul Collision spell, rolling forward like a bolt of lightning.
As I rolled toward him, everyone, including Chi Xinrong and Li Gui, turned to look at me almost simultaneously.
With a whoosh—bang!—I was already in front of him. I gathered my strength and crashed into him hard—only to hear someone scream in surprise, followed by a muffled thud as the fake Ma Qi, who was actually Li Gui disguised as me, fell to the ground.
In that instant, a strand of Shadow was forcefully ejected from his body.
Chi Xinrong, confused and shocked, shot me a resentful glare while shouting at the body I had just collided with: "Ma Qi..." Due to the force of our collision, Li Gui and I both fell to the ground almost at the same time.
My soul left the fat body and floated toward my own.
Li Gui appeared, sneering as he pretended to pounce on my body. I tried to enter but felt resistance and was forcibly ejected. Looking back, I saw Li Gui invading my body again. In a panic, I swung my arm wildly, causing a cacophony of noise as trash cans, potted plants, and various signs shook violently.
Did I have this much energy? Confused, I looked at my hands and saw people frantically trying to tidy up around me. My outburst startled many nearby; everyone, including the inspectors, rushed out to see what was happening.
"Ma Qi, do you dare harm your own body?" Li Gui was also exerting his power. He used an Evil Arts mind control spell to ensnare a Family Member of the Patient who was peeling an apple with a knife. The Family Member picked up the knife, their dead fish-like eyes glaring at my body lying on the ground as they approached step by step.
"What does he want to do?" Chi Xinrong realized the situation and tried to intervene; she was Li Gui's opponent. Li Gui continued to exert his power as the Family Member raised the knife menacingly. It seemed like my face would be ruined; although not exceptionally handsome, it was decent enough for future pursuits. If my looks were marred, Han Mi's family would dislike me even more.
I couldn't think about that now; I lunged toward the Family Member. To my disbelief, I slipped right through their body and ended up behind them without being able to stop their advance.
Li Gui's face occasionally peeled away from my body to reveal a sinister grin; his blatant provocation infuriated me. I remembered the syringe I had kept in my pocket earlier and turned back toward the fat body only to find that someone had taken it away without me noticing.
Looking back at Li Gui, I saw the Family Member drawing closer. Everyone present, including medical staff, stood frozen as if under a spell, staring at this patient wielding a sharp knife inching toward my body. My cunning adversary Li Gui truly seemed intent on putting me in grave danger; he had cast an evil immobilization spell on them.
I can't go back to being fat. What should I do? In an instant, my mind went blank as I turned to see the dazed expression on Chi Xinrong's face. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck me, and I silently recited the invisibility spell before darting into her Yintang acupoint.
I took over Chi Xinrong's body. Ah! My hands instinctively moved up and down, and the sensation was completely different. I was a man, suddenly transformed into a woman—who could accept such a drastic change?

"Don’t make a sound. I’ll explain later; right now, I need to save myself." Everyone had been enchanted, and after I took over Chi Xinrong's body, I could move freely. At the same time, I felt a surge of power coursing through me as a voice from another place reminded me, "Ma Qi, if you don’t act soon, it will be too late."
Time was of the essence. Just as Li Gui thought his scheme had succeeded, I lunged forward and swiftly snatched the sharp knife from the Family Member of the Patient's hand. Perhaps Li Gui was caught off guard by Chi Xinrong's sudden awakening.
The scene was chaotic; some were running, others were shouting, and some were trying to drag away those who had collapsed. As for where they were taking them, that was still unclear. Another person rushed in and quickly lifted my borrowed body while revealing a face twisted with a sinister grin—Li Gui—before sending me into a room. The heavy iron door closed behind me with a thud, temporarily securing my safety but also sealing off my chance to reclaim my body.
I couldn’t forcefully take it back; I had to be clever about it. I noticed amidst the chaos that I hadn’t seen the fat body anywhere. I asked those around me, but no one seemed to have noticed; it was maddening—I had lost track of the fat body.
Chi Xinrong was still shouting insistently, "Ma Qi, you... you can’t do this... what should I do?"
“Rongrong, it's all on you. That person isn't me; it's the Evil Sorcerer. You've heard of Li Gui, right? He's the one who took control of my body. I've lost the fat shell and need to find it quickly, so for now, bear with me. I have to use your identity to find Fat and then deal with Li Gui.”

"Fatty is inside," Stone's faint voice echoed in my ears.

"Where are you?" I asked, looking around. If anyone saw me talking to myself, they'd definitely think I was crazy. I have principles; I can tolerate a lot, but I can't stand being called insane.
"I'm across from you. Now we can each rule our own little kingdom and enjoy ourselves." I glanced across the way and saw a stunning nurse winking at me, her finger playfully beckoning. Damn it, even at a time like this, Stone was still flirting.
