Chapter 071: Searching for Qin Ye (Part Two) 0

This place is truly uninhabitable. 0

The Dilapidated House has a broken door, and the air is filled with a stench of decay. 0

In my desperation, I hoped that the madman was the Qin Ye I was looking for, but I also dreaded that the Qin Ye I sought would be in such a state. 0

The madman called out to me, "Qin Ye," but he seemed indifferent. He crouched by the broken door, peering outside. I aimed a kick at him, but he nimbly dodged to the side, and my foot struck the door instead, producing a loud bang. 0

"You've caused trouble," he said with a sinister grin, retracting his neck and scurrying behind me. 0

What trouble could I possibly cause? 0

It felt like I was dreaming—surely this was all a dream. I carelessly pushed through the door. Before I could get close, a sharp sound echoed as several dark, furry heads squeezed in from outside. Each head had eyes glowing like copper bells, emitting an eerie green light. At the same time, I caught sight of their razor-sharp teeth and wide mouths. In an instant, they lunged at me as they entered through the broken door. 0

Damn it, it suddenly clicked. Now I understood why the madman had hidden behind me; he must have known such ferocious creatures would appear. Just a hair's breadth away, these dog-like beasts nearly sank their teeth into me. Startled, my legs trembled, and I leaned back as the madman urgently pulled me away. 0

His strength was surprisingly formidable. 0

The beasts missed biting me and retreated momentarily before trying to squeeze back in. The hole in the door widened; what had once been just enough space for a head was now large enough for half a body to fit through. Their savage eyes and the viscous drool dripping from their gaping mouths made my scalp tingle with fear. 0

I have always been terrified of dogs. 0

As the madman shouted for help and pulled me backward with all his might, his efforts were futile—I couldn't stand up. There was no way to deal with the creatures that were almost breaking through the hole in the door. They emitted piercing shrieks and clawed at the door with a terrifying scratching sound that sent chills down my spine. 0

I stammered, "W-what are these things?" 0

The madman chuckled, drooling as he spoke, "They're all dogs... dog meat is delicious." He showed no sign of fear, instead appearing to revel in the moment. Damn! This lunatic was truly insane; he knew the danger yet still dragged me backward, fixated on dog meat at such a critical moment. 0

The broken door ultimately couldn't withstand the vicious assault of the Vicious Dog. One of them charged in first, revealing its sharp, white teeth, with drool dripping from its mouth like glistening slime. It stared at us with a ferocious gaze, as if it had spotted a plate of braised meat. 0

When the madman saw the dog rush in, he grabbed me and shouted for help. 0

Oh my god, I was scared too. 0

I tried to break free from him, but he held on tightly, spinning us around in place. The dog lunged at us, biting my backside several times. A chilling sensation crawled over me like ants spreading across my body. 0

If my brother got bitten by that dog, I wondered if he would contract Rabies. Given the current situation, it seemed more than just Rabies; perhaps before the disease even manifested, my brother would be torn apart and devoured by these vicious dogs. 0

The madman's strength was immense; he spun me around like a top. Although the dog was fierce, it became dizzy from our spinning. 0

Finally stopping, I noticed more dogs outside the broken door scrambling to get in. The one that had entered was still shaking its head as if it hadn't regained its senses. 0

My heart raced wildly as I kicked out sideways. Thud—after a dull sound, my kick proved useless; my foot throbbed painfully, but I couldn't afford to stop and wait for death. The dog yelped in fright and retreated a few steps. 0

The madman laughed again and pointed behind me. Damn! That crazy fool had somehow opened a hole behind us without me noticing. 0

Moreover, as I retreated with the madman toward that hole, I clearly saw that where he had been spinning me earlier was a Bagua Formation. With the Bagua Formation in place, the Vicious Dogs couldn't harm us and even got dizzy from it. 0

This madman was no ordinary person. 0

Bursting out of the Dilapidated House, he grinned and handed me a tattered garment. "With this, the Vicious Dogs won't chase you. Trust me, I'm not wrong." 0

Can I really trust a madman? 0

But just moments ago, he had stepped on the Bagua without my knowledge and walked out a complete Bagua Formation. This clearly showed that he was indeed Qin Ye. 0

In fact, facing the harsh reality, I had no time to think further. The Vicious Dogs were already charging towards us. Having this ragged clothing might not be a bad idea; perhaps it could really deceive the eyes of the Vicious Dogs. Without hesitation, I took the tattered garment and draped it over myself. The madman chuckled ominously; why did his laughter feel so sinister? 0

What happened next left me truly bewildered. 0

The madman was utterly wicked; leading me out was genuinely terrifying. All around us, there were nothing but dogs—black, menacing dogs! Run—this madman was surprisingly fast! With so many dogs, each one skinny as a bone, they all looked identical. 0

I had a bad feeling; damn it, it seemed we had stumbled into the Evil Dog Village from the Underworld. 0

The madman ran quickly. I was the runner-up in races back at school, but now keeping up was quite a struggle. 0

Strangely enough, those Vicious Dogs ignored him completely and instead surrounded me tightly. 0

A large black circle of encirclement rapidly closed in; I was just a point within that circle. 0

With bared teeth and drool dripping from their mouths, the Vicious Dogs leaped toward me with murderous intent, scaring me nearly to death! There was no way to retreat or escape! The madman had long disappeared from sight. This was the consequence of trusting a lunatic. Despairing, I closed my eyes as the roars of the Vicious Dogs echoed around me, their chaotic sounds resembling sharp teeth tearing at me. My mind conjured bloody images of being ripped apart while the dogs feasted on my remains amidst their frenzied growls. 0

Wait—a clear shout pierced through the cacophony of barking and growling: "Fool! Take off that clothing! You can't die yet!" 0

The clothing! 0

I suddenly understood why the madman was not being chased by the Vicious Dogs; it was clear that he had stripped off his clothes and given them to me. In my moment of despair, I quickly removed the clothes and hung them on a bare branch of a tree, then crouched down with my head tucked under my arms in a dense cluster of some kind of plant, waiting to see what would happen. 0

The roaring sound drew closer, and the thudding of iron hooves echoed as they rushed toward the tree. That piece of clothing was indeed problematic; I watched as the Vicious Dogs surrounded the bare tree, barking and lunging at it. The tree shook in agony as the clothing fell down, and the dogs went wild, tearing and clawing at it until it was shredded beyond recognition. I remained calm and quickly retreated toward the madman who was waving at me. 0

From a distance, the writhing Vicious Dogs looked like a moving black mountain, their hatred for that piece of clothing indescribable in words. 0

The clothes belonged to the madman, but now he was no longer just a madman; he was a cunning Qin Ye. 0

"You are Qin Ye. Why did you pretend not to know just now?" 0

Qin Ye propped himself up on the ground, a piece of unknown weed dangling from his mouth, a playful smile on his face. "You never admitted that I am Qin Ye." 0

I was momentarily speechless. Who would have thought that Lao Luo's Qin Ye would be a madman? Moreover, his business card was far too exaggerated. Besides, how could Qin Ye possibly come looking for me? That had been my initial low-level thinking. 0
