As a youth raised in the Great Dynasty, Shasha's thoughts had never ascended to such heights. 0

Many people might only focus on saving those in front of them or helping those they see in distress, but for someone like Blade, these actions are merely futile gestures. No matter how kind-hearted you are, you cannot save everyone. 0

The movies Shasha had seen were all heavily edited; if one truly believed that there were no casualties or that casualties were minimal, that would be a gross misunderstanding. In the real Marvel Universe, if two powered individuals fought in a crowded city, the end result would be a scene of carnage. 0

Although it was difficult for him to accept, Shasha would not attempt to convince Blade otherwise. Blade's perspective stemmed from a certain moral baseline or perhaps from the fact that he had yet to transition from an ordinary person's identity. 0

However, when Shasha found himself in Blade's position and perspective, he might realize that Blade's methods were indeed justified. 0

After a long silence, Shasha slowly spoke, "Can I take the lead?" 0

Blade looked at him deeply and asked, "Are you sure you can handle it?" 0

"Regardless of the outcome, we have to try, don't we?" Shasha replied, making a decision in his heart. 0

If he could eliminate Daken before the bomb exploded, then there would be no explosion and no casualties. Although the process would be challenging, if they didn't try, they wouldn't have any chance at all. 0

With this thought in mind, Shasha's expression became resolute. The success rate was extremely low, but he still wanted to give it a shot. 0

Before long, Whistler had finished installing the bomb. The vampires on the top floor were still unaware of the impending disaster. 0

Daken finally appeared at the gathering. He looked very young; his appearance suggested a character that was arrogant and proud yet also sinister. After all, leading a blood clan organization was no small feat. 0

However, even someone like Daken was oblivious to the fact that his ambitions were being sabotaged and that both his power and life were at risk. He was enjoying a rare moment of leisure. 0

But then a gunshot rang out, halting all their activities as one of their own turned to ash. 0

In the next moment, screams erupted among them as humans panicked. Daken raised his hand to signal for silence; the blood clan members responsible for guarding the building had already taken their positions with weapons ready. Any sign of trouble would result in them being shot down like targets. 0

Yet they could never have anticipated that the attack did not come from within the building but rather from across the way. 0

Through the scope of his sniper rifle, Shasha watched as those individuals looked around in confusion. A smirk crept onto his lips before he fired again; the bullet whistled through the air and pierced through a vampire's skull. 0

"Damn it! That guy isn't here!" Daken quickly assessed the situation and began scanning the surrounding buildings. Soon enough, he locked onto a platform about three stories taller than this building to the east where he spotted the glint of a scope reflecting back at him. 0

Realizing he had been exposed, Shasha quickly fired two more shots before tossing aside his sniper rifle and diving to the side. In the next moment, the spot where he had just stood was bombarded by intense gunfire. 0

With his back against the wall, gripping the grappling gun crafted by Whistler, he took a deep breath. As the gunfire ceased and then erupted again, Huo Ran sprang up and aimed for Daken on the top floor! 0

With Blade providing cover, Shasha only needed to dodge a few stray bullets to reach Daken's location safely. 0

The moment he landed, he rolled on the ground, and in the brief interval, Silver Spike shot out in all directions, claiming the lives of several vampires instantly. 0

While maneuvering behind cover and engaging with the enemy, supported by Blade's firepower, if Shasha couldn't eliminate those foes aside from Daken, then the Liquid Snake ability he had fortuitously acquired would be wasted. 0

As their numbers dwindled, Daken's expression grew increasingly furious. However, at that moment, he found himself without any good options. From the moment he was attacked, he knew he had been betrayed; after all, not many people knew about this place. 0

"If I find out who betrayed me, I'll skin them alive!" 0

Bang! 0

A female vampire beside Daken was hit and instantly turned to ash with a look of despair on her face. 0

"Daken Fester, we can't keep this up! We need to get out of here!" Quinn shouted at Daken. 0

After pondering for a moment, Daken extinguished his thoughts of resolving Shasha and Blade right then; he decided to retreat from danger. 0

Soon, Quinn and the others protected Daken as they withdrew. During their escape, Blade attempted several times to take him down, but Shasha's gun always managed to deflect Blade's lethal bullets. 0

Thus, Daken escaped from the top floor, leaving behind his most capable subordinate and mistress, Marguerite. 0

With a significant amount of firepower withdrawn, those left behind were naturally no match for Shasha. 0

During this time, aside from Marguerite's futile struggle before being captured by Shasha, all others—including those humans who had willingly fallen—were systematically eliminated by him. 0

Once all was said and done, Shasha saw Blade approaching him with a dark expression. Before he could speak, Blade delivered a heavy punch right to his face. 0

Admittedly, Blade's strike was indeed powerful; Shasha felt dizzy and warm blood trickling down his face. 0

Blade grabbed Shasha by the collar and coldly said to him, "Is it worth destroying my plan for them?" 0

Shasha forced herself to smile despite the dizziness overwhelming her. "You have your ideas, and I have my methods." 0

Blade's cheek twitched at her words. He raised his fist, ready to strike again, but suddenly held back. After a moment of closing his eyes, he let out a slow sigh. "Forget it; after all, you are human." 0

Seeing this, Shasha felt a twinge of guilt. She had indeed let Daken go on purpose. As long as Daken was here, the bomb could be detonated at any moment. Only by doing this could the people living here and those in the vicinity be safe. 0

"Actually, you don't need to worry about us not being able to find Daken. Quinn's tracker hasn't been removed." 0

Just as Blade was about to respond, Whistler, who was searching Daken's room, suddenly spoke up. "Sorry to interrupt you, but there's something I want Eric to take a look at. Of course, you should be prepared for what you might see." 0

Blade paused, confused by his words. 0

Shasha suddenly thought of something, and her expression toward Blade became complicated. 0
