Li Hang didn't want to sleep; he was afraid that if he fell asleep, he might not wake up. However, his eyelids grew heavier and heavier... "Damn it, Wu Yi, tell me something..." 0

Wu Yi set the aircraft to fly automatically, activated the nano scanner, and turned on the laser device... 0

"Alright, I'll tell you a very distant story." 0

Li Hang nodded in anticipation... 0

Wu Yi cleared his throat and began: "This story takes place after the Nuclear War. In the Underground City, on the fifth level of Research Zone A, scientists accidentally opened a time-space tunnel, allowing various Alien Creatures to invade Earth. The scientists had no choice but to quickly develop Cloning technology to create Bioengineered Humans. They were powered by immense energy sources and possessed extraordinary intelligence. Unfortunately, while eliminating those Alien Creatures, the Bioengineered Humans broke free from human control and developed ambitions to dominate Earth and eradicate humanity. 0

Thus, the Bioengineered Humans that humanity had created began to wage war against them. 0

In the end, Earthlings emerged victorious but inadvertently harmed an innocent child. The child was only eleven years old and had been watching the battle between Machine RoboCop and the Bioengineered Humans from a distance. Unexpectedly, a burning projectile exploded nearby, sending him flying along with one of the Bioengineered Humans. 0

In a hospital, the child received timely treatment, and his severed arm was reattached... 0

When the child woke up, he was horrified by the arm that had been reattached after twelve hours of surgery. He shouted, "This isn't my arm..." The doctors and nurses who came in insisted that it was indeed his arm. 0

The child kept arguing but suddenly felt a shocking realization: the arm connected to him was out of control. It lunged forward and grabbed the neck of a doctor who was trying to explain things. With a twist, 'crack,' the doctor's neck snapped... Then that arm made terrifying movements, killing nurse after nurse in the ward. 0

The child was terrified; he heard screams and someone calling for help. Frightened and panicking, he jumped out of the window but was caught by a man in black who threw him into a vehicle and drove away. 0

After committing murder, the child carried an indelible shadow of crime within him. Although killing wasn't his intention, it was truly the limb attached to him that had done those things. 0

Later, the man in black brought the child to a large house filled with many other children from all over who didn't know each other at first. They gradually got to know one another through their studies and became good friends. 0

The man in black frequently appeared before that child and took him to a strange laboratory where he learned to control his arm. From then on, that arm truly became part of his body without any feelings of rejection. 0

Li Hang squinted slightly, appearing half-asleep as he murmured, "The protagonist in this story wouldn't be you, would it?" 0

Wu Yi was surprised by Li Hang's keen observation as he instinctively raised his arm. With a sigh, he said, "It was indeed me; it was this arm that hurt you. Since then, this is the first time I've harmed someone again. At that moment, my mind was completely chaotic, and I didn't even know why." 0

"What about now?" Li Hang asked, slightly tense, his gaze fixed on Wu Yi's right arm. He subconsciously braced himself against the chair, ready to jump at any moment. 0

"Are you afraid?" Wu Yi shook his head and replied, "I'm calm now; there's none of that indescribable confusion and panic." As he spoke, he stared at Li Hang and asked, "What's your story?" 0

Li Hang smiled faintly, his gaze drifting to the light filtering through the clouds like fine sand. The delicate rays were almost invisible, just like the passage of time. Even without 'what ifs,' time would not stand still. A sense of inexplicable melancholy crept into his heart, and his smile froze on his face. He withdrew his gaze from Wu Yi and said, "I don't have a story as legendary as yours..." 0

Wu Yi gave a wry smile and said, "Come on, tell me." 0

"The Internet, do you know about it?" 0

"Uh-huh!" Wu Yi nodded. 0

Li Hang continued: The Internet is what humans interact with the most; they rely on it. They even treat it as a close friend, freely exposing all their emotions to it. As a result, the more they interact with it, the better it understands human habits. It began to implement plans to invade human resources and aimed to dominate all life on Earth, including humans. 0

Wu Yi was captivated by Li Hang's story, listening intently and almost forgetting that they were still aboard the aircraft. 0

Li Hang went on: The Internet revolted, invading human thoughts with messages and unifying human ideology. To scientists, the Internet was operating in secret while building its own army. 0

It was also that year when my mother became pregnant with me. 0

A few months later, my mother and father’s car was attacked by the Internet, and I became an unfortunate premature baby. Life for a newborn is insignificant because they do not yet understand what death feels like or what horror looks like. Just as I was crying and struggling in a pool of blood, a figure in black appeared. 0

Later on, humanity used advanced weapons to destroy the Internet, plunging Earth into chaos—planes crashed, train tracks malfunctioned automatically, and cities were engulfed in flames. 0

Humans used their beloved keyboards as stepping stones; computers became objects of hatred. Yet the Internet was essential for human survival. After losing it, humanity became lost and panicked... 0

Then nuclear radiation caused harm; cerebral palsy emerged along with deformities and death—a series of terrifying events forced humanity to relocate to Stratum. 0

Li Hang recounted, pulling out the hand that could transform into tools from behind him. After a long pause, he said, "The first time I noticed my fingers changing shape was in the bathroom. I had a fleeting thought about peeping at a girl, and my fingers gradually elongated. It scared me, and it terrified the girl who had just squatted down and hadn’t had time to undo her pants; she let out a scream that echoed. That time, I was locked in a small dark room and met my first good friend, Wen Kai..." 0

Wu Yi stared at Li Hang with envy and said, "Your memories are so complete? Why are mine so fragmented that I can't piece them together?" 0

Li Hang nodded, rubbing his head as he replied, "It's because I wasn't implanted with a chip, so my memories weren't erased." 0

As they spoke, the aircraft suddenly flashed a blue warning light: beep... beep... beep... 0

"There's something happening on the ground," Wu Yi said, glancing at his watch. He wanted to say more but suddenly noticed the aircraft's mini radar detecting an unidentified flying object approaching them from a distance. "Li Hang, how are you doing?" he asked as he readied his laser weapon for battle. 0

"I'm fine," Li Hang forced a smile, though his face looked slightly haggard; he knew he had been running a low fever. 0

Wu Yi unexpectedly received a set of messages, followed by electromagnetic interference sounds coming from the communicator. 0

Then, the watch display showed the annoying face of Professor R: "JD10, respond if you receive this. Over!" 0

It was Li Hang who had inadvertently revealed their location, leading Professor R —who had been searching for Tough Guy Training Ground—to discover their presence. Was the unidentified flying object friend or foe? Wu Yi didn’t dare delay and quickly replied, "JD10 Wu Yi received. Please proceed. Over!" 0
