Eye Patch Man grabbed the Chain tightly, showing no intention of letting go. His single eye glared fiercely at Wen Kai, causing the latter to freeze momentarily, gripping the Steel Bar even tighter. He struggled to suppress his impatience, waiting to see what tricks Eye Patch Man would pull next. 0

Xiao Qiang felt the strain as he was pulled by the Chain, moving in sync with Eye Patch Man but eager to learn some hidden secrets from him. He could only remain passive, standing still while subtly urging Wen Kai to endure. 0

"Do you want to know who caused all of this?" Eye Patch Man's gaze suddenly turned cold, filled with a chilling intensity as he fixed his eyes on Xiao Qiang. "Everything is your doing..." 0

Xiao Qiang was taken aback, unable to comprehend the meaning behind his words. "What nonsense are you talking about?" He couldn't believe what the other was saying; based on his age, everything happening before him shouldn't have anything to do with him. 0

Eye Patch Man's words also enraged Wen Kai, who disregarded Xiao Qiang's attempts to stop him. With a flick of his finger, the sharp tip of the Steel Bar pierced through Eye Patch Man's skin. "If you keep talking nonsense, I swear I'll carve out your heart and cook it." 0

"Get your hands off me." Eye Patch Man returned to his usual cold demeanor, his hawk-like gaze shifting away from Wen Kai's face. He focused back on the Chain in front of Xiao Qiang's chest, suddenly changing his expression to one of intense concentration. His fingers tightened around the Chain as his knife-like gaze lingered on Xiao Qiang's face. "What a fine Chain, a priceless treasure; too bad it's being used in the wrong place." 0

Hearing the underlying meaning in Eye Patch Man's words, which were delivered with such seriousness and without a hint of pretense, a sliver of unease crept into Xiao Qiang's heart. 0

"Sir, please explain. Just say it outright; maybe I can find a way to remedy it..." 0

Eye Patch Man's expression hardened as he casually released his grip on the Chain. With a sidelong glance from his peculiar single eye, he stated slowly, "I want to tell you the truth too, but unfortunately, something won't allow it." 0

Just as Eye Patch Man finished speaking, Wen Kai instinctively raised and thrust his arm forward. In an instant, the Steel Bar that had been aimed at Eye Patch Man pierced through a Skeleton Mutant clinging to the overhead pipes. Blood gushed down along the Steel Bar, covering him in gore. 0

"Ugh, that's disgusting." 0

Meanwhile, Xiao Qiang had already launched himself far away; the arc of light in his hand resembled a leaping dragon soaring through the air. Below him lay several Skeleton Mutants sprawled out recklessly, seeking their demise. 0

Yet Eye Patch Man remained unfazed. Taking advantage of the moment when Xiao Qiang and Wen Kai were occupied with the sudden appearance of Skeleton Mutants, he climbed up to a higher vantage point to observe from above. "Three coming in from nine o'clock." 0

Upon hearing Eye Patch Man's words, Xiao Qiang and Wen Kai realized that he wasn't afraid for himself; he had climbed up high to help them scout for enemies and provide timely warnings. 0

"There's no need to wait; let's head straight for their lair," Wen Kai said, wiping the blood from his hands onto his pants, a casual tone in his voice. 0

Xiao Qiang agreed, "That's a good plan. Let's pay a visit to their elders." 0

Eye Patch Man, hearing that they were going to the Skeleton Mutant's lair, hurriedly jumped down from the pipe, his expression tense as he exclaimed, "Are you out of your minds? There are thousands of Skeleton Mutant nests! Going there is like throwing eggs against a rock; in no time, they'll tear you to shreds." 0

Xiao Qiang and Wen Kai dashed off, one on each side. The latter tossed a remark back at Eye Patch Man: "You're just being alarmist." In the blink of an eye, the two had already leaped several yards away, disappearing from sight. 0

Eye Patch Man looked at the dark pipe, a dagger strapped to his waist and no other weapons on him. He gripped the dagger tightly in his hand and muttered under his breath, cursing, "Those little brats, not listening to good advice; they'll regret it soon enough." After cursing, he realized they had already run far away and could only shake his head and sigh. 0

After pondering for a long while, he ultimately decided to go after them. Eye Patch Man chased after them, the sound of his footsteps echoing through the corridor. A flash of regret crossed his mind. Why hadn’t he taken a moment to explain things clearly? If his momentary stubbornness led to another tragedy like the one that happened many years ago, how could he continue living? 0

He remembered how he had fought tooth and nail to escape from the Living Dead's clutches, all for this day to come. But why did he feel so hesitant upon seeing them? Eye Patch Man pushed forward with determination; he was willing to risk everything to inform them of the truth before disaster struck. 0

Ignoring the stumbles beneath him and not even noticing what he stepped on, he focused solely on catching up with Xiao Qiang and Wen Kai. He wasn’t foolish; he understood that they were like runners in a marathon. The ones ahead wouldn’t stop, and no matter how fast he ran from behind, it would be impossible to catch up in such a short time. 0

Shooting was his forte. But when it came to racing, Eye Patch Man could only look up at the dark walls of the corridor and sigh. As he sprinted over long distances, old injuries in his chest began to throb painfully. He struggled to keep his head up and look ahead, lamenting that at his age, he was no different from an old ox that had spent years laboring in the fields—after aging and weakening, there was no longer any strength left for risking his life. 0

After running for a while and resting intermittently, poor Eye Patch Man was nearly foaming at the mouth. Finally reaching an open area—a small arched space—he found a massive manhole cover in the center that likely led to the ship's waste compartment. 0

The emptiness surrounded him; he was all alone in this arched space which had four exits. Each Gate was formed by geometric shapes pieced together. Following the route he knew well, he headed straight toward the Skeleton Mutant's lair... 0

Up ahead, Xiao Qiang suddenly stopped—Wen Kai trailing behind didn’t understand why he had halted. He kept glancing back... 0

"Didn’t he follow us?" 0

"Who?" 0

"Eye Patch Man." 0

"If he didn't follow, then he didn't follow. What a weirdo, are you still thinking about him?" 0

"No, I feel like he has something to tell us." 0

"Pfft, you really believe that? You trust the words of a neurotic weirdo?" 0

Xiao Qiang turned around and replied, "It's just a gut feeling! I think he knows secrets we want to find out." 0

Wen Kai was puzzled, stretching his neck to look ahead, then glancing back at Xiao Qiang, who had already turned to run back. "Are you really going?" 0

Xiao Qiang couldn't shake off thoughts of Eye Patch Man. Danger lurked everywhere here. Those detestable Skeleton Mutants had spread throughout the entire spaceship; who knew if they would take advantage of Eye Patch Man being alone and get rid of him? 0

Eye Patch Man was exhausted from running and could hardly move anymore. He had no choice but to lean against a rusted pipe to catch his breath. Just then, a small figure emerged from the shadows—a Little Skeleton Mutant, with skin resembling that of the Skeleton Mutants. It seemed unafraid of Eye Patch Man, tilting its head and puffing up its surprisingly large blood-red eyes, rolling them as it stared at him. 0
