“Haoyang, what’s wrong with you?” I shouted as I saw him standing still. Just as my words left my mouth, Haoyang suddenly took a few steps back, as if trying to avoid something. 0

Without a word, he rushed back to my side, lifted me up, and said to Li Zhisheng beside us, “Quick, we need to leave! This place isn’t safe!” 0

“What did you see…” Before I could finish, Haoyang hoisted me up. The pain made it hard for me to speak, so I could only let him carry me as we hurried away. 0

In the midst of the chaos, I glanced back and saw a female corpse with only half a body propping itself up on the ground, relentlessly chasing after us. It was moving even faster than we were. 0

“Help me! Why won’t you save me… why!” The woman behind us shouted as she closed in. 0

Seeing that the half-bodied corpse was about to catch up, Li Zhisheng quickly gathered energy in his hand and hurled a Black Sphere at the pursuing figure. 0

In an instant, there was a loud bang as the Black Sphere exploded behind us, sending debris crashing down around us. The female corpse took the hit from Li Zhisheng and seemed to be utterly destroyed. 0

Haoyang didn’t slow down; instead, he quickened his pace and continued forward. Li Zhisheng looked puzzled and asked Haoyang, “Aren’t they just some Wandering Spirits and Wild Ghosts? Why do we need to run?” 0

Haoyang explained, “There are indeed just some Wandering Spirits and Wild Ghosts over there, but there are too many of them. We’re both injured; if we exhaust our strength now, even the weakest Wandering Spirits and Wild Ghosts could tear us apart. So it’s better to avoid unnecessary exhaustion.” 0

Hearing this, I thought to myself that it was no wonder he had experience from past missions; his combat knowledge far exceeded ours. Whether we would be exhausted or not was one thing; being stranded here with no help in sight was another. If we drained our energy too soon, even the wild beasts that might exist in these mountains could devour us whole. 0

With that thought in mind, I gritted my teeth against the pain and quickened my pace alongside Haoyang and Li Zhisheng. 0

I didn’t know how long we had been running when the bright moon began to descend. By this time, everyone was feeling fatigued and struggling due to our injuries. 0

“Should be enough by now; we’re far from the accident site…” Li Zhisheng panted beside me. 0

Upon hearing this, Haoyang stopped and looked back. “Yeah, it should be about right.” 0

With that, Haoyang set me down, and we all leaned against a large rock by the roadside to rest. We had already distanced ourselves from the mountain road; the surroundings were quiet except for the occasional chirping of insects. 0

"Let's check our injuries first..." Haoyang said. 0

"I don't need to; I'm definitely the most injured one here..." I replied. 0

Li Zhisheng took a look at himself and said, "I don't seem to have any serious injuries, just some bruises on my joints and a few minor scrapes." 0

Haoyang didn't say anything; he slowly rolled up his pant leg, revealing a deep gash on his leg, as if something sharp had sliced through it. The raw flesh was exposed, blood oozing out in front of me. 0

Seeing this, Haoyang calmly turned to me and Li Zhisheng and asked, "Do you have any needles and thread?" 0

I shook my head. "We're all men here; how could we possibly carry needles and thread?" 0

Haoyang wasn't surprised by our lack of supplies. He decisively took off his jacket and shirt, tearing the white fabric into strips with his bare hands to bandage his leg. 0

His movements were swift and efficient, suggesting he was no stranger to such situations. After a moment, he finished wrapping his wound and noticed I was covered in blood, so he began to check my injuries. 0

Under the moonlight, I realized that many parts of my body were reflecting its glow. "Your injuries aren't too severe..." Haoyang observed as he examined my wounds. 0

I had several shards of glass and metal embedded in my arms and legs. Although they weren't deeply lodged, they were certainly painful. 0

"Just bear with it..." Haoyang said as he grabbed one of the metal fragments stuck in my arm and yanked it out. A wave of excruciating pain surged through me, causing me to cry out involuntarily. 0

"This is just the beginning... here's the second one..." He continued without regard for my cries, systematically pulling out the foreign objects from my arms and legs. He used the remaining fabric from his shirt to roughly bandage the larger wounds before finally finishing. 0

At this point, I was sweating profusely from the pain, feeling as if I had just undergone torture. 0

"What should we do now? There's not a soul around here. Forget about looking for that Vegetable Farmer; even going back is impossible..." Li Zhisheng sighed as he scanned the area. 0

"Then how about we call for help?" I suggested. "My phone broke earlier, and I haven't had a chance to buy a new one. Li Zhisheng, do you still have your phone?" 0

Li Zhisheng hurriedly searched for his phone after hearing that. After a moment, he pulled out his already damaged phone and said to me, "Mine is broken too. It seems that this time the master doesn't intend to let us go back." 0

Seeing this, I sighed and turned to look at Haoyang beside me, hoping he might have a solution. However, Haoyang completely ignored our conversation and was gazing into the distance. 0

"Haoyang, do you have any ideas?" I asked. 0

Without turning his head, he replied, "Actually, we are not in a dead end. Judging by the time, we are not far from my Liangmu Town. If we head in the right direction, we should be able to reach it in about an hour on foot." 0

"The key is whether you can find the direction," Li Zhisheng said. 0

"It's actually not that difficult. Look..." He pointed to a nearby stream. "If we follow this stream downwards, we will definitely find it. Villages and towns are generally built near water; without water, there can be no farming or drinking water, and people can't survive. So I deduce that following the stream will surely lead us in the right direction." 0

"Yeah, that makes some sense," I pondered. "Shouldn't we hurry up and set off now? It will be dawn in a few hours, but we are injured and deep in these wild mountains. If anything unexpected happens, we could find ourselves in an even more dangerous situation..." 0
