"Driver, take me to Jiang University." As soon as she finished speaking, she inadvertently looked up and saw the driver's right hand, which only had three fingers left.
Fortunately, the car unexpectedly collided, and Jiang Shiyan quickly seized the opportunity to pay and get out. "No need for change," she said, turning away hurriedly.

She pulled out her phone and realized she had accidentally dialed Yan Anting's voicemail. "I was in an accident; the driver seemed off."
Jiang Shiyan squinted at her surroundings and reported the name of the bus stop. "Stay there and don’t move; I’ll be right over." She obediently agreed.
At that moment, there weren't many people getting on or off at the bus stop, so she sat still on the bench.
Yan Anting arrived at the bus stop as quickly as possible and spotted Jiang Shiyan sitting on the bench, patiently holding her backpack.
Hearing some noise, Jiang Shiyan looked up. "Captain Yan, that driver—he..."
She pointed in confusion at the distance. "Where did the car go?"
Then she stood up and shook her head. "Captain Yan, could you please take me to the hospital? I think I might have a concussion."
As soon as she finished speaking, she uncontrollably walked toward Yan Anting.
When she woke up again, she found herself lying in a hospital room filled with a pungent smell of disinfectant. Zhu Zhu was beside her and immediately brightened upon seeing her awake.
Jiang Shiyan was about to call for someone when a sharp pain shot through her head.
"You were in a car accident and got drugged. Luckily, you cleverly called us from the Rock Team; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable."
Jiang Shiyan thought of something upon hearing this. "Sister Zhu Zhu, I think I encountered the murderer."
He then described the features of the killer's three fingers. Upon hearing this, Zhu Zhu left a few police officers disguised as medical staff and patients, and hurried out to report the clues.
The mask was removed from the face of the captured person, revealing that he was indeed the driver of the taxi Jiang Shiyan had taken during the day.
Zhu Zhu worriedly helped Jiang Shiyan up. "Are you okay?"
Jiang Shiyan shook his head, nervously looking at the cat Xiao Hei in his arms. "Xiao Hei might be hurt. I need to take it to the pet hospital for a check-up. It will be fine; don't worry."
After the killer was taken away, Zhu Zhu placed Xiao Hei into an airline crate. "I'm taking it to the pet hospital now. Are you hungry? Should I buy you some late-night snacks?"
Jiang Shiyan touched his stomach and nodded shyly. "That would be great, Sister Zhu Zhu."
Nurses and doctors came in to check Jiang Shiyan's condition. Seeing that he was mostly fine, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.
After Zhu Zhu took Xiao Hei to the pet hospital, she went to a nearby convenience store to buy some food but suddenly received a call from her colleague. "Sister Zhu Zhu, we arrested the wrong person."
Zhu Zhu was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
"This person's right hand doesn't have a severed finger; Jiang Shiyan is in danger."
Meanwhile, Jiang Shiyan couldn't sleep and decided to walk around in the corridor for some exercise. Suddenly, the elevator doors opened not far away, and a man stepped out.
Jiang Shiyan inadvertently locked eyes with him; there was a familiar yet fierce look in his gaze, and one of his hands casually revealed three fingers.
A chill ran down Jiang Shiyan's spine—this man was the driver from earlier; who was the person that had been taken away from the ward?
There was no time to think further when a nurse approached him. "What are you doing standing here?" As soon as she finished speaking, the man pulled out a kitchen knife and charged at them.
Just as he was about to strike, a gunshot rang out with a loud bang.
When she opened her eyes, she found the blade was less than 1 cm away from him. Yan Anting had shot the man in the shoulder and then immediately lunged at him, grappling with the assailant. Other police officers quickly arrived and soon apprehended the man who was about to go on a rampage in the hospital.
Yan Anting kicked the kitchen knife aside. "Are you okay?"
Jiang Shiyan's voice trembled, "Captain Yan, my legs are weak; I can't stand up."
"This time we didn't get it wrong; it was three fingers. I didn't expect that the two brothers were committing crimes together. They almost fooled us."
At that moment, Zhu Zhu appeared at the stairway, panting. "I just went down to buy food for Comrade Jiang. I'm sorry; it was my negligence."
Yan Anting coldly instructed Zhu Zhu to write a self-criticism and then bent down to pick up Jiang Shiyan.
Jiang Shiyan instinctively tried to struggle but was stopped by Yan Anting. "Don't move, okay?"
A few middle-aged men who seemed to hold significant status revealed themselves; they were officials interested in Jiang Shiyan's Animal Communication Ability and were willing to help him achieve his dream of opening a Private Zoo. The condition was that he would assist in communicating with Police Dogs regarding any special needs and help the official Forest Zoo create a popular attraction.
"But there are so many animals in the Forest Zoo, and I only know a few languages," Jiang Shiyan protested.
Director Li of the Forest Zoo smiled warmly, unfazed. "Can't you learn?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Shiyan no longer refused and successfully took over the soon-to-be-defunct Private Zoo.
