Possessed, also known as Possession. 0

When encountering such matters, one must seek the help of a master to resolve them. Yet, I took it lightly. It wasn't that I didn't believe in it; on the contrary, my ancestors were all masters. However, the lineage was broken in my generation, and I only understood a little of the surface. I thought that even if I encountered something unclean, I could handle it easily. Until one night when I saw my deceased father and realized how naive I had been. 0

My father stood by the bay window in the living room, inhaling deeply from the flowers and plants. His posture was strange, something no living person could do. My wife was so frightened that she couldn't speak. She clutched my hand tightly, her nails nearly digging into my flesh. "Let's go back to the bedroom," she urged. "As long as Dad doesn't notice us, we'll be fine," I whispered reassuringly in her ear. 0

I pulled her along, tiptoeing and holding my breath as we made our way to the bedroom. The distance from the living room to the bedroom was about twenty steps. The first half included five steps past the balcony and kitchen door, both of which had no cover. But the lights in the balcony and kitchen were off, shrouding them in darkness. As long as we were careful not to bump into anything, Dad shouldn't notice us. 0

The second half consisted of about ten steps through the living room; we just needed to watch out for the sofa. My wife cooperated well, and we navigated through without incident until we reached the side of the sofa. Just two or three more steps would take us to the bedroom door. 0

Suddenly, my wife tugged at my hand and mouthed silently, "The door is closed." I looked closely and felt a chill run down my spine. "What should we do?" she whispered anxiously. Taking a deep breath, I replied, "I'll open the door; you keep watch." 0

I slowly approached the door and grasped the handle. I tried my best to control how much I turned it, but it still emitted a faint sound. 0

My scalp felt like it was about to explode. 0
"Who?" Dad turned to look at us. 0
Her eyes shone unnaturally bright in the darkness, filled with resentment. 0
Then, bang—Dad collapsed. 0
Her body hit the floor with a dull thud. 0
"Dad..." 0
I hesitantly called out, trembling slightly. 0
There was no response. 0
Just as I hesitated whether to check on the situation, Dad suddenly lifted her head. 0
She stared at me with wide eyes, fixated. 0
In the next moment, she crawled towards us rapidly, using both hands and feet. 0
My wife screamed in fright and fell to the ground. 0
"Get inside!" I positioned myself in front of her. 0
My wife was so scared she couldn't speak, unable to move her legs. 0
I pushed her hard. 0
Finally, I managed to shove her inside. 0
At that moment, Dad had crawled to my feet. 0
She grabbed my ankle tightly. 0
I stumbled and fell to the ground. 0
My legs kicked wildly until I finally broke free from Dad's grip. 0
"Come in!" My wife reached out, shouting anxiously. 0
I scrambled desperately towards the door, using all my limbs to pull myself in. 0
I finally made it inside and slammed the door shut with all my strength. 0
Bang! Bang! Bang! 0
There was a violent knocking on the door outside. 0
"Open up! Hurry, open the door!" 0
Dad's voice was old and hoarse, like a knife scraping against glass—piercing and terrifying. 0
"What do we do? What do we do?" My wife was panicking, completely lost. 0
"How could this happen? How could this happen?" I trembled all over, my teeth chattering uncontrollably. 0

My dad passed away around 3 AM today. 0

When a person takes their last breath, they are actually in a state of suspended animation. At this moment, the Vital Spirit temporarily leaves the body and drifts outside. The process of gathering the soul involves replenishing the body with Yang Qi before the Vital Spirit returns. This process must not be witnessed by the living, nor should there be any sounds or bright lights. Otherwise, the Vital Spirit may be frightened and refuse to come back, resulting in becoming a wandering spirit, and the person would truly be dead. 0

My father was just in the process of gathering his soul. Not only did he hear sounds, but he also saw us, which caused the gathering to fail, leading to his actual death. But what was that terrifying scene just now? A hallucination? 0

Gradually, silence fell outside the door. After enduring until dawn, I finally dared to step out. I opened the bedroom door and glanced around. There was no sign of my father. I gently pushed open the door to the adjacent bedroom. My father lay flat on the bed, still in the same position we had arranged when preparing his remains. 0

There was no time to think further; I quickly called to have my father taken to the funeral home to handle the necessary arrangements. Next, we would wait for two days for the Memorial Service before cremation. 0

That night, I returned home utterly exhausted and collapsed into bed. Half-awake and half-asleep, I heard my wife calling me: "Ahua, can you come with me to the bathroom?" Having just gone through such an ordeal, we were both on edge. Reluctantly, I forced myself to get up. 0

I led her to the bathroom door and pushed it open. "You wait for me outside; don’t go anywhere." I released her hand and watched her go in before sitting down in the living room. Just then, a sudden knocking echoed from outside the door. 0

I jumped in surprise. "Who is it?" I called out bravely. The sound abruptly stopped. My heart raced in my chest. Slowly, I stood up and quietly moved to the door, pressing my ear against it. 0

It was just past three in the morning, and the outside was eerily quiet, not a sound to be heard. Just when I thought my overactive nerves were playing tricks on me, a sudden noise broke the silence—someone was banging on the door. 0

"Ah..." I screamed in fright and turned to run to the bathroom, yanking my wife along as we scrambled back to the bedroom. 0

"Bang!" I slammed the door shut behind us. Still feeling uneasy, I fumbled with my keys, trembling as I locked the door. 0

I pressed my ear against it, listening intently as the noise outside gradually faded away. Only then did I manage to catch my breath. 0

As I turned around, I nearly bumped into my wife. 0

"Ah..." I gasped and leaned against the door. "Honey... what are you doing? You scared me to death." I kept rubbing my chest to calm myself down. 0

But she didn’t respond at all. She stood there stiffly, her gaze fixed on the door. 0

"Honey... honey..." I called out again, but there was still no reaction. 0

"This is bad!" My heart sank as I recalled my father's strange behavior from yesterday and the banging just moments ago. Could she be possessed? 0

A chill ran from my feet straight to the top of my head. Without thinking too much, I cautiously reached out to take her hand. 0

"Honey, come on, let’s lie down in bed," I said, my voice shaking. 0

"Ahua... I want... to go to the bathroom," she suddenly replied. 0

Her voice sounded strange, as if it were playing at half speed. My hand trembled, and a wave of unease washed over me. 0

"Weren't you just there?" I stammered. 0

"Suddenly... I need... to go again." 0

There was danger outside; we absolutely couldn't go out. 0

I forced myself to suppress my fear as I led her around the bedroom, guiding her to the corner of the room. I lifted the lid of the footbath and pointed at it, saying, "This is a toilet. You can go ahead and pee." 0

"Oh," she replied mechanically, pulling down her sleep pants and squatting down to relieve herself. 0

Once she was done, I said, "Alright, let's go back to bed." 0

"Okay," she responded, like a puppet, allowing me to lead her back to the bed. 0

Not long after we lay down, she called out to me again, "Ahua... I can't hold it anymore." 0

"Just hang on a little longer; it will be dawn soon," I said, covering myself with the blanket and pretending to be asleep. 0

This time, she didn't call for me again. She got out of bed by herself and began wandering around the room. 0

I heard a thud, likely from her bumping into the wall. It sounded painful, but she seemed unfazed and continued moving about. 0

Thud! Another sound echoed through the room. 0

"What is she doing?" 0

"She's looking for an exit; she wants to get out!" 0

My heart raced, and my mind was in chaos. 0

"Oh God, I'm just an amateur who has read a bit about strange phenomena." 0

"I'm not a professional; please don't put us through this!" I silently prayed in my heart. 0
