"I just sneaked out of the house," she said gloomily, gesturing with her hands, "It's that way, I walked in that direction, went to an alley, and then I heard a very strange sound."
Recalling the scene just now, Daphne's tears started to fall again, she wiped them with her hand, and said in a sobbing voice, "I saw a very scary person, it was a man..."
Mrs. Gina quietly integrated the sizes of the two people next to her after finishing her own work with the man who had just come up. Now that the integration is complete, she softly said to Miller, "Please forgive me, I will take my leave first." Then she quietly retreated, leaving the second floor to the two of them.
Miller nodded and his gaze returned to Daphne's face. He bent down and used his right hand to wipe her tears, saying, "What's wrong with the man?"
"He has really long teeth..." Daphne looked at her brother and gestured with the index fingers of both hands, "It's like this long, really sharp, just like fangs."
Miller paused his hand that was wiping her tears on her face, and Daphne looked up, "Brother?"

Miller listened as she spoke, his face gradually darkening like ink.

Miller patted her back and his gaze fell on the lifeless model behind her, extremely cold, as if looking at some trash that had angered him.
In contrast, his voice was extremely gentle: "Listen to Flora, this kind of person cannot stay in my territory. Later, I will have someone go and catch him." Then during the day, he will be nailed to a cross and roasted to ashes with fire.
Daphne breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good..."
Because of this incident, Daphne no longer felt like playing outside, so she left Mrs. Gina's house and took a carriage back home.
She sat on her brother's lap, held in his arms. Her face was against his chest, and her skin turned red from the buttons and decorations on his coat rubbing against her.
"Brother, your clothes are so scratchy," she said in a muffled voice, sounding very disdainful.
Miller had no choice but to grab her shoulders and help her sit up. He slowly unbuttoned his own coat and then had her lie down on his inner lining.
The temperature of his body and her cheeks were only separated by a thin layer of clothing. Daphne felt a little embarrassed, but still obediently lay on his chest.
Being embraced by Miller, she felt that there was nothing in the world that could make her afraid. Even the man she had seen in the alley just now didn't seem so terrifying when she thought back on it.
"By the way, big brother," Daphne remembered again, "Where is Lucia? I feel like I haven't seen her at all."
Miller hooked her cheek with his finger and said calmly, "She took the first carriage back with your sample clothes. You were preoccupied just now, so you didn't see her."
So that's how it is? Daphne didn't think much about it and accepted her brother's explanation.
The carriage raced all the way, and Daphne was so comfortable in Miller's arms that she fell asleep without realizing it, only to be woken up by him when the carriage arrived.
"Little lazy pig, we're home," he pinched his sister's ear and then leaned down to lightly bite her cheek with his teeth.
The bite was not light at all. Miller intentionally showed some fangs, leaving four very obvious tooth marks on Daphne's face.
Got poked by something sharp again, Daphne shuddered and opened her eyes, looking at her brother with a mix of confusion and fear.
"Brother... um?" Daphne covered her face, her eyes turning red, and hesitantly asked, "Are we... home?"
"Yes, we're home. Does Flora want me to carry her back?" Miller gently strokes the back of her head.
Daphne, softened by his skilled touch on her neck, gradually forgets what just happened. She climbs down from her brother's lap, straightens her clothes, and says, "It's okay, brother. Let's go back quickly and have dinner and sleep."
The horizon has already turned fish-belly white, with layers of clouds stacked up, not very obvious.
Daphne got out of the car holding her brother's hand, just as the sun rose from the horizon, revealing a bright arc on the other side of the mountain, and the clouds began to move.
"Sister," she turned her head and looked at the beautiful scenery with Miller, "Look, it's sunrise."
"Very beautiful," Miller nodded in agreement, then stopped Daphne from looking by putting his arm around her shoulder, "But we should go back, or else the sun will take you away."
Daphne finally smiled and clung to Miller, walking back with him.
