Just as Li Niannian was feeling utterly embarrassed, the waiter brought out the dishes, relieving her from further teasing.
However, the Manager seemed to have an issue. He frowned slightly as he looked at the bowl filled with Fresh Oyster Soup. Li Niannian suddenly understood; it turned out the Manager was picky!
Immediately, she acted like an eager servant trying to impress, displaying her enthusiastic spirit. She snatched his bowl and quickly picked out the oysters, then offered him a selection of other delicacies from her own bowl as if presenting treasures, before respectfully pushing his bowl back in front of him.
"Manager, enjoy your meal!" she said, her hands clasped in front of her and her head slightly bowed.
The Manager appeared satisfied with her performance and nodded slightly. "You do have some use after all," he remarked, clearly referring to her menial tasks.
Perhaps feeling a sense of servitude, Li Niannian felt an overwhelming pride at receiving praise from her superior. A blush crept onto her cheeks as she shyly scratched her head, her fingers running through her hair. "Oh no, my greatest strength is that I’m not picky."
Unbeknownst to her, her words inadvertently struck a nerve with the Manager.
Li Niannian had an average appearance and was naturally timid; worst of all, her innate cluelessness made it difficult for her to gauge the appropriateness of her comments.
She had no idea how much the Manager wanted to reprimand her when she smiled foolishly. Xu Yuandao's eyes flashed with displeasure as he let out a soft huff.
Li Niannian understood well that sometimes misfortune was not something one could blame on the government.
" Li Niannian, what is this report? Even a primary school student could do better than this mess. Look, the data here is wrong!" Xu Yuandao scowled, jabbing his finger at the report with an expression full of anger.
She truly was just an incredibly insignificant person; did the Manager really need to magnify her mistakes under a microscope to scold her? Li Niannian lowered her head, trembling slightly like a child who had done something wrong.

"Uh... President, this... isn't really appropriate," Li Niannian said awkwardly, hesitation evident on her face as her fingers nervously tapped on the desk.
"Do you dare defy orders?!" Xiao Xian raised her voice slightly since there were only a few people in the office. "Have you forgotten our Support Association's mission?"

“.........” Li Niannian looked at the woman who called herself the "President of the Xu Yuandao Support Association," and for a moment, she felt utterly drained. She leaned back in her chair, her gaze vacant.
