"Oh."
Yun Daoyun replied softly, then slowly reached into his pocket, rummaging around without a care in the world, completely disregarding Wan Qiu's hunger.
Wan Qiu stared at Yun Daoyun with wide eyes, not blinking at all. However, as he continued to dig around, he surprisingly pulled out a handkerchief.
Wan Qiu was momentarily dumbfounded, her eyes widening in disbelief. She thought to herself: Why is it neither food nor silver? Doesn't his Yin Yang Universe Bag contain everything? Talismans, the Demon-Exposing Mirror, the Demon Lock Tower—yesterday, he even pulled out a Sand Pot from his pocket and lay by the river soaking up the sun, forcing her to catch fish for dinner.
Yun Daoyun bent down to wipe his boots and noticed Wan Qiu glaring at him with fierce eyes. He smiled knowingly, a hint of teasing in his expression, and boldly offered her the handkerchief, shaking it slightly as he said, "Want to help me wipe? Sure, go ahead, but make sure to do a good job."
With that, he casually placed his foot on Wan Qiu's thigh in a rather provoking manner.
Wan Qiu smiled sweetly, her face instantly transforming into a charming expression. Her delicate little hands playfully kneaded Yun Daoyun's calf, her fingers pinching gently and occasionally applying more pressure. Her voice was sweet and soft: "Yun Daoyun, I'm hungry. Really hungry. How about—"
As she spoke, her fingers traveled up the man's thigh, teasing him with each touch while her eyes sparkled with mischief. "How about you let me eat you?"
The midday sun shone brightly overhead, casting a silvery glow over Yun Daoyun as if he were enveloped in shimmering light, radiating an unusual brilliance.
Yun Daoyun sat there motionless, quietly watching Wan Qiu. He appeared almost dazed, yet the faint smile at the corner of his mouth suggested that he was not so easily fooled.
Wan Qiu laughed joyfully: "Haha! Got you this time! My the Fox Clan's Charm Technique is no joke."
Feeling triumphant, Yun Daoyun stood up, ready to take advantage of the moment and slip away, convinced that this time he would surely escape.
However, just after taking a couple of steps, her sleeve was suddenly tugged by a hand.
Yun Daoyun chuckled softly, his voice laced with playful teasing. "I knew this little fox had ulterior motives towards me. Since you’re so infatuated, how about this? I’ll reluctantly let you steal a kiss first."
As he spoke, he leaned in closer, presenting his profile, which was strikingly handsome. A faint smile danced across his brows, flowing down to his elegantly shaped nose and finally resting on his rosy lips—an utterly captivating sight.
Wan Qiu stared at his profile, feeling an involuntary gulp in her throat. She thought to herself: Charm Technique! This is the true essence of Charm Technique! Her five hundred years of cultivation had truly been in vain.
"What's wrong? Afraid to kiss?" Yun Daoyun smiled seductively, his phoenix eyes slanting mischievously, exuding an air of flirtation and challenge.
"You really have no sense of propriety for a monster hunter."
Wan Qiu turned her head away awkwardly, her gaze landing on a patch of golden sunlight that danced playfully, hinting at the rolling waves beneath it.
Since the moment she cultivated her physical form, it was the first time she encountered such… um, flamboyant man. He appeared like a refined sword immortal but was as frivolous as a Fox demon. One smile could captivate a nation; another could charm an entire city; three smiles would steal away your very soul.
Yun Daoyun laughed joyfully, the corners of his mouth curling up. "It’s fine if I’m not serious, but if you’re not serious either, then we might be in trouble."
Wan Qiu found herself at a loss for words, stammering for a moment before exclaiming, "I’m hungry! I want to eat something!" She stamped her foot in frustration.
Yun Daoyun lazily raised an eyebrow, wearing an expression of indifference. "There’s nothing—no food and no money."
"Nothing? Then I quit! I’m going back to Phoenix Mountain!"
Wan Qiu stomped away in a huff, her steps quick and hurried. Just as she thought she had escaped far enough, a flash of white appeared before her. Yun Daoyun stood there with a smile, arms crossed, looking at her with an expression that suggested he had anticipated her reaction all along.
"Aren't you hungry? How can you run so fast?" Yun Daoyun said with a teasing tone, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"You..." Wan Qiu's face flushed with anger. She pointed her finger at Yun Daoyun and unleashed a burst of sword energy, the sharp light slicing through the air.
Yun Daoyun swiftly dodged to the side like a flash of white lightning, his robes billowing in the wind, still wearing a calm smile. "How could I forget? You little fox know some tricks. I need to think of a way to deal with you!"
With that, he leisurely reached into his robe, rummaging around.
