The Court is said to be the core of the Ancient Immortal Realm, where countless elites from the Immortal World gathered and played a crucial role. It was akin to the central hub of the entire Ancient Immortal Realm, but now all of that has become a thing of the past.
Looking at the Door Knocker in his hand, Zuo Dao couldn't help but sigh. He had confirmed that this pair of objects was definitely from another fragment. According to the Four Dragon Kings' method, as long as he broke through the domain's seal, guided by this Door Knocker, they would be able to reach another realm.
However, due to the faint connection from the other side, merely having this Door Knocker was somewhat insufficient. Nevertheless, for Young Master Zuo, it was already enough.
As his cultivation deepened, some memories in his mind became increasingly clear. He didn't know why these memories had entered his mind; it was likely that someone had secretly manipulated things. However, up until now, they had not posed any threat to him; instead, they provided him with considerable convenience.
To be honest, if it weren't for these memories, Zuo Dao believed he would have taken many detours on his own.
Dao Nan and Lu Chunyang were both renowned figures even in ancient times. The fact that his calamity could attract these two elders left Zuo Dao puzzled; ultimately, he could only attribute it to that mysterious puppet master behind it all.
With this pair of Door Knockers in hand, Zuo Dao had to reconsider his dealings with the Four Dragon Kings. Although this transaction posed no harm to him, he felt a bit uncomfortable knowing that the other party still held reservations about such cooperation. However, upon reflecting on the vast amount of information they had provided, he felt somewhat indifferent.
These resources not only made his current plan safer but also enhanced the strength of the Heterodox group. Compared to leaving this domain, Zuo Dao preferred to strengthen the Heterodox's own power. Only by becoming stronger could he act without feeling constrained.
Meanwhile, within Aolong Palace in Mo Sea, the four Star Sea Dragon Kings were discussing the same matter. However, there were a few unfamiliar cultivators present who wore ordinary clothing but whose appearances were hard to discern.
"Yu, are you sure that young man you found is the key figure in this incident?" asked one of the unfamiliar cultivators.
Although these cultivators appeared ordinary at first glance, a closer look revealed that each one resembled an ordinary person. If it weren't for the occasional aura emanating from them, one would hardly suspect they were practitioners.
"Uncle Bai, do you not trust us?" Ao Yu, as one of the Four-Star Sea Dragon Kings known as "Yu," did not feel any discomfort at being addressed so. After all, those standing before them were indeed the stabilizing force and ultimate means of the Four Great Star Seas.
"It's not that I don't trust you; it's just that this matter is too significant for us not to be cautious. However, we haven't come here in vain; thinking about how Gu Qianchou and his old cronies were actually outsmarted by a cultivator brings me joy!" Aobai was the elder brother of the previous Mo Yunhai Dragon King and Ao Yu's uncle.
"Now that we are here, I'm sure others have sensed it too. It's best if we proceed quickly with this matter. If it truly succeeds, it would be a great boon for our Dragon Palace," said another cultivator named Pride of a Thousand Autumns.
Aside from Ao Yu and the other Four-Star Sea Dragon Kings present, the remaining six were outstanding figures from the previous generation. They were on par with Gu Qianchou and were trapped in the Great Celestial Domain as Half-Step Xuanxians.
They usually resided at the edge of the Four Great Star Seas, tirelessly working to expand the territory of the Four Star Sea while continuously improving their own cultivation. They were also stirred by the calamity brought by the Two Women, prompting many to return to the Dragon Palace. However, as they got closer to the land of the Five Continents, the suppression of the Dao became increasingly evident, which is why they remained within the Dragon Palace, relying on the ancient Great Formation to resist it.
In contrast to the cultivators in the Dragon Palace, those in the Five Continents found themselves in a rather miserable situation. Previously, they had united to challenge the Four Star Sea, believing that their combined strength could force it to yield. To their surprise, the Four Star Sea displayed an unexpectedly strong resistance.
This left them feeling deeply wounded; after all, they prided themselves on being legitimate representatives of the Ancient Immortal Realm. They never expected to be rebuffed by a few Dragon Kings. Yet, given the circumstances, they had no choice but to relent.
However, this only intensified their belief that what was happening at the Transcendence Location was of utmost importance. The area where the Two Women faced their tribulation had already been dubbed "Transcendence Location" by cultivators.
Due to the Transcend Tribulation of the Two Women, that particular star sea had undergone a transformation. Some cultivators secretly infiltrated and discovered that cultivating there yielded results hundreds of times greater than usual. In other words, if one would typically require a thousand years to achieve a breakthrough in their Realm, it could be accomplished in just One Hundred Years within that star sea.
This was merely what ordinary cultivators observed. Those who reached the Half-Step Xuanxian Realm understood that the Dao in that star sea had become relatively weaker for some reason compared to other places. This meant that the chances of "ascending" in that star sea were significantly higher.
However, the Four-Star Sea Dragon King had dispatched heavy troops to guard it. If someone infiltrated and stayed for a short time, then the Dragon King might turn a blind eye. The star sea also understood that excess could be detrimental; however, if one attempted to undergo Transcend Tribulation in that star sea, they would be reduced to ashes before even facing their tribulation.
The Transcendence Location fell within the domain of Cloud Mourning Sea, and the Four Great Star Seas held absolute dominion over it. Even cultivators from the Five Continents could not make any significant moves there. There were instances where someone tried to pressure others with righteousness; however, that faction was swiftly erased from the Great Celestial Domain by the Four Great Star Seas.
The justification was quite dramatic; given that this faction threatened the balance of the Great Celestial Domain, for the sake of righteousness, the Four Seas had no choice but to act. A series of iron-fisted actions silenced all dissent within the Great Celestial Domain. The Four Star Sea was not unyielding either; as long as one did not attempt Transcendence at the Transcendence Location, moderate cultivation was still permitted. However, how many people were allowed entry and what price they had to pay for it was determined by them.
Zuo Dao was indifferent to all this; his primary focus was on a pair of Door Knockers. Perhaps due to the destruction of South Gate or perhaps because of their age, these Door Knockers emanated a very faint aura. This made it extremely difficult for him to pinpoint his target's location. Zuo Dao did not want to risk being banished into emptiness later on, so he needed to resolve this issue.
These Door Knockers were removed from South Gate and had an inexplicable connection with it. Although South Gate had been destroyed, it was not annihilated. As a landmark structure of his courtyard, the materials used to construct South Gate were undoubtedly special.
Now that the connection between these Door Knockers and South Gate had weakened, Zuo Dao could only find ways to strengthen this pair of Door Knockers. If he could access South Gate directly, he wouldn't have to go through such trouble now.
However, figuring out how to amplify this connection left him perplexed. Although he was skilled in alchemy, weaponry, and formations as an immortal master, he had never encountered such a situation before.
South Gate functioned like a base station while these Door Knockers acted as receivers. Now, due to issues with the base station itself, he could only enhance the power of his receiver.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts, Zuo Dao set down the Door Knocker and decided to retreat. He understood well the principle that haste makes waste. Perhaps taking a break from his current endeavors would lead to unexpected surprises.
At this moment, the Nine Monoliths were enveloped in silence. The benefits brought by the calamity were extraordinary. In just a few short days, the number of individuals advancing in Realm surged dramatically. This was something he had anticipated, yet it still exceeded his expectations.
Huang Xishi and Feng Miaomiao lay on the bed, appearing almost like statues if not for the slight rise and fall of their chests and their stunningly beautiful faces resembling blooming flowers.
Zuo Dao gently held their delicate hands, feeling their skin as moist as jade. He felt more heartache and urgency than anyone else. This was not the state he wished to see; from the warmth of their hands, he could sense their heartbeats—steady as always, but now accompanied by an unusual calmness.
Tai Shu Yun and Zhao Yanwu encountered each other outside the door; they had come to visit the two women as well. However, upon discovering Zuo Dao inside, they both paused in their tracks.
Inside, Zuo Dao held the hands of the two women, while outside, the two women exchanged silent glances.
A breeze stirred, lifting a few fallen leaves from the ground and sending them drifting gracefully into the distance.
"Come in!" Zuo Dao's gentle voice called from within.
"Daozi, you came to see your two sisters too," Zhao Yanwu asked after entering the room.
"Yes, I've been so busy lately that I haven't visited much," Zuo Dao replied as he stood up to make space for them.
"Don't worry; they're fine," Tai Shu Yun said, her face flushing slightly at her own words.
"I appreciate your help during this time," Zuo Dao said, looking at Tai Shu Yun and Zhao Yanwu. These four women were exceptional among people; each one was a remarkable beauty, yet they all shared a complicated connection with him due to the same reason.
Though unspoken, it was clear that there were feelings among them. Sometimes Zuo Dao felt selfish, focusing solely on his own matters while neglecting the feelings of the ladies.
The tenderness he displayed was something they had never experienced before, leaving the two women momentarily at a loss.
"They are all our good sisters, how could it be a bother? Are you worried about them?" Zhao Yanwu stepped forward and gently took Zuo Dao's hand, asking softly.
"Yes and no." Zuo Dao lightly patted Zhao Yanwu's hand in comfort. "This is a normal reaction after Nirvana; I just haven't figured out why they lost all their cultivation. We can only wait for them to wake up. As long as they are fine, I can help them regain their cultivation."
Tai Shu Yun looked at Zuo Dao holding Zhao Yanwu's hand and felt a bit lost, but soon her expression changed to surprise as Zuo Dao also took her hand.
"As long as you all are well, everything will be fine." With that, Zuo Dao held the hands of the two women and gazed at Huang Xishi and Feng Miaomiao, who were peacefully asleep on the bed. "Only when you are well will I be better."
It was a warm day, and Zuo Dao spent time with the Four Beauties in the house, laughing and chatting about Fengyue. For a moment, they forgot the storms of this world, though a voice in his heart kept reminding him.
The source of motivation came from pressure; the more he moved forward, the heavier the pressure felt on him. What he thought he had seen clearly began to blur again. After going in circles, he found himself back where he started.
The journey to the courtyard had become a certainty, and the deal with the Dragon King was underway. Although he didn't know how the Dragon King could accurately find the destination at the moment of breaking through the Dao, he had to prepare everything.
Breaking through this domain's Dao blockade was not something an ordinary tribulation could accomplish. Now that he had ample resources at hand, he could have every disciple in Heterodox cultivate to the peak of this domain before collectively transcending tribulation.
Although there were significant risks involved, it was still a method worth considering. If he had to choose between Outer Sect Disciples and Yan Zhen's group, he would lean towards the former. This wasn't favoritism; if a choice had to be made, he absolutely wouldn't let Yan Zhen and others take such risks.
However, these thoughts could only remain in his heart; they must never be spoken aloud. Between gains and losses, all he wanted was to have a clear conscience.
The arrangements for the Peak of the God of Combat were nearing completion. He took some time to check on things outside and found that several city lords had not acted against him; they were doing even better in their responsibilities. This made him feel that his relationship with the five city lords had progressed further.
Since that webpage incident, the Four Seas Star Dragon King had not appeared again, but what he promised Zuo Dao continued to arrive without fail.
Because of this, Zuo Dao discovered the wealth of the Four Great Star Seas. Although some items weren't particularly precious, their quantity was staggering. If it weren't for the Four Dragon Kings possessing this treasure trove of star seas, Zuo Dao believed they wouldn't be able to produce so many items.
Some herbs and materials were clearly freshly harvested. Although he was curious about exploring the star sea further, he ultimately decided against it. He didn't want to attract any unnecessary trouble.
Everyone was preparing for the upcoming operation. Within the Nine Monoliths, Zuo Dao had calmly informed everyone. The disciples of Heterodox were not overly excited, partly due to Tang Fengyue's training and partly because of their complete trust in Zuo Dao.
This made Zuo Dao feel the weight of responsibility pressing down on him.
The Transcend Tribulation was full of uncertainties; even Zuo Dao himself could not precisely calculate every detail under such circumstances. Moreover, due to the large scale of this Transcend Tribulation, he could not guarantee that he could pay attention to every Heterodox Cultivator.
However, none of the disciples expressed dissatisfaction about this. In their words, the Transcend Tribulation was a personal matter, so it was no wonder it fell upon their leader. Furthermore, Zuo Dao had invested a significant amount of resources in them; if they couldn't overcome this tribulation, it would be better to perish in the process.
Their words made Zuo Dao feel a twinge of guilt, but he quickly pushed those thoughts aside. For the sake of these Outer Sect Disciples and their voices, he had to ensure that this operation was as perfect as possible.
Research on the Door Knocker had also made breakthrough progress, largely thanks to memories from his past life.
By combining the principles of formations and artifacts, Zuo Dao finally solved this problem. He decomposed the Door Knocker into hundreds of pieces, a process that took him a considerable amount of time.
The Ancient Immortal Realm truly was all-powerful; however, a pair of Door Knockers had integrated spatial principles. Originally just a few inches large, after he removed the spatial constraints, they expanded to dozens of feet in size. Zuo Dao realized this was the true form of the Door Knocker, which hinted at how grand the South Gate must be.
At the same time, this also saved him time; each segment of the Door Knocker was refined into a spear and distributed to every Outer Sect Disciple for them to undergo tempering.
Additionally, a brand new formation was handed over to Tang Fengyue for them to familiarize themselves with.
Moreover, Zuo Dao discovered an inner core from a Star Beast among the materials sent to him. This inner core belonged to a unique Star Beast from the starry seas—the Thunder Beast. This inner core had the ability to absorb and store lightning power. Although its effectiveness was not exceptional, under Young Master Zuo's skilled hands, it transformed into small thunder orbs, becoming another piece of standard equipment for Heterodox.
The Thunder Beast's hide was also used to craft lightning avoidance talismans that quickly found their way into everyone's pockets.
Due to Zuo Dao's high demand for Thunder Beasts, it caught the attention of the Dragon Kings. The Thunder Beast was merely an average Star Beast in the starry seas. Although both its inner core and hide had some lightning resistance and storage capabilities, those effects seemed trivial in their eyes. Aside from lightning-affiliated Cultivators occasionally using them, other Cultivators merely regarded them as decorative items.
The Dragon Kings had even met with Zuo Dao again regarding this matter, trying to indirectly inquire about results. However, Young Master Zuo did not reveal anything concrete and spoke ambiguously instead. He even presented some trinkets made from Thunder Beast inner cores and garments crafted from their hides to distract them.
The Dragon King could only give up on further inquiries with such an impractical approach as Zuo Dao.
Everything was proceeding as Zuo Dao had envisioned. With an abundance of cultivation resources, every member of the Heterodox was undergoing tremendous changes.
If the Immortal Emperor had previously been an untouchable figure in the Great Celestial Domain, now Zuo Dao was on the verge of mass production.
Due to prior agreements, the Four Star Sea was wholeheartedly supporting Zuo Dao, ready to provide whatever he needed. Although the quantity Zuo Dao required was immense, it still fell within the Four Star Sea's capacity. The Four Star Sea was absolutely willing to cooperate unconditionally for this opportunity.
Another reason was that they believed the resources Zuo Dao needed could yield a few Immortal Emperors, which they considered quite satisfactory. However, they were unaware that the same resources in Zuo Dao's hands could produce results exceeding two hundred percent or even more.
Watching his disciples rapidly advance in their cultivation, Zuo Dao finally felt that this transaction was not a loss. If the Four-Star Sea Dragon King knew his thoughts, he might be so furious that he would spit blood.
Any cultivator would know the difference in weight between a few Immortal Emperors and hundreds of them. If they realized that Zuo Dao had the means to mass-produce Immortal Emperors, it was likely that the Four-Star Sea Dragon King would even consider binding Zuo Dao to his side.
Within the Nine Monoliths, there existed a complete system of its own. The Five Elements Peak and the Four Pillars of the Four Symbols allowed Heterodox cultivators to save a lot of time in comprehending the Dao. Aside from the absence of calamities, everything else was similar to the outside world.
If previously Heterodox cultivators were like human bombs, after this period of accumulation, they had transformed into human nuclear bombs. With the assistance of Nine Turns Profound Art, Heterodox cultivators became taboo existences.
Everything was ready; Zuo Dao awaited Yan Zhen's return. Once his senior brother came back, he would lead the Heterodox disciples into another world.
