The Beast Body was retracted back into the depths, and the two women found themselves bathed in an endless sea of Thunderfire Lightning.
The Dragon Ball shrank to a size of several miles, unable to continue any further. Yet, no one dared to underestimate its power.
With a Charming Smile.
Under that smile, the vast starry sea lost all its colors, and even the Dragon Ball seemed to dim.
A smile that could sway the seas.
The raging lightning appeared so pale, like a mere joke in existence.
Calamity.
The Transcendence Location fell into an endless silence, everything frozen in place.
A Profound Character emerged within the starry sea, each stroke outlining the true meaning of the Great Dao.
Tribulation.
Only a single word, yet Zuo Dao recognized that this character "Tribulation" was written in the script from the Primordial era. It contained boundless depth of meaning.
Since the advent of written language, every character has been imbued with significance; each one represents an idea, each one contains a thread of the Dao.
From Primordial times to ancient eras and then to Recent Antiquity, spanning countless billions of years. Generations of transmission have caused many characters to drift away from their original meanings at the time of their creation.
However, it was universally acknowledged that every word of the Primordial held immense power, capable of suppressing an entire realm.
The character "Calamity" hovered above the heads of the Two Women, emanating boundless will. A heavy, ancient aura descended, and a Primordial consciousness suppressed the Two Women.
The character "Calamity" pressed down slowly with an oppressive force.
At the moment the character "Calamity" appeared, the eleven Mysterious Monks watching nearly lost their composure and fell from the sea of stars. Yet each of these eleven was no ordinary individual; after a momentary daze, they cautiously concealed their presence even more.
Huang Xishi and Feng Miaomiao felt utterly powerless, their minds sinking into a state of weakness.
Calamity Power—true Calamity Power—manifested as two Fifth Calamity Dragons expelled their dragon pearls, transforming into an ancient character for "Calamity." This was a comprehensive strangulation, meant to plunge the Two Women into a place of eternal despair.
Taking advantage of this moment, the dragon pearls smashed down towards them.
Before the enormous dragon pearls, the Two Women were like ants.
The origins of the Vermilion Bird and the Phoenix are lost to time. Some claim they existed since the dawn of creation; others say they were created by Primordial Great Powers; still others believe they emerged from a flicker of Yang fire during the chaos that birthed Yin and Yang.
Regardless of their origins, all understood the astonishing history of these two beasts.
This was the greatest crisis of this calamity. After previous methods proved ineffective, the two Tribulation Dragons merged into one character for "Calamity."
There was no escape from this disaster; with their Source imprisoned, the Two Women could only watch helplessly as the dragon pearls crashed down upon them.
Is this how it ends?
Two Women had only one thought at that moment.
No, I haven't shown my most beautiful smile to Zuo Dao. There are still many things I haven't said to Zuo Dao. I can't just die like this.
What if it's a calamity? What if it's an endless cycle of suffering? No one can tear me apart from Zuo Dao, not even "calamity."
A fierce determination flashed in Two Women's eyes.
First came Huang Xishi, followed by Feng Miaomiao. Suddenly, an unnamed fierce flame erupted from within Two Women.
The Fire of Nirvana.
At the brink of life and death, the Fire of Nirvana burst forth from Two Women. She would not make this decision until the very last moment.
Each Nirvana is a rebirth, a Reincarnation. Once the Nirvana Fire emerged, all the powers within Two Women were restored to their original state.
However, at this moment, both Two Women chose the same course of action; all their power transformed into a vast mental force, tightly wrapping around their memories, all memories related to Zuo Dao.
They were going to be reborn in the Fire of Nirvana.
Calamity Power is a forbidden force, and similarly, Nirvana Fire is also a forbidden power. The two forces collided in the sea of stars, collapsing half of the starry sky and annihilating a portion of the starry ocean.
Under the influence of this force, at least one-tenth of the Cloud Mourning Sea was affected, including the Peak of the God of Combat. Just as this force was about to invade the God of Battle, it was intercepted by another mysterious power. Zuo Dao distinctly sensed a "divine power" emanating from this force.
Every Nirvana is a new beginning, perfectly preserving previous powers while starting anew as another self.
The two women could not let go of Zuo Dao, pouring all their strength into preserving the memories associated with him during Nirvana.
Although this outcome could be seen as perfect, it also had its imperfections. The two women focused all their power on saving those memories, and after Nirvana, they would find themselves starting from scratch.
Yet, the two women had no regrets; they only wished to spend more time with Zuo Dao, even if just a little! What did it matter if they lost their powers? As long as they could be with the ones they loved for a bit longer, that was enough.
In the flames, the two women transformed into a baby-sized Fire Egg. The Calamity Power suddenly lost its target.
This was rebirth; it was about letting go of the past. The taboo of Nirvana lay in its ability to transcend the limits of time. At that moment, Huang Xishi and Feng Miaomiao were no longer the Transcend Tribulation versions of themselves.
The calamity that had lost its target began to fade away slowly; it was an unsolvable situation. The Supreme Catastrophe of the Nine-Five had grown beyond what the two women could bear, yet their Nirvana Fire remained unaffected by the calamity.
A grand disaster vanished in this bizarre scenario.
This was not the best outcome, but it was not the worst either. Zuo Dao felt fortunate; he recognized this as Nirvana but failed to see all that the two women had done for him.
The starry sea returned to its previous calm, but then an unexpected event occurred.
“No!”
Several angry roars erupted from those whom Zuo Dao had asked Yan Zhen to keep an eye on.
Among the dozen figures, several rushed forward without uttering a word and attacked the Fire Egg formed by the two women.
“Get lost.”
Yan Zhen had been keeping a close watch on them and rushed out at the first opportunity, positioning himself in front of the two Fire Eggs, executing a Sword Slash.
This strike simultaneously targeted the weak points of several incoming attacks.
Though the attackers were furious, they were taken aback by Yan Zhen's sudden emergence from thin air.
They could tell that Yan Zhen had not teleported nor used any magical artifact to appear; he had simply been hiding nearby, undetected even by their Realm.
"Die."
A particularly ugly and short young man suddenly spoke up. He made some movement, but Yan Zhen clearly sensed the impending danger. However, with the Two Women behind him, he could not afford to evade.
The opponent's attack was vicious; although it was aimed at him, the chosen angle was so lethal that there was no way to dodge. Unless he chose to disregard his own safety and let the attack hit the Two Women instead.
Gu Qianchou felt a deep hatred in his heart. He couldn't believe that such a rare opportunity, which had taken countless millennia to arise, was slipping away just like that. His anger intensified upon seeing Yan Zhen's heroic figure.
Abandoned by his parents at birth due to his appearance, he had endured countless scorn from others. Later, after mistakenly consuming a strange fruit that stunted his growth, he embarked on a path of cultivation. Throughout this journey, he faced endless disdain because of his looks.
After achieving success in his training, he killed everyone who dared to mock him. Because of his own circumstances, he harbored an intense hatred for some of the more imposing male cultivators.
Gu Qianchou, the Killer of Thousands.
He spent thousands of years immersed in slaughter, which earned him a formidable reputation in the Great Celestial Domain. However, after reaching the realm of Immortal King, he suddenly vanished without a trace. Now, unexpectedly, he had reappeared.
Except for those who emerged alongside him, very few in the Great Celestial Domain would still remember him. His disappearance had lasted far too long—an astonishing five hundred thousand years.
The strike was none other than his infamous "Lonely Thousand Sorrows." It was said to have been painstakingly forged using countless vengeful spirits, and while it might not be considered a divine technique, its lethality was undeniably terrifying.
Faced with Gu Qianchou's "Lonely Thousand Sorrows," Yan Zhen responded with a simple Sword Slash. The move was unremarkable, merely infused with a bit more power.
"Heart."
Gu Qianchou was eager to watch Yan Zhen struggle and plead for mercy under the weight of his "Lonely Thousand Sorrows," hoping it would ease his earlier frustrations. Suddenly, an alarm rang out.
Before he could react, another figure burst forth from the void, charging straight at him.
As the newcomer rushed in, they had already launched an attack.
He felt a flash of darkness before a point of light emerged from the shadows.
Without thinking, he swung his hand and struck out. Though he relished in slaughter, he still preferred to maintain some decorum. The newcomer clearly intended to take his life.
With a cold snort in his heart, he unconsciously added more force to his strike. He was confident that this blow would make the opponent feel his overwhelming strength. In the face of such power, all other tactics were rendered unnecessary.
Innocent was the second to emerge, launching an attack with an Inkstone and a poetic brush.
Both were swift; Innocent moved quickly, and Gu Qianchou was no slouch either. He intercepted Innocent's attack immediately. Although he suffered no injuries, his heart burned with anger.
"Who are you?"
Gu Qianchou glared at the Cultivator attacking him.
"Kill you."
After the failed strike, both sides paused. Innocent refrained from attacking because all he needed to do was block the opponent, while Gu Qianchou stopped due to suspicion.
Yan Zhen and Innocent appeared as if by magic right under their noses; if they stepped outside, many would surely not believe it.
Previously, Yan Zhen's formidable presence had already ignited a murderous rage within him. Upon seeing Innocent, who was more beautiful than any woman, an inexplicable desire surged within him. He could hardly resist the urge to leap onto the other person right then and there.
Innocent shivered under Gu Qianchou's gaze, breaking out in goosebumps. He realized that this Cultivator before him was utterly abnormal.
"I never expected the Killer of Thousands, Gu Qianchou, to fail consecutively." A sharp voice rang out as a young Cultivator stepped forward, fanning himself with a folding fan, dressed in a floral robe. If it weren't for the Adam's apple visible on his neck, one might mistake him for a woman.
Innocent cursed his luck inwardly. Why did every newcomer seem more twisted than the last?
"Let's kill them all; they have ruined our plans. I will extract their souls and throw them into the infernal flames to burn for a thousand years." A third Cultivator appeared on the scene, radiating malice in his gaze.
