If Zuo Dao didn't know where he was, he wouldn't have believed that the ground he was standing on was the Celestial Realm. It took them nearly a year to prepare this time, so they only started this reverse "transcendence plan" after everything was complete. It's just that reality and imagination seem to be slightly different. Looking at the endless mountains in the distance and the fragments of gravel under his feet, if it weren't for the constant flow of Celestial Aura in the air reminding him, he would not have believed that he had arrived at the Celestial Realm. Zuo Dao’s starting point is very high, but everything is based on the inheritance of Celestial Beings, but the way he accepted the inheritance is rather special, so some of the information is not very complete. Just like now, he is completely dark under the lamp. He has no idea where he is in the Celestial Realm. At the time of Star Domain, because of the existence of Wudao Order, the chasm in his eyes could find a way out. But now Wudao Order has completely become a decoration in Celestial Realm. Apart from a symbolic meaning, it seems to have no other use. Now it was his turn to start to worry. This time too many resources were used, which made him a little hurt Essence. Now that his pockets are flat, he feels very lacking in confidence. The current situation reminded him of the time in his previous life when he went alone to a strange city to work hard. At a glance, there are nothing but mountains. It’s a bit difficult to even choose a direction. The most important thing seems to be that this area is completely deserted, not even a living thing can be seen, let alone people. Zuo Dao I lowered my head and thought deeply for a while, but still didn’t call anyone out, so I decided to go alone. In Celestial Realm, you don’t know anything. If you encounter any danger, the people in Wangfeng Platform have basically no resistance. At worst, you can still run away if you can't figure it out yourself. After making the decision, Zuo Dao randomly chose a direction and started his journey to Celestial Realm. Along the way, Zuo Dao also discovered some novel things. First of all, the uniqueness of plants. After walking through several mountains, the distribution of plants is very characteristic. Basically, one kind of plant grows in a certain area. There will never be a second plant. And there is a clear line between each plant and the other. Another thing is the diversity of plants. There are no less than ten thousand different kinds of plants living in just a few mountain ranges. This makes Zuo Dao shout strange. According to his knowledge, this phenomenon is very unscientific. But what makes Celestial Realm unique? It’s big! In an unfamiliar environment, Zuo Dao has always maintained a certain level of alertness. It is scary for him not to know, Celestial Realm is a completely unfamiliar world, even if he doesn't know much about Celestial Realm in his mind. There were only a few scenes, and according to his guess, they might be the places where the Sword Immortal had been. But it doesn't help him at all now. Celestial Realm’s unique Celestial Aura creates its beautiful mountains and rivers. Every time Zuo Dao you can find some interesting things in the mountains. The only shortcoming is the lack of vitality. After walking like this for more than half a month, Zuo Dao except for eating the food he brought from the lower world, could not find a single creature that could be used as a tooth sacrifice. Although Cultivator has reached a certain Realm and can live without food, Zuo Dao has never restrained its desire for words. Just when the smell of birds was about to fade away from his mouth, he finally saw hope. The green smoke rising in the distance made him feel extremely friendly. Although he brought a large number of people with him, he was not prepared to let him go. They came out so quickly, which was already planned. Going on the road alone is also part of the plan. In his words, it is a path of growth. Only when you experience it alone can you know the fun of it. Along the way Zuo Dao stopped and went, on the one hand to adapt himself to the Celestial Realm environment, and on the other hand to see if there were spiritual values he needed in these mountains. Although he has no specific impression of Celestial Realm, he does have detailed information on various spiritual plants in Celestial Realm.
Zuo Dao was not a narrow-minded person, and he found the appearance of the Herbal Compendium of the Immortal Realm somewhat suspicious. However, for the time being, he chose to ignore this issue in order to play his role as a pawn effectively.
This was a village nestled deep within the mountains, where the villagers were busy with their own affairs. They showed little surprise at the arrival of Zuo Dao, continuing their tasks as if he did not exist at all.
Having not seen any signs of human activity for a long time, Zuo Dao felt a surge of excitement that made him oblivious to his surroundings. It wasn't until a few children ran past him while playing, without acknowledging his presence, that he realized something was off about this village.
He couldn't discern the strength of these people; it was as if this were merely a village of mortals. But could there really be mortals within the Celestial Realm?
Zuo Dao was deeply skeptical about this. The area was filled with boundless Celestial Aura, something that ordinary mortals could not possibly endure. Yet if the entire village's Realm surpassed Zuo Dao's by several times, he would refuse to believe it even if it meant his death.
Did those children who had just run past him each possess a Realm above that of celestial soldiers?
The more he thought about it, the more terrified Zuo Dao became. If that were true, then his entire plan would be thrown into disarray; Heterodox would not even qualify to be cannon fodder in such a Celestial Realm.
As he strolled through the village, someone finally took notice of him. It was an elderly man with hair as white as snow, even his eyebrows were frosted like winter. The old man lay peacefully in his yard, with steam rising from a red clay stove beside him. He seemed to be enjoying a moment of rest at home.
This childlike old man exuded an aura of wisdom and experience that Zuo Dao held in great respect.
"Young man, come sit for a while!" This was the first thing Zuo Dao heard upon entering the village. He had been about to walk past the fence when he stopped and looked at the elder.
"Strange, isn't it?" The old man seemed to sense Zuo Dao's doubts and waved him over as he stood outside the fence. "Come in and chat with this old man!"
Zuo Dao smiled and gently pushed open the bamboo gate to step inside.
The old man's face bore a calm smile, one that spoke of years lived through storms and sunshine, having found peace within himself.
Though Zuo Dao felt some confusion, he couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of warmth from the elder.
"Then I shall disturb you, sir." Zuo Dao returned the smile and sat down across from him.
"Good! Young man, come try this old man's craft. At my age, I have no other hobbies but this drink," said the elder as he gently lifted the red clay stove with his slightly chubby hands and poured a cup of tea for Zuo Dao.
The clear green liquid resembled a spring, as it splashed into the cup, and Zuo Dao faintly heard the sound of water trickling. A subtle wave of freshness washed over him, prompting him to take a deep breath. He felt a refreshing sensation throughout his body, as if the worries that had accumulated in his heart over the past month had vanished into thin air.
"Good tea," Zuo Dao remarked, surprised by his own reaction.
"What good tea? It's just homegrown. It's only because my granddaughter has a knack for it that this tea has some character," the old man chuckled heartily, clearly pleased by Zuo Dao's compliment. "Come, come, come, try it while it's hot."
Zuo Dao carefully lifted the cup of tea, nodded slightly to the old man, and tilted his head back to drink it all in one go.
The old man merely shook his head and smiled at Zuo Dao's mannerisms.
"In ancient times, there was Zhao Wang who used wine to relinquish military power. Today, this old man has a cup of tea to choose a good son-in-law; I suppose I won't let the ancients have all the glory."
Just as Zuo Dao finished the tea, he nearly choked on it upon hearing the old man's words. He gently set down the cup and replied with an odd expression, "Old man, please don't jest with me."
"Look at you getting scared! Does my granddaughter really not attract anyone? You should know that countless young men in Zhao Wang Village want to marry her," the old man's expression turned slightly stern, indicating his displeasure with Zuo Dao.
"Well..." Zuo Dao felt a bit awkward; he truly didn't know what to say. "Old man, this is Zhao Wang—what does that have to do with the ancient Zhao Wang?"
He tried to change the subject out of helplessness; he had just come for a cup of tea and now found himself in a matchmaking situation. If he continued drinking, wouldn’t it lead to a wedding feast?
"You are quite clever," the old man said knowingly about Zuo Dao's intentions. "Zhao Wang Village is indeed descended from the ancient Zhao Wang. However, times have changed; Zhao Wang Village is just a Zhao Wang Village now."
Although the evidence seemed sparse, Zuo Dao sensed a hint of ease in the old man's demeanor.
Zhao Wang? Relinquishing military power with wine? Although Zuo Dao was startled by the old man's matchmaking attempt, he keenly grasped the key point.
"May I ask your name, old man?" Zuo Dao asked cautiously, feeling a bit excited.
"Zhao Wang Kuangyin," the old man replied softly after glancing at Zuo Dao.
“Zhao Kuangyin!?” Although he was somewhat prepared, Zuo Dao was still taken aback by the old man's words. What kind of world was this? What exactly was the Celestial Realm? What he thought was a simple question suddenly became complicated over a cup of tea.
“Do you also know Zhao Wang?” The old man asked with a hint of teasing.
Zuo Dao's face flushed; he knew the old man must have sensed something, which prompted such a remark.
“I’m not very clear about it. After all, he is a legendary figure from ancient times. I hope you can enlighten me, elder,” Zuo Dao replied earnestly.
“You're quite clever, aren’t you? Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a proper chat with someone. Let me share some details with you,” the old man said nonchalantly. He heated another cup of tea and gestured for Zuo Dao to drink before he began to recount the life of Zhao Wang.
One cup after another, as the tea in the Red Clay Stove changed several times, the old man finally finished telling the story of Zhao Wang. However, during this time, Zuo Dao's heart was stirred by immense waves; this was not just Zhao Wang—this was clearly an alternate version of the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty, Zhao Kuangyin!
Zuo Dao's mind remained unsettled for a long time, while the old man did not disturb him, simply sitting quietly beside him and savoring his tea.
After a while, Zuo Dao finally came back to his senses and realized that his behavior seemed a bit inappropriate.
“I apologize for my rudeness.”
“It’s nothing, nothing at all. Come, let’s continue enjoying the tea. My granddaughter should be back soon,” the old man said, ignoring Zuo Dao's unusual demeanor. To him, it seemed that finding a suitable husband for his granddaughter was the most important matter at hand.
Zuo Dao broke out in a cold sweat.
