Feng Miaomiao seemed to be a regular visitor at Spirit Sword Mountain. When a disciple attempted to stop her, he was held back by his fellow sect members.
"Don't bother her; she's the friend and nemesis of the Demon Princess. Anyone who tries to stop her will be in trouble." Just as he finished speaking, he felt a chill run down his neck, noticing that his companions were staring at something behind him with shock.
Alarmed, the disciple turned around, only to see darkness engulf him before he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Feng Miaomiao clapped her hands, as if she had just accomplished something trivial, and addressed the disciple who had drawn his sword against her.
"Sometimes not stopping me can lead to trouble too."
With a radiant smile, she lifted her foot and walked inside.
The older disciples who witnessed this merely smiled wryly before stepping forward to help the knocked-out disciple. They paid no further attention to Feng Miaomiao, leaving only the sword-drawing disciple standing dumbfounded at the mountain gate.
Feng Miaomiao made her way unimpeded to Tai Shu Yun's cave.
"Sister Yun, why didn't you come out to welcome me?"
No matter how one looked at her, she was a beauty. Compared to Tai Shu Yun's youthful innocence, Feng Miaomiao was more voluptuous and curvaceous. Her dark brows and bright eyes sparkled with allure, her figure stood tall like an immortal monument, and her fiery red lips contrasted with her delicate white fingers. She exuded an enchanting charm that captivated all who beheld her.
"Crazy woman, what's up? Did your master send you to find my uncle again?" Tai Shu Yun asked after welcoming Feng Miaomiao inside.
"No, it's the Elder Council that needs something from you all at Spirit Sword Mountain. It just so happens that this task fell on me; you know how those people are," Feng Miaomiao replied with a hint of helplessness.
This mission was undoubtedly part of some scheme by those old-timers in their group. They clearly knew about her master's relationship with Spirit Sword Mountain yet still sent her. Her master had actually agreed to it too. She couldn't fathom what those people were thinking.
"Sister Yun, what kind of person is our master really?" Since she couldn't figure it out herself, she decided to ask. However, after waiting for a while without a response, she turned around and saw Tai Shu Yun sitting there with her hands propping up her chin, lost in thought.
"Sister Yun, what are you thinking about?" Feng Miaomiao suddenly approached from behind and hugged Tai Shu Yun, startling her.
"What are you doing? You can't just sneak up on someone like that; it could give them a heart attack," Tai Shu Yun replied lazily.
"Huh." Feng Miaomiao sensed something was off. Normally, if she had done this, Tai Shu Yun would have fought back fiercely. But today seemed different; it was as if nothing bothered her at all.
"Sister Yun, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? That shouldn't be the case; normally, we Cultivators don't have the same issues as ordinary girls," Feng Miaomiao teased, a smirk on her face as she looked at Tai Shu Yun.
"Could it be that our Demon Princess has a crush?"
Tai Shu Yun's face flushed, and she remained silent. This revelation could completely shatter Feng Miaomiao's worldview.
"It can't be true!" Her incredulous expression only deepened the blush on Tai Shu Yun's cheeks.
"Oh no, oh no! Even our Witch has been captured! Which outstanding young master is it?" Feng Miaomiao's curiosity about Tai Shu Yun was piqued to an extreme level.
She knew that many disciples and relatives within the Elder Council had their eyes on this Demon Princess, but she never expected someone would quietly win her over.
"Sigh, I still don't know if he has feelings for me," Tai Shu Yun said helplessly. She truly couldn't decipher Zuo Dao's thoughts. With all the recent changes, she felt even more lost about what to do.
"What?" Feng Miaomiao exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock.
"You? Him? This can't be real! Oh, may the heavens strike him down with a lightning tribulation!"
"The tribulation wouldn't affect him," Tai Shu Yun replied nonchalantly. At that moment, she seemed to drift back to when Zuo Dao had repelled the Tribulation. Those two mundane words had easily sent a terrifying trial retreating. In that instant, she felt immense happiness and security.
Seeing Tai Shu Yun in such a blissful state made Feng Miaomiao want to slap her awake.
A surge of killing intent jolted Tai Shu Yun out of her reverie. Without any visible movement, flames erupted around her, enveloping her completely. At the same time, she flipped her hand, and an exquisitely beautiful and enchanting Lotus Fire appeared in her palm.
Feng Miaomiao was fortunate to be at a safe distance. At that moment, a wide area around Tai Shu Yun became off-limits to anyone else. The stone table and chairs nearby were scorched, and even the ground was burned into a large pit.
Feng Miaomiao gasped in awe; if she had touched that fire even slightly... The thought sent a chill down her spine, stopping her from imagining further.
At this point, Tai Shu Yun also regained her composure and retracted the Supreme Dao Lotus, looking at Feng Miaomiao with a mix of annoyance and playfulness.
"Stop messing around; I'm not skilled with this yet. If I'm not careful, I might burn you."
"You! You! You! It? It? It?" Feng Miaomiao found herself starting to lose her words.
"It was given to me by him," Tai Shu Yun said, a mix of sweetness and sadness in her tone.
"What?" Feng Miaomiao jumped forward, the mountain peak shaking slightly. Looking at Tai Shu Yun made her a bit envious; it was just too spectacular. She couldn't help but swallow hard. This was the kind of person Feng Miaomiao was, effortlessly exuding charm that captivated both men and women alike.
"Come on, tell me who that man is! Introduce me to him. If he doesn't appreciate you, I might just be his type," she blurted out, her words pushing Tai Shu Yun over the edge.
"Big Bird Cat, get lost!" Tai Shu Yun snapped. She hadn't even settled things with Zuo Dao yet, and now Feng Miaomiao wanted to meddle again. She believed that Feng Miaomiao could definitely pull it off, but it was simply intolerable.
Fueled by anger, the Supreme Dao Lotus erupted once more.
"Are you serious?! Sister Yun!" Feng Miaomiao realized the situation had escalated. Not daring to delay, she channeled her spiritual energy, and a phoenix cry echoed throughout Spirit Sword Mountain.
Above Tai Shu Yun's Cave, two overwhelming forces clashed.
New disciples thought a strong enemy had arrived and were taken aback. Only the older disciples shook their heads at this scene and muttered, "Sigh, they're fighting again."
They returned to their own business.
Curious onlookers approached to inquire and soon learned that the two princesses from the Earth Altar Star Domain were at it again. This had become an open secret within Spirit Sword Mountain; every few years, these two would stage a "Duel of the Two Princesses."
Feng Miaomiao unleashed her full momentum to barely withstand Tai Shu Yun's aura.
"Are you kidding me? What did your crush give you to make you so powerful all of a sudden?" Feng Miaomiao asked in surprise. In the past, Tai Shu Yun had always been at her mercy while she had been the one struggling on the Alchemical Path. But after not seeing each other for a few years, Tai Shu Yun had made such remarkable progress that she could now overpower Feng Miaomiao with sheer presence alone.
"Mind your own business; I'm not letting go," Tai Shu Yun retorted angrily without explaining further. She launched an attack but held back enough not to go all out; however, even so, her Cave was destined for destruction.
The Supreme Dao Lotus combined with Feng Miaomiao's phoenix form meant that even the rocks of Spirit Sword Mountain, which were harder than ordinary stones, turned to dust.
"Hmph, I knew you had already cultivated the Phoenix Aspect," Tai Shu Yun exclaimed with a playful tone. "Just wait, it's time for you to face my Lotus Fire and Dao Sword."
At that moment, Spirit Sword Mountain did not possess a single sword capable of withstanding her Lotus Fire, so she simply condensed the flames into a sword. The Dao Sword formed from the Lotus Fire was as beautiful as jade, crystal clear, and occasionally refracted rainbow-colored light, making it truly stunning. This technique of condensing fire into a sword was also taught to her by Zuo Dao.
With the sword in hand, Tai Shu Yun exuded an impressive aura. Even Feng Miaomiao, who merely glanced at her, felt a hint of distraction.
"Woof."
With a Sword Slash, she tore through space, the momentum suggesting that it could burn through this realm itself.
Feng Miaomiao let out a strange cry and hurriedly dodged, dissipating her Phoenix Aspect.
"I'm not fighting anymore; no matter how we go about it, I'll always be at a disadvantage. However, I must admit I'm becoming more and more interested in your mysterious love interest."
Pride was important; in truth, she had developed a great curiosity about Tai Shu Yun's enigmatic partner.
That sword was clearly forged from the nameless flames in her hands, something even her own master could achieve. Moreover, those flames were created with the help of that man for Tai Shu Yun. She couldn't believe that Tai Shu Yun could reach this level on her own.
If it were on the Alchemical Path, she could understand it better, but in terms of cultivation? She knew Tai Shu Yun too well.
Tai Shu Yun did not continue to linger; she dispersed the Lotus Fire and Dao Sword in her hands. Silently standing atop the ruins of the Cave, tears began to flow down her cheeks.
