At that moment, he finally had the time to glance at Taku Village, which was huddled nearby.
"You belong to the Master Brother; I won't kill you," he said dismissively, as if regarding an ant.
At this moment, Mind had already been captivated by the colorful radiance emanating from Yan Zhen. Even he, who was bound and unable to cultivate, could feel the immense power of the seven-colored light.
Killer God—Zuo Dao's figure loomed larger in his mind. All thoughts of revenge for his son and treasures like the Celestial Artifact faded away; he would gladly become a beast of burden if it meant he could absorb even a trace of that colorful light. However, seeing Yan Zhen with his eyes tightly shut, he couldn't help but let out a sigh.
Zuo Dao paid no mind to him, standing silently before everyone, quietly recovering from his earlier depletion. The loss of Mind was particularly significant.
Yan Zhen was now completely enveloped in the seven-colored radiance, his body slowly levitating. The four senior brothers and sisters of the Second Ancestor's Seven Sons were also caught within it, wildly drawing in energy from their surroundings.
At this point, Yan Zhen's expression had calmed down; he felt as if he were soaking in something inexplicable. Five familiar auras surrounded him, along with the powerful presence of Nine Paths rippling nearby, yet he sensed no hostility whatsoever.
A trickle of spiritual power began to gather within him as the Sitting Forgetting Heart Method slowly activated. The powerful energy crashed within him; he was both pained and exhilarated.
The more the Second Ancestor cultivated, the more alarmed he became; signs of his Nascent Soul fracturing were evident. He couldn't help but feel delighted—this was a sign of impending breakthrough!
"Seal it." Before they could rejoice, two cold words echoed in their ears.
Instantly, an unknown force sealed his Nascent Soul within.
"Now is not the best time for a breakthrough; focus on absorbing the seven-colored energy," Zuo Dao stated. He did not want them to break through just yet; his ambitions were grand. A breakthrough on this planet would be a dead end. He intended to wait for the right place and time to allow this group to advance, ensuring maximum effectiveness.
The cultivators from Paradise had already reached outside the Great Formation.
"Are you sure that Killer God only revealed this Great Formation after arriving here?" a tall cultivator asked as he looked at several kneeling cultivators on the ground.
"Yes, Lord Hong Chuang," replied the Cultivator who had rushed here from Taku Village.
"Alright, it's no longer your concern." He then addressed another Cultivator beside him, "Take down the entire area and wait for Killer God to come out and see how he handles it."
"Understood, my lord."
The attack was swift and decisive. One of the Nascent Soul Cultivators attempted to escape but was pierced through by a single finger, rendering his Nascent Soul useless. The remaining Cultivators were so frightened that they froze like silkworms in winter, obediently allowing him to capture them.
"Let's go; we should check inside. I wonder how that old fellow from Taku Village is doing."
With that, he led the way into the formation.
Zuo Dao coldly observed a group of Cultivators appearing ahead and waved his hand, slicing out a trench that extended for hundreds of feet.
"Crossing the line means death."
While the Cultivators were still in shock at the sight produced by the Great Formation Transformation, they were suddenly jolted awake by a cold shout.
Looking ahead at the young Cultivator dressed in white robes with a youthful appearance, many Cultivators couldn't help but laugh.
"Kid, you should call for an adult to come out!" one of the Cultivators remarked.
If it weren't for the knowledge that Killer God was right here and the uncertainty about this young Cultivator's relationship with him, someone would have already slapped him across the face. The weakest among them were all Golden Core True Persons; when had it ever been a Qi Training Cultivator's turn to boast in front of them?
As for Zuo Dao's earlier actions, they were completely overlooked, with many believing that the power displayed was merely a result of a treasure bestowed by an elder. Some cultivators had already made up their minds that if this young man did not possess the same abilities as the Killer God, they would seize the opportunity to take that treasure for themselves. Even if they couldn't use it, passing it down to their descendants would still be a worthwhile endeavor.
However, Hong Chuang's mind was not on Zuo Dao. A Qi Practitioner had unconsciously been ignored by him; he was deeply captivated by the colorful sphere of light ahead. He felt a voice within him calling out, urging him to approach that sphere, insisting that he must obtain it.
A strong desire began to grow in his heart, which made him more alert. As an old-school cultivator from Paradise, he had experienced countless bloody storms throughout his life. Caution had become his second nature; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to maintain his position for so long.
The mysterious Colorful Light Sphere and the young cultivator before him created a rather strange situation. He even sensed that if he did not heed the young cultivator's warnings, merely touching that line would result in a devastating backlash.
At this moment, many cultivators were already stirring restlessly nearby. Hong Chuang did not stop them; he simply communicated with his subordinates to remain still. Several factions with Nascent Soul Great Perfection cultivators also chose not to act.
Although the young cultivator ahead was at a very low level, his single strike was something even these Nascent Soul Great Perfection cultivators found difficult to achieve. To them, that chasm had become a wall of death, containing more than two realms of understanding. A name involuntarily surfaced in their minds.
Killer God Zuo Dao.
Though they did not know why Zuo Dao stood in their way, it did not hinder their judgment regarding the value of that Colorful Light Sphere.
"Hong old man, what do you think about this?" The second-ranked Ghostly Old Monster from Paradise privately transmitted a message.
"What should we do? If you can get past Killer God’s barrier, all the benefits will be yours." Hong Chuang was no novice cultivator; he understood the implications behind the ghost's words. If he rashly agreed, he would end up sacrificing a significant portion of his own interests.
"We can't handle it alone; we need to drag those old-timers into this too if we want any chance." The ghost glanced at the cultivators who had already leaped forward.
"Rumor has it that Killer God has two other Great Perfection beings under his command, plus Killer God himself—it's already an overwhelming force. Only by dragging those old-timers down with us do we stand a chance. Moreover, I don't believe those old-timers have no interest in that colorful amusement park."
"Then you go make contact while I observe for a while longer." After a moment of silence, Hong Chuang finally agreed to the ghost's proposal.
"What’s going on? The spiritual energy within me is boiling!" shouted a Cultivator who rushed forward.
"I thought I was the only one feeling this."
"Haha, I feel like I'm about to break through."
One by one, more Cultivators began to shout.
"It’s that Colorful Light Sphere," one Cultivator exclaimed loudly. "The closer we get to that light, the stronger the feeling becomes."
As soon as these words were spoken, even more Cultivators surged forward. Even Hong Chuang's subordinates from several major factions felt the impulse to move. Hong Chuang shot them a glance to suppress their enthusiasm. Those rushing in were simply courting death; he didn’t want to exhaust his strength before even making a move.
"That colorful light must be a Celestial Artifact! Everyone, rush for it!" shouted a clever Cultivator, secretly retreating. But more Cultivators charged ahead, dragging him along, leaving him in despair. They didn’t notice that the Cultivator who had pulled him along was smirking to himself.
They were only a few miles away from the line drawn by Zuo Dao, and all present were Golden Core True Persons; it wouldn’t take long for them to reach the line. Some Cultivators quietly moved sideways, heading toward the area without the line. Although those who saw them grumbled internally, they still followed suit.
Seeing this scene, Zuo Dao merely sneered.
"As long as you don’t cross this line, everything can be handled easily. I, Zuo Dao, will still consider you friends. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being ruthless."
