Watching Feng Yikong follow behind him, Zuo Dao shook his head in disbelief. What kind of people were these? 0

First, he was inexplicably recognized by two Ancient Ancestors as their master without knowing the reason. Now, seven more were seemingly ready to come to him willingly. According to Feng Yikong's rules, possessing the “Wudao Order” made him the new master, while the Seven Unruly Disciples were meant to protect him. However, anyone who wanted to be recognized as the master had to defeat the Seven Disciples. Otherwise, the Seven Unruly Disciples would be nothing but a facade; he could forget about them helping him with even a single spirit stone. 0

It was a headache. Should he run away or gather a group for an outing? 0

“Fengzi, do you really not need to fight those remaining few?” Zuo Dao asked Feng Yikong. 0

“Don’t call me Fengzi.” 0

“Hey, I’m asking you!” 0

“I’m not your ‘Hey’.” 0

“Yizi, can you at least respond?” 0

“Just call me Fengzi. Fight? What do they have to fight with?” Feng Yikong looked at Zuo Dao with disdain. 0

“You have Second Ancestor behind you; they’re at most half a step into Nascent Soul. How can they fight?” 0

“Aren’t they supposed to subdue the master first?” Zuo Dao asked, somewhat confused. 0

“That’s what they say, but it doesn’t mean they have to do it personally. Besides, who is Second Ancestor to you? Although I don’t know how you managed to take them in, just based on that alone, do you think those people are fools?” Feng Yikong found that this new master, Zhen, could be both clever and foolish at times. 0

“The Seven Unruly Disciples have always been chosen by the Wudao Order. Once we are selected, our only task is to wait. We wait for the new master to appear and then get defeated, obeying the master’s commands. If the master is defeated, then the Wudao Order will fly away and start anew with different candidates.” 0

“In our generation, the Wudao Order has been silent for a long time. Several waves of people have come and gone in between.” Suddenly feeling a bit melancholic, Feng Yikong made Zuo Dao uncomfortable. 0

"You all..." 0

"We are passed down from generation to generation, and each of the Seven Disciples chooses their own successor. In fact, there is a unified term for people like us—Guardians. Above the Guardians, there are others known as Guardians as well. I don't know who your Guardian is, but I imagine they must be an extraordinary person." 0

Looking at Zuo Dao, Feng Yikong's expression was complex. 0

Just a mere Qi Practitioner possessed two Followers at the level of Nascent Soul Ancestors, and with himself and the other Six People, it wouldn't be impossible to dominate the Moling Star. However, becoming a local overlord was definitely within reach. 0

After spending so much time with Zuo Dao, Feng Yikong felt a bit worried. The other six disciples did not have the same good fortune as he did. He had recognized Zuo Dao's identity at the first moment, which was why he chose to abandon resistance. He had noticed that the two Ancient Ancestors, Yao and Huo, always fell half a step behind Zuo Dao. What kind of attitude was that? 0

Even if it came to a fight, Feng Yikong wasn't entirely confident he could defeat Zuo Dao. Although the impression Zuo Dao gave him was that of a beginner Qi Practitioner, he sensed an underlying danger. This feeling was something he had only experienced with his master's previous Seven Disciples. 0

Shaking his head, Feng Yikong tried to clear his mind. What was all this about? Forget it; he had already acknowledged Zuo Dao's status as his master, so why worry about it? Besides, the other six disciples likely didn't have the strength to take down Zuo Dao anyway. 0

The group walked and chatted casually, moving along the Great Dao as if they were ordinary people. 0

... 0

At the moment Zuo Dao and his companions were leaving Phoenix City, Tang Long, who had failed to insult Zuo Dao at the city gate, was kneeling before a young Cultivator in the lord's mansion, feeling anxious and uneasy. 0

"You... you're just an outer disciple of my Meteor Pavilion. You may use Meteor Pavilion's name to bully others, but look at what you've done!" 0

"If it weren't for your uncle's sake, I would have thrown you out of Meteor Pavilion long ago." The young Cultivator scolded Tang Long incessantly. 0

Looking at Tang Long before him, Bu Juyi was filled with anger. This kid had decent talent but seemed to lose his mind at times. He had just brought him into Meteor Pavilion, and now he had embarrassed them so greatly outside the city. How could someone who bullied three Loose Cultivators end up being dealt with like this? He didn't even know what to say to him anymore. 0

Tang Long knelt there, submissive and hesitant, his mind racing with thoughts on how to minimize the impact of the situation. After much contemplation, he finally devised a plan. 0

"Elder Bu, I actually suspected they were..." Tang Long hesitated to finish his sentence. 0

"What? You don't mean to suggest they are the three from Zuo Dao, do you? If it were truly them, would you still have the life to kneel here?" Bu Juyi scoffed. 0

"Your wisdom is unmatched, Elder," Tang Long replied cautiously. 0

"Put away those thoughts of yours; however, that is indeed one way to look at it," Bu Juyi mused for a moment. 0

Recently, there had been several incidents in the city. A few informants had mysteriously disappeared, along with others from different factions in the city. They vanished without a trace, and reports indicated they might have been tracking the same group when they went missing. Meanwhile, the three individuals they were following had left through the city gates. 0

There were signs suggesting that these three might be connected to the conflict at the city gates involving Tang Long. Considering that Zuo Dao's group also consisted of three members, it was highly plausible that, as Tang Long suspected, these three were indeed part of Zuo Dao's entourage. For cultivators, changing their appearance was as simple as drinking water. 0

"Alright, you can stop kneeling now. How many times have you cursed me in your heart? From now on, focus on your cultivation and don’t disgrace your uncle," Bu Juyi said, casting a glance at Tang Long still kneeling below him. 0

"This matter ends here. If anyone asks you about it, just say what you think: suspect those three are disguising themselves as Zuo Dao's group. You may leave now." 0

"Thank you, Elder. I take my leave," Tang Long said with a sense of relief, knowing he had passed this hurdle. He bowed and exited. 0

After Tang Long left, Bu Juyi pondered for a moment; this approach wasn't entirely foolproof. As long as he could establish a connection between Zuo Dao and these three groups, he could confirm whether they were indeed the Zuo Dao members he had been searching for. 0

But what if his suspicions turned out to be correct? What then? In all of Phoenix City, he was the only Golden Core True Person with any significant combat power; even if Zuo Dao was alone among them, he wouldn't dare attempt to capture him—after all, that individual had been proven capable of countering Golden Core cultivators. 0

Putting those thoughts aside for now, confirming that his information aligned with his suspicions would still count as an achievement. 0

The entire Phoenix City became busy after Zuo Dao's departure. Orders were issued from the lord's mansion, and batches of Guardians were dispatched, while some covert forces also began to move. 0

Soon, a piece of intelligence was placed before Bu Juyi. After reading it, Bu Juyi was overjoyed. The three individuals at the city gate and the three being monitored inside the city were indeed the same group. Moreover, among the missing personnel, there were several with Foundation Establishment Period capabilities, leading to the conclusion that it was highly likely that they were the three from Zuo Dao. 0

Those informants had undergone specialized training and were adept at concealment; some could even evade detection by their own Zhenren. The only possible explanation for simultaneously severing contact with these individuals would be an intervention by someone at the Nascent Soul level. 0

While it couldn't be ruled out that the other party used some secret technique, Bu Juyi remained convinced that it was indeed Zuo Dao and his companions. 0

Since there was intelligence indicating that it might be Zuo Dao's trio, what remained was no longer his concern. After reporting to the Meteor Pavilion headquarters, Bu Juyi awaited his rewards. A battle involving a Nascent Soul Ancestor was not something a mere Golden Core True Person could participate in. 0

"Tang Long has indeed done a good deed," he mused. 0

Meanwhile, Zuo Dao and his group were unaware that their whereabouts had been exposed. They followed the guidance of the Wudao Order toward their next target. 0

Listening to the Wind, Free in the Sky was also the next location for the appearance of the Seven Unruly Disciples. Among these soon-to-be-seen Seven Disciples, one held an extraordinary title. 0

The First of the Star Eaters. 0
