Xunuo dared not linger here, fearing that a few Foundation Establishment Ancestors might jump out from the Blood Hole. "Exactly," Cold Ice said as he pinched out a jade slip with one hand. "In recent years, I have carefully studied this jade slip bestowed by my benefactor and discovered that its Cultivation Method is remarkably similar to that practiced by the ascended being in those rumors. However, this Cultivation Method is constrained by the Soul Nurturing Pearl, making it nearly impossible for others to replicate. Xunuo's body stiffened as he grabbed hold of the Yin Soul Rope with his other hand and urged urgently, "Put away your artifact and do nothing."
Cold Ice was completely stunned but trusted Xunuo nonetheless; he stood still just like Xunuo. In this icy environment, sweat began to bead on Xunuo's forehead. Without turning back, he extended one foot backward into his previous footprint and took a step back. Then he followed suit again for another step back. In less than ten steps down the staircase, it took Xunuo an entire tea's worth of time to retreat completely.
"It is the Reversal of Heaven and Earth Five Elements Formation," Xunuo sighed at that moment.
"This is impossible!" Cold Ice exclaimed. "This is the Ancient Guardian Sect Formation, long ago..." At this point, Cold Ice's voice abruptly stopped. He suddenly realized that this site was indeed the ruins of the Ancient Sect, so it was not surprising to have such a protective formation. However, with the Reversal of Heaven and Earth Five Elements Formation guarding the mountain gate, they had no chance of breaking through, and Cold Ice immediately felt disheartened.
Xunuo was also exceptionally cautious.
