"Wei Ning" calmly said, "This is a matter between the two of you and has nothing to do with me. However, you killed 'Maid Granny.' Even if 'Wei Xian Gui' doesn't come after you, I won't let you go either. For now, I won't interfere." With that, "Wei Ning" took a step back, clearly stating their position.
"Wei Xian Gui" glanced at "Wei Ning" and replied, "Very well."
"You and I will have our battle sooner or later, just not today," "Wei Ning" said to "Wei Xian Gui."
"Heh, I would love to see you surpass me," "Wei Xian Gui" said, his body moving without wind as he turned to "Peng Bai." "Now it's time for us to settle everything. Since you're willing to stick your neck out, you must have something up your sleeve. Show it all at once so I don't have to worry."
"Peng Bai" chuckled, but his smile was far from pleasant. "I can create you; naturally, I can also take care of you myself."
"Is that so?" "Wei Xian Gui" said disdainfully.
Suddenly, "Peng Bai" moved. A dark aura enveloped him as he waved his hand. The three perpetual lamps on the roof, windowsill, and bedside flared up violently, casting an eerie glow throughout the room. In his hand, "Peng Bai" held an ancient bell and lightly struck it.
"The Six Ghost Spirit Child Technique," "Wei Xian Gui" frowned and said, "Peng Bai, after all these years, you still haven't changed your wicked habit of tormenting children. Truly shameless."
"Wei Ning" couldn't help but recall the last time "Peng Bai" had been in his home crafting ghost children, feeling even more disgusted with the old man.
"The Ghost Fetus is the most vengeful spirit born of resentment. Besides me, 'Peng Bai,' who else dares to claim they can fully control these things?" "Peng Bai" laughed sinisterly. The more charming his smile appeared, the deeper his murderous intent grew. He produced six sheets of white paper as if by magic and began chanting incantations. Spitting out a mouthful of true yang blood onto the paper caused it to flutter in the wind, transforming into three boys and three girls—six paper children. The boys stood at five feet tall while the girls were four feet tall; the boys wore red and yellow garments while the girls donned blue and green.
"Wei Ning" thought: Although "Wei Xian Gui" is also ruthless and treacherous, having spent so much time together, this person has acted with integrity in their dealings—at least no longer engaging in underhanded actions. Compared to "Peng Bai" or "Ning Suwen," he possesses a certain grandeur. On the other hand, while "Peng Bai" has saved me multiple times, his narrow-mindedness and penchant for using Infant Spirit techniques border on shamelessness.
The Six Ghost Spirit Child Technique represents the highest realm of Infant Spirit sorcery. These six ghost children were crafted from top-tier Infant Spirits and required a life steeped in dark energy. Clearly, "Peng Bai" had put considerable effort into collecting these six Infant Spirits. Each Spirit Child was bound within its paper form; special binding techniques were necessary—iron wire or steel wire had to be added when tying the necks during construction. Three wires for boys and five for girls; this applied to their limbs as well. Each paper child wore a copper coin lock around its chest numbered one through six.
The Six Spirits consisted of the Body Boy, who had no facial features and wore gold-threaded bracelets on his limbs, along with a collar around his neck. The Eye Child had only eyes drawn on its face, with vermilion pupils that seemed to glimmer. The Ear Spirit featured only ears, or rather, ears that were tied up, adorned with two copper bells. The Nose Child had just a nose, pierced with a golden ring. The Mouth Boy had a mouth and tongue depicted, with a coin held in its mouth. Finally, the Spirit Child had complete facial features. Once these six ghostly children were refined, they could ascend to the thirty-three heavens or descend into the eighteen layers of hell, wielding immense power. It was evident that Peng Bai had invested decades of effort into this endeavor, which he now presented to contend with Wei Xian Gui.
Wei Xian Gui remained composed and glanced at Peng Bai's six ghostly children, sneering, "You dare to bring such underhanded methods into the grand hall? Peng Bai, you have strayed from the path for many years. Trapping you in the Burning Corpse Forest was indeed an act of accumulating virtue."
Peng Bai replied ominously, "You, Wei Xian Gui, dare to speak of virtue? Just wait for your descent into hell!" With a fierce shout, Peng Bai declared, "I possess the blood of the Beast Soul, capable of subduing all Evil Spirits! I have the body of a pure youth, able to withstand all demons and monsters!"
"The body of a pure youth?!" Wei Xian Gui and Wei Ning's eyes nearly popped out in disbelief. Wei Ning couldn't help but glance at the nearby Yin-Yang Boy, clearly implying: If you are indeed a pure youth...
A vengeful glare shot from Peng Bai's eyes as he said coldly, "That is why I must kill her!"
Clearly, Peng Bai was determined to preserve his status as a pure youth; thus, he hesitated to share a bed with Peng San Po. He might have used his own magical illusions to make Peng San Po believe they had been intimate. Eventually, it must have led to some misunderstanding regarding Peng San Po's actions that resulted in the Yin-Yang Boy's existence. Feeling wronged and unable to voice his grievances, Peng Bai sought to eliminate Peng San Po to clear his name. Unfortunately, the poor child became the target of Peng Bai's misplaced anger.
It was tragic that Peng San Po might never understand why Peng Bai was so cruel to her.
Peng Bai bit his finger until it bled and crafted a talisman with his bare hands. He shouted, "I summon the supreme Yin-Yang Ancestor's decree with my blood as a guide! Spirit Child, draw forth the Demon God! No obstacles shall impede me from all directions; should anyone obstruct me, I will surely take your life!" With that, he cast six Golden Talismans from his hands and affixed them onto the foreheads of the six ghostly children. Wei Xian Gui observed calmly and remarked lightly, "Are you done playing tricks? If so, I will make my move."
As soon as he finished speaking, Wei Xian Gui suddenly shifted sideways and pressed toward Peng Bai with both hands. Instantly pale with fear, Peng Bai leaped back urgently while pointing his sword wildly and commanded, "Body Boy, move forward and block him!" The Body Boy without facial features floated lightly into the air and quickly landed in front of Wei Xian Gui's path just in time to obstruct him. Strangely enough, although this Body Boy was merely a paper figure, it emanated an energy that seemed capable of absorbing everything. It felt as if Wei Xian Gui were striking against cotton; no matter how hard he exerted himself, it was futile. A sense of dread filled Wei Xian Gui; despite half of Peng Bai's name suggesting foolishness, he was not truly an idiot.
These six spirits were clearly aimed directly at him.
With their keen senses—sharp hearing and sight—they targeted his Blood Corpse form directly, stripping him of his physical advantages. Only then did Peng Bai seize the opportunity to counterattack.
He still had tricks up his sleeve; Wei Xian Gui thought confidently.
