Wei Qiuxi's eyes were slightly closed, his right palm open as he slowly spoke, "The heart is the body, the intention is the command, the energy flows to the palm, and the energy acts like a wall. The wall blocks the enemy; this is the law, this is the command. Spirit, come here and protect my body, my law, my command."
A green mist began to rise slowly from Wei Qiuxi's right palm, growing denser as it swirled above his hand. The entire Wei Family Ancestral Tomb was illuminated in strange colors, with the sun, moon, and stars in the air glowing crimson. The carved dragons and phoenixes on the stone pillars and walls appeared even more lifelike, as if they were about to leap out.
"Wow, old man, this is fun! Teach me too!" Liu Linglang exclaimed with wide eyes, extending her right palm and mimicking Wei Qiuxi's every move. However, there was no green mist in her hand.
Ding Ying felt a chill run down her spine; something was wrong. She quickly grabbed Liu Linglang's arm and said, "Liu, this isn't a place for us to stay. We should leave."
"Leave? Wei Ning hasn't arrived yet; let's wait for him," Liu Linglang replied.
"Want to leave?" Wei Qiuxi said coldly. "My Earth Spirit Barrier is already set; it's too late." With that, he raised both hands high and suddenly slammed them down onto the ground.
With a thunderous boom, boundless waves of light began to swirl around Wei Qiuxi. The shockwaves sent Ding Ying's clothes fluttering wildly.
The azure waves crashed in layers. The sound of "pop pop" echoed continuously as Ding Ying felt her blood surge in her chest. Unable to help herself, she covered her ears and shouted, "Liu, it's bad! You go first!" Taking a deep breath, she used the momentum to charge toward Wei Qiuxi. He did not dodge; instead, he met her with the crashing azure waves. The sounds of "boom boom" resonated as the waves surged beside her, causing Ding Ying's figure to flicker and then fall to the ground.
"Sister," Liu Linglang cried out upon seeing Ding Ying injured by Wei Qiuxi's attack. Her brows furrowed in anger as she shouted, "You old man! I will eliminate you in the name of the moon!"
Wei Qiuxi replied coldly, "Girl, this is none of your business. Stay aside." With a wave of his hands downward, it seemed as if he pulled out strands of spiritual energy from the ground like red threads. In his hands appeared what resembled a long whip. Liu Linglang attempted to grab it with her hands but was shocked to find that this whip seemed to have a mind of its own, wrapping around her arms like a Golden Snake coiling tightly. Startled, she tried to break free while shouting desperately, "Let me go, you bad old man!"
Wei Qiuxi said sternly, "Let you out to cause trouble in the mortal realm?" With one hand continuously drawing circles around him, waves of azure energy swirled around him. As he moved gracefully through the air, blue circles of light were constantly thrown toward Liu Linglang.
This technique was called "Earth Spirit Barrier," utilizing Earth Spirit energy to create an Earth Spirit wall meant to trap Liu Linglang. Earth Spirit belonged to the earth element and was one of the hardest substances in existence; if an ordinary ghost or monster were trapped inside it would be severed from yin and yang and would never attain rebirth.
Liu Linglang had always been the one to play with others; never had she been toyed with like this. Anger surged within her, and she shook her hands forcefully. The crisp sounds of "pop, pop, pop" echoed as the red thread and azure circle entwined around her disintegrated into nothingness. Liu Linglang slammed her hands onto the ground, creating a thunderous noise that reverberated through the area. The airwaves conjured by Wei Qiuxi whipped around like a raging wind, causing Wei Qiuxi to feel a chill in her heart. She quickly stepped back, reciting a protective incantation, but it was no match for Liu Linglang's terrifying strike. A sweet taste filled her mouth as she stumbled and fell to the ground.
"Hmph, I won't hold this against you for Wei Ning's sake. Sister, let's go," Liu Linglang said triumphantly after landing a hit, linking arms with Ding Ying and preparing to leave.
"Demon! Look up!" Wei Qiuxi shouted. Liu Linglang raised her head slightly and saw a green energy shield crackling with electricity descending upon her.
If they were on the surface, the power of the Earth Spirit Barrier would have been limited, but as Wei Qiuxi pointed out, this was the Wei Family's territory. Wei Xianjun had mastered the Demon God and undoubtedly installed numerous restrictions within his burial site. The overwhelming flow of earth energy was one such restriction.
The Earth Spirit Barrier loomed above, crashing down directly upon Liu Linglang, who could not evade it and was firmly trapped. Frustration welled up within her as she pounded on the Earth Spirit Barrier with both hands, but no matter how hard she struck, there was not a single crack in its surface.
"You old fool, I will fight you!" Liu Linglang exclaimed in shock. With a powerful strike to the ground, she shouted, "All you demons and monsters, come out and help me defeat this old man!"
Despite her fierce declaration, there was no change in the ground beneath her. After three consecutive strikes yielded no results, Wei Qiuxi coldly remarked from outside the barrier, "This is my Wei Family's forbidden ground; what kind of demon dares to enter?"
In an instant, Wei Qiuxi swiftly produced three mirrors and arranged them according to the layout of heaven, earth, and humanity beside Liu Linglang. She then took out several willow branches and placed them outside the barrier before scattering green beans, red beans, yellow beans, black beans, and peas into the air. They swirled around in vibrant colors—a beautiful sight indeed. The five beans summoned yang energy from the earth while the Xuanyuan Mirror drew forth righteous energy from heaven and earth. The willow branches acted as barriers against malevolent forces. This Exorcism Technique transformed into a Zombie sealing spell. Although Liu Linglang inside could not discern Wei Qiuxi's intentions from this display alone, it still made her heart race with unease. She continued to pound and curse within the Earth Spirit Barrier; though futile, her foul words never ceased.
Wei Qiuxi smiled and said, "In just a moment more, you will never have another chance to speak."
With that, she unfurled a massive Taiji Diagram that fluttered in the wind and swiftly positioned it beneath Liu Linglang's feet. As Liu Linglang stood firm on both sides of the diagram, it felt as if countless hands were holding her back, making it difficult for her to move.
Wei Qiuxi formed hand seals and conjured a piece of cedar wood that pierced into the Earth Spirit Barrier just enough to press against Liu Linglang's lungs. Liu Linglang felt an increasing heaviness in her chest as immense pain coursed through her body.
With cedar pressing against her lungs from the front and willow against her liver from behind, Liu Linglang found herself ensnared by Zhu You's secret technique and momentarily immobilized. Wei Qiuxi smiled slightly before raising a green dragon insignia in her hand and directing it eastward while proclaiming loudly: "Eastern Palace Azure Dragon seals your positions: Jiao, Kang, Di, Fang, Xin, Wei, Ji!"
He took out a Vermilion Bird Seal and threw it towards the south, shouting, "Nangong Zhuque, seal You Well, Gui, Liu, Xing, Zhang, Yi, Zhen of the Seven Constellations!"
Then he took out a White Tiger Seal and threw it towards the west, shouting, "West Palace White Tiger, seal Kui, Lou, Wei, Ang, Bi, Zi, Shen of the Seven Constellations!"
Liu Linglang was greatly alarmed; her body began to stiffen little by little. If these twenty-eight constellations formed a trap, she would be sealed here forever and would never be able to turn the situation around.
