A faint glow drifted out from the deep, dark hall. Inside the ancient and majestic chamber, the antique doors and windows, along with the columns, were intricately carved with dragons and phoenixes, exuding a sense of grandeur and indicating the transcendent status of this place. A delicate fragrance wafted through the air, refreshing and invigorating. This was the back mountain of Dragon Tiger Mountain, the ancestral hall of generations of Ancestors. Few disciples dared to enter, for this was the most revered forbidden ground of Dragon Tiger Mountain. 0

Only a select few with exceptional status, like Ning Suwen, were allowed to enter; all others were forbidden. 0

Those who intruded would face death. 0

Ning Suwen lit a stick of sandalwood incense and placed it on the altar. His expression was serene, embodying an ethereal presence. The altar was dedicated to the tablets of the Ancestors of Dragon Tiger Mountain. Ever since the last incident when a woman from the Wei Family desecrated the Ancestors' remains, Ning Suwen had regarded it as a great humiliation. He personally guarded the spirits of the Ancestors and vowed to remain indoors unless absolutely necessary. 0

As the leader, Ning Suwen could afford to stay secluded, which meant that significant decisions within the sect naturally required his judgment. Thus, this place gradually became the highest authority for decision-making in Dragon Tiger Mountain. 0

The sound of footsteps echoed closer, soft yet cautious as if afraid to disturb something. However, it could not escape Ning Suwen's ears. Without turning his head, he knelt on the mat and asked, "Have you brought it?" 0

A respectful male voice replied from behind, "Thanks to the blessings of our Ancestors, Xu Wen has fulfilled his duty." 0

"That's good." Ning Suwen slowly stood up, exuding a commanding presence that made Xu Wen feel almost too intimidated to look up. 0

"Give it to me." Ning Suwen turned to face Xu Wen and Lin Lingsu, who stood nearby with their hands at their sides. 0

Xu Wen carefully took out a yellow package from his robe and cautiously unwrapped it. Layer upon layer concealed its contents until he finally revealed a red orb-like object that glowed beautifully. 0

Ning Suwen glanced at it and asked, "Is this the Undying Bone?" 0

Xu Wen nodded and said, "If I am mistaken, Xu Wen is willing to pay with his life." 0

Ning Suwen nodded in acknowledgment, a look of satisfaction in his eyes. "Xu Wen is always diligent in his work; I trust you." He then turned his gaze to Lin Lingsu and asked, "Lin, what about your item?" 0

Lin Lingsu quickly replied, "I have already made progress. The Blood Corpse is indeed in Yang Na's possession. I will set out soon to retrieve it personally. Once I have both the Undying Bone and Blood Corpse combined, we will secure a major victory." 0

Ning Suwen smiled and exhaled softly. "This is perhaps the most uplifting news I've heard in a while. It seems Dragon Tiger Mountain truly relies on you both. After you handle this matter well, you should stay on the mountain and refrain from wandering around. I'm getting older; I might as well guard our esteemed masters here and atone for some of my sins." 0

Lin Lingsu couldn't help but show a hint of joy in her eyes as she respectfully replied, "Yes." 0

Ning Suwen waved at Xu Suwen and said, "Alright, let me take a look at that thing, the Undying Bone from the Wei Family. It's said to be extraordinary, and I want to see it for myself." 0

"Sure," Xu Suwen stepped forward and respectfully handed the Undying Bone to Ning Suwen. Ning Suwen held it in her hands, examining it closely. Suddenly, her expression changed dramatically as she exclaimed, "Ah!" 0

Ning Suwen quickly threw the Undying Bone to the ground, as if it had burned her hands. 0

But it was too late. A black lightning bolt shot out from the Undying Bone, exploding like a swarm of ants and instantly engulfing Ning Suwen's entire arm. It swiftly burrowed beneath her skin, causing her body to tremble. The poison that had entered her body began to swell like small mounds, rapidly moving toward Ning Suwen's heart. 0

"Eternal Corpse Tortoise!" Ning Suwen's face turned pale as dizziness washed over her. It felt as if thousands of insects were crawling inside her. She hastily drew symbols in the air and began to tap her already numb right arm. 0

"It's useless. This is the Eternal Corpse Tortoise; it has lived within human bodies for tens of thousands of years, feeding on the internal organs of the dead. It has already begun to gnaw at your insides; you are beyond saving." Lin Lingsu spoke flatly, as if casually chatting with an acquaintance, watching Ning Suwen's actions with a mocking expression. 0

"Why? Why are you doing this?" Ning Suwen shouted hoarsely. Sounds of hissing began to emerge from her body, resembling the sound of flesh being devoured. 0

"Lin Lingsu, I treated you like family; why do you repay kindness with malice?" Ning Suwen's face was ashen. 0

"Why?" Lin Lingsu coldly observed Ning Suwen's struggles, which seemed meaningless in her eyes. "I don't ask how my father died back then, yet you question me? Ning Suwen, don't you think your question is rather childish?" 0

Ning Suwen looked at Lin Lingsu with eyes nearly bleeding from rage and spat out, "So you knew all along." Her gaze then fixed on Xu Suwen. "It must have been you who told her!" 0

Xu Suwen sighed and replied, "You forced my hand. I never intended to harm you, but if I don't kill you now, you will surely kill me. One must look out for oneself; I hope you can understand." 0

"Fine. Fine, fine," Ning Suwen repeated the word three times with a bitter smile. "I never expected that in my lifetime, I would raise a tiger only to be schemed against by the two people I trusted most..." 0

Lin Lingsu looked up and murmured, "The two people I trust the most... it seems my father once said this to you. Look up; he’s watching. Keep your voice down, don’t disturb my conversation with my father." 0

"If I had known you would be like this, I should have eliminated you back then!" 0

"Eliminate? Why didn’t you do it back then?" Lin Lingsu seemed to be talking to Ning Suwen, yet also to herself. Suddenly, Lin Lingsu's gaze sharpened, a fierce light piercing into Ning Suwen's heart. "If I had known it would come to this, why did I wait until now? It’s too late! Now it’s my turn to eliminate you!" 0

With a fierce shout, Lin Lingsu conjured the Seven Star Sword in her hand, its blade shining like a stream of autumn water as it aimed directly at Ning Suwen's heart. 0

"Buzz!" The sword emitted a clear ringing sound, and Lin Lingsu's movement faltered. The sword did not pierce Ning Suwen's chest as she had imagined; instead, it was caught firmly between Ning Suwen's hands. 0

Their eyes met, and Lin Lingsu involuntarily shivered. 0

With a flick of his finger, Ning Suwen caused Lin Lingsu to tremble uncontrollably as the sword shattered into several pieces. The clattering sound echoed on the ground like the tolling of a death knell, striking at Lin Lingsu's heart. 0

At that moment, the expression on Lin Lingsu's face was no longer one of panic or despair but rather one of ferocity, cold as a venomous snake. 0

Ning Suwen stared intently at Lin Lingsu and spoke each word deliberately: 0

"You think you’re worthy?" 0
