The chaotic slaughter happened swiftly, and it ended just as quickly.
When the tide of Zombies surged into the area, all the human Survivors let out screams of Madness and terror.
They abandoned their attack on Chu Donglin, rushing towards the entrance of the zone, trying to form a solid defense to repel the Zombies.
However, under the terrifying power of the Second-Stage White Wolf, all resistance from the Survivors became futile.
Moreover, besides the alerted Second-Stage White Wolf, there were many First-Stage Mutated Zombies in the Zombie Sea.
These Mutated Zombies might have been weak against Chu Donglin, but they posed no challenge to these ordinary humans.
The human Survivors' defenses were torn apart in an instant, as countless Mutated Zombies surged into the crowd, their sharp claws unleashing a bloody massacre.
The collapsing defense shattered the Survivors' fighting spirit completely, causing them to turn and flee.
Yet, turning their backs to the Zombies only welcomed an even more horrific slaughter.
Like a sickle cutting through wheat, human Survivors fell one after another, blood splattering everywhere, severed arms flying through the air.
In less than ten minutes, the once lively square transformed into a scene reminiscent of hell, with countless twisted corpses sprawled on the ground, devoured by the ravenous Zombies in a state of Madness.
And that White Wolf, standing out among them, stepped over a sea of bodies, slowly making its way toward the balcony where Chu Donglin stood.
Its towering figure loomed high, its head level with the second floor, cold eyes locking onto Chu Donglin's gaze.
“Roar!!!”
Amidst the Fury of the Roar, the presence of the Zombie King spread unabashedly across the square. Countless Zombies raised their heads in unison, letting out roars of submission, pledging their allegiance to their king.
On the balcony, the girl froze for a moment, fear flickering in her eyes.
Instinctively, she shrank back, stunned by the sight of so many Zombies roaring together before her.
However, when the massive White Wolf let out its roar, the man beside her wore a calm smile and stepped forward steadily.
Below in the square, countless Zombies roared and howled. Yet when Chu Donglin boldly unleashed his own aura, all the Zombies felt as if someone had gripped their throats; their roars were abruptly choked back.
They looked in terror at the Second-Stage Zombie on the balcony and then at the enormous White Wolf in the square, completely unprepared for the simultaneous appearance of two Second-Stage Zombies.
As countless Zombies glanced around, a faint smile appeared on Chu Donglin's face as he regarded the proud White Wolf standing in the square.
“I was wondering when you would show up. I didn’t expect you to rush here so eagerly to meet your end… Ha… If I let you escape today, I might as well give up.”
With Chu Donglin's light laughter, the White Wolf emitted a low growl. Its gaze was filled with deep darkness.
Even with its not-so-high intelligence, it had long memorized the appearance and aura of this Second-Stage Zombie. There was no way it could be mistaken.
At that moment, Chu Donglin’s brazen presence ignited the fury within it. The White Wolf let out a furious roar and its massive body soared into the air.
Boom—
With a loud crash, as White Wolf leaped into the air, the floor beneath it could no longer withstand its immense weight and power, shattering instantly as cracks spread out like a Web.
The massive body, as large as a truck, did not appear clumsy; instead, it moved with terrifying agility, lunging straight at Chu Donglin.
Such a tremendous weight combined with its fearsome striking force could easily shatter the concrete exterior of an entire building.
However, when White Wolf charged forward, Chu Donglin wore a confident smile, showing no intention of dodging.
As White Wolf soared into the air, its enormous tail thrashing behind it, a shadow suddenly burst forth from the darkness of the area.
“Roar!!!”
In the chilling Fury of its Roar, the creature covered in Tentacle lunged at White Wolf mid-air, its numerous Tentacles whipping out simultaneously to ensnare the airborne beast tightly.
Caught off guard, White Wolf let out an angry Roar, struggling in Madness to tear away the Tentacles binding it.
Yet, without any leverage in mid-air, it could not exert its true strength and could only watch helplessly as the many Tentacles wrapped around its body yanked it down forcefully.
Boom—
With a tremendous sound, just as White Wolf had taken flight, it was pulled down from the sky by the sudden appearance of the Tentacle Monster, crashing heavily onto the plaza.
The concrete ground was smashed into a large crater while White Wolf’s massive body crushed several unsuspecting Ordinary Zombies into pulp.
At that moment when White Wolf hit the ground, Chu Donglin had already leaped off the third-floor balcony.
The sharp blades of two Machetes danced in his hands, fueled by the power of his Ability, granting them immense momentum that even propelled his body in a whirlwind of Madness. From a distance, he appeared as a spinning scythe, slicing through the air.
The fierce wind howled, Cold Light radiated everywhere, and amidst the White Wolf's mournful cries, the two rapidly rotating Machetes plunged deep into its flesh.
Chu Donglin exerted force to pull out the Machetes, ready to strike again when an overwhelming force knocked him off balance.
Amidst the splattering blood of Madness, the White Wolf let out a pained howl and instantly went berserk.
Its Blood-red Eyes were filled with vengeful fury as its massive body thrashed violently. With a powerful shake of its enormous head, it sent Chu Donglin flying while also breaking free from several Tentacles that had ensnared it.
However, from the severed Tentacles gushed not blood but a strange yellowish substance, teeming with horrifying corrosiveness.
As this yellow liquid splattered against the White Wolf's pristine white fur, it corroded its coat into a pitiful state, leaving it riddled with wounds.
Moreover, the liquid continued to eat away at its skin; visibly, several holes had formed in the White Wolf's once tough hide, blood gushing forth from them.
In unbearable agony, the White Wolf grew even more Fury.
It thrashed in Madness, one claw shattering the Tentacle wrapped around it, allowing the splattering yellow liquid to corrode its body as it lunged at Chu Donglin with pure hatred.
Yet behind the White Wolf, the Tentacle Zombie controlled by Chu Donglin was not about to give up so easily. Under Chu Donglin's forceful command, it let out a reluctant Roar and lunged toward the White Wolf.
At the same time, Tentacles shot forth; the few remaining Tentacles wrapped around the White Wolf's body, restraining its furious assault.
At the edge of the square, Chu Donglin, having been knocked away by the White Wolf, crashed through several wooden pillars and was now struggling to crawl out of an ornamental pool.
Soaked from the pool water, with a few green lotus leaves draped over his body, Chu Donglin shook the water off his head and threw two machetes toward the struggling White Wolf, which was several dozen meters away.
Under the influence of his telekinetic ability, the machetes spun rapidly, but their target was not the White Wolf; instead, they aimed for the Second-Stage Tentacle Monster he had under control.
The sharp machetes plunged heavily into the Tentacle Monster's body. The Second-Stage Zombie let out a painful scream as corrosive yellow blood gushed forth, splattering all over the nearby White Wolf.
With its fur and body severely corroded and injured, the White Wolf's struggles and cries intensified.
However, despite the self-destructive assault from the Second-Stage Tentacle Zombie, it could not break free from the tentacles' grip and could only roll around in madness on the spot.
This Second-Stage Tentacle Zombie was one that Chu Donglin had encountered last night. During their battle, he realized its unique ability to counterbalance the White Wolf.
Thus, he exerted considerable effort to injure it and forcibly subdued the creature to use against the White Wolf.
What he did not expect was how quickly the White Wolf would strike back.
Yet compared to the White Wolf, which was being continuously corroded by yellow blood, perhaps the controlled Second-Stage Tentacle Monster was suffering even more.
Not only did it have to endure the excruciating pain of its body being torn apart, but it also faced relentless torment under the scorching sun.
Even though it was under Chu Donglin's control, its mental power surged with madness, attempting to resist his commands.
After all, the sunlight was an unbearable agony for all Second-Stage Zombies.
As the White Wolf's fur was corroded significantly, its situation became increasingly dire.
Not only was it severely injured, but it was also being directly scorched by the sun, with a terrifying enemy, Chu Donglin, nearby...
In the White Wolf's blood-red eyes, filled with rage, it had no choice but to prepare for escape. It struggled in madness, desperately attacking the Second-Stage Tentacle Monster that bound it.
Under Chu Donglin's control, the Second-Stage Tentacle Monster relentlessly restrained the White Wolf, showing no signs of resistance. Soon, it was torn and clawed into an unrecognizable form by the White Wolf.
In less than a minute, the White Wolf broke free from the now-silent Second-Stage Tentacle Monster and dragged its battered body in an attempt to flee.
However, Chu Donglin had already simulated this battle plan countless times; there was no way he would let it escape so easily.
Several ropes flew out from the backpack behind Chu Donglin and directly ensnared the fleeing White Wolf, causing it to stumble and fall heavily to the ground.
At the same time, Chu Donglin leaped forward, barehanded, landing on top of the White Wolf and striking its head with madness.
Before long, the once-mighty White Wolf was beaten into a near-unconscious state by Chu Donglin and could no longer struggle. (To be continued...)
