The bullet pierced through mermaid's chest, blood flowing from between the scales. It looked pained, then suddenly raised its arm.
In that moment, Hiroshi suddenly noticed the silver bracelet on the arm, which their mother had made for the two brothers. He immediately rushed to mermaid's side and removed the earplugs.
"Brother, are you really my brother?" Hiroshi's voice trembled.

Hiroshi returned to the beach with Shinichi's body, intending to bury Shinichi with his parents.
The silver moon is reflected on the black sea, Hiroshi slowly walks to the village wall holding Shinichi's body. The body has started to smell, attracting a swarm of fist-sized flies buzzing. These flies mostly grow up eating dead fish and rotten shrimp by the sea, and are very large in size.
Hiroshi waved the torch in disgust, driving away the flies. He slowly lowered Shinichi's body and whispered, "Brother, let's go home."
As soon as he finished speaking, countless scorching hot harpoons fell from above. Hiroshi raised his hand to protect Shinichi's body, and the harpoon pierced Hiroshi's back, but it wasn't overly painful.

He picked up Shinichi's body again and walked into the dark seawater, completely disappearing beneath the surface of the sea.
The next day, Hiroshi appeared alone on the shallow beach, with fish scales spreading up to his neck.
The backpack filled with explosives lay quietly on the raft. Hiroshi walked over and began assembling the explosives again, burying them all the way from the beach to underneath the wall. Hiroshi's eyes were completely bloodshot as he felt the fishy sea breeze and pressed the remote control.
At that moment, a deafening explosion erupted, causing the earth to shake and the surrounding area to tremble. Explosives went off one after another, creating a massive trench on the beach and causing the seawall to collapse with a resounding crash. The sea water rushed in rapidly, surging towards the village.
Countless bizarre giant fish, shrimp, and crabs also leaped out of the water, latching onto the heads of the fleeing villagers and beginning to bite. For a moment, the village echoed with screams as flames shot into the sky...

Shinichi's body was covered in countless flies hatching from the rotting flesh, leaving behind only the giant fish's spine.
The seawater flooded the graves of Hiroshi's and Shinichi's parents. Hiroshi dug up the graves and placed Shinichi's bones inside, then the seawater quickly submerged them.
As Hiroshi lay in the seawater of the grave, a mermaid swam by. It was the girl whose head Hiroshi had smashed in, her chin and mouth already torn off.
"What are you doing here? Don't come and disturb us," Hiroshi said coldly.
The girl giggled, "You lost."
"What does it mean?"
The girl took out a bracelet and shook it, saying, "Fool, don't you understand? What you buried is just the skeleton of a mermaid. You, you were just intentionally infected by me. Whether in the human world or the mermaid world, you are just a pawn. Your brother was actually eaten by me back then. I still have his face. I knew it would be useful."
