I barely had time to draw my weapon alongside Dong Tong when I noticed the Grave Guardian charging at us like an arrow released from a bow! Before I could think, it lunged straight for my shoulder and bit down with a speed that sent waves of pain coursing through me. Blood stained the water around me!
"It looks like I have to be ruthless!" I shouted as I drew the Azure Dark Sword and charged at the beast, aiming a fierce strike at its head.
Clang!
Bang! Bang! A series of loud sounds echoed as an immense force jolted through my hands!
I felt the Azure Dark Sword slightly catch, the blade vibrating and causing ripples in the water. The sword bent backward at a thirty-degree angle before snapping back. The force from the Reincarnation nearly made me lose grip on the sword! The Tomb Guardian Beast shook its head violently, sending Dong Tong and me flying back several meters with a wave of water!
Seizing this moment, we quickly surfaced, gasping for air.
Behind us, a massive creature continued its relentless pursuit. We dared not relax; somehow, I found the strength to spread my arms and spin like a windmill, covering ten meters in half the usual time. Just then, a wave surged behind us—the creature would not let us escape easily.
On the shore, Big Mouth Lee shouted, "What the hell is that? Summer Heart behind you..." Bald Qiang also yelled out and fired several shots at the beast.
When I swam into shallower water, I turned back to look. There was no sign of the creature—had it been startled by that last shot?
I refused to believe it would run away!

We six or so swam deeper into the water; it grew colder as we descended. After a while, we gradually spotted a massive cavern at the bottom of the pool, shrouded in darkness. We hurried toward the light and felt a strong current sweep us forward; indeed, it led us into a cave.
This was an open cavern visible from afar; its entrance was about a meter wide and occasionally sucked in yellow sand. Amidst this vast sea of sand, finding such a cave felt miraculous.
The air inside this cavern was particularly fresh, unlike most caves where the stench could be suffocating. The pool wasn't very large; several Chinook Salmon swam within it. These Chinook Salmon were two or three meters long but surprisingly did not attack us—perhaps they were already full!
One by one, we climbed ashore and surveyed our surroundings. The further we moved from the exit, the more conical the interior became. "Look up! There's a rifle hanging from above with a rope attached to it; however, it seems like a large part of it is broken!" Bald Qiang's keen eyes spotted it first. Upon closer inspection, I confirmed it was indeed a rifle.
In the cave, several large stones blocked the entrance. We stepped inside, and the darkness enveloped us. On the ground lay three twisted creatures: one resembled a human, while the other two were strange, with long, thin legs. The tomb chamber looked as if it had been scorched by a great fire.
This was a typical burial chamber, seemingly burned by Dragon Fire Glazed Dome. Not far away stood a Tomb Gate, and we activated the mechanism. To our surprise, the door opened, revealing another cavern. It felt familiar; I thought I had been here before!
Suddenly, I felt a gust of wind above my head…
“Something doesn’t feel right!”
“What are you talking about?”
We raised our mining lamps and shone them into the air. The ceiling was densely packed with bats, sending chills down my spine. Dong Tong let out a startled cry, and I thought to myself, “This fearless girl is actually scared of bats!” Her scream startled a creature that flew down from above.
The "monster" was covered in black fur and had a pig-like face, with two long tusks protruding from its mouth and red eyes. It swooped down with a flapping sound.
“Oh my god!”
Big Mouth Lee pointed his flashlight at the distant wall of the cavern, revealing even more terrifying sights. His voice rose several decibels as he screamed, “Why are there so many of these things?”
His shout startled the Pig-Faced Bats on the opposite wall of the cavern. In an instant, they all turned their heads toward us, countless crimson eyes staring back…
