I barely had time to draw my weapon alongside Dong Tong when I noticed the Grave Guardian charging at us like an arrow released from a bow! Before I could think, it lunged straight for my shoulder and bit down with a speed that sent waves of pain coursing through me. Blood stained the water around me! 0

"It looks like I have to be ruthless!" I shouted as I drew the Azure Dark Sword and charged at the beast, aiming a fierce strike at its head. 0

Clang! 0

Bang! Bang! A series of loud sounds echoed as an immense force jolted through my hands! 0

I felt the Azure Dark Sword slightly catch, the blade vibrating and causing ripples in the water. The sword bent backward at a thirty-degree angle before snapping back. The force from the Reincarnation nearly made me lose grip on the sword! The Tomb Guardian Beast shook its head violently, sending Dong Tong and me flying back several meters with a wave of water! 0

Seizing this moment, we quickly surfaced, gasping for air. 0

Behind us, a massive creature continued its relentless pursuit. We dared not relax; somehow, I found the strength to spread my arms and spin like a windmill, covering ten meters in half the usual time. Just then, a wave surged behind us—the creature would not let us escape easily. 0

On the shore, Big Mouth Lee shouted, "What the hell is that? Summer Heart behind you..." Bald Qiang also yelled out and fired several shots at the beast. 0

When I swam into shallower water, I turned back to look. There was no sign of the creature—had it been startled by that last shot? 0

I refused to believe it would run away! 0

In this Water Area, it was the king! 0

Such a creature would never let any intruder into its tomb go unpunished; it was undoubtedly seeking revenge and planning another attack on us. No predator would pass up an opportunity for prey, and this principle applied just as much to the Tomb Guardian Beast. 0

It was definitely looking for another chance to strike! 0

At that moment, I suddenly realized that something was tugging at my foot again, feeling like a mass of water plants wrapping around me in circles. "Xia, do you feel anything unusual underwater?" "Damn it, are there really water plants in this water?" "No, this definitely isn't a water ghost! On the count of three, let's dive underwater together!" 0

When she shouted "three," we both plunged into the water. I caught a glimpse of Zhengyang and the others above the surface; their faces had turned pale, and it seemed they were planning to jump in as well. As I submerged, the sight before me sent chills down my spine, raising goosebumps all over my body. A face was staring right at me, and I was so scared I nearly lost control. 0

What kind of face was it? Beneath long hair resembling water plants, there was a face devoid of features, pale as death and swollen like a giant. This corpse had been submerged for at least seven or eight days, earning it the nickname "River Fatty," and it was utterly disgusting. Its ghastly white hands gripped us tightly; the scene was terrifying... 0

Dong Tong saw only its back, with long hair flowing down. Its hair wrapped around our legs as if it had taken root. Dong Tong smiled slightly, which struck me as eerie! "What the hell? How can you still smile when we’re facing a water ghost?" I watched as she pulled out a dagger and chopped off all the hair. Wherever the dagger went, the hair retracted as if it were a snake flaunting its tail. 0

Hah! It seemed this water ghost wasn't very powerful. I drew my own dagger from my boot; wherever the blade shone, the hair was severed. I didn't care about how disgusting it was; I grabbed its neck and thrust towards its abdomen with all my might. Gritting my teeth, each stab pierced through its back. In such a life-and-death situation, who cared about righteousness? 0

Dong Tong and I took turns stabbing that ghost's back with dozens of strikes. It let out a terrible scream and darted away like a fish. We wouldn't let it escape. "Damn it! With such low skills, how dare you show up here? If I don't take you down, who will I take down?" "Xia, don’t chase..." A voice came from somewhere; it sounded like Dong Tong. As I pondered over it, realization struck me—could this be the Corpse Ghost of the Tomb Guardian Beast? I grabbed Dong Tong and burst out of the water's surface, swimming towards the shore... 0

Big Mouth Lee and Bald Qiang were already swimming towards us, while Zhengyang and Uncorrupted Bones were watching from the shore. Everyone helped us up onto dry land. Dong Tong quickly said, "This place is dangerous; since that thing dared to attack once, it will surely strike again!" 0

"Xia, you really have some skills; I almost thought you were done for... I was just about to jump in to save you..." Initially, I held some resentment towards Big Mouth Lee, but later when they also jumped into the water in such a dangerous area, I felt quite moved... I was filled with curiosity about how Dong Tong managed to escape: "Sister Dong, how did you get rid of that thing?" 0

"I don't really understand either; that thing seemed afraid of my blood. Once it touched it, it spun wildly in circles!" When she explained this, I finally understood why it had circled around me twice before fleeing. "I took the chance to float up for air and noticed about ten meters ahead there were whirlpools and waves! I guessed you all had come to rescue me!" No wonder when I looked at the beast earlier, I hadn't seen her figure. "When I swam over, I found you entangled by the water ghost! You know what happened next!" Then I briefly recounted what had happened afterward. 0

"Wow! After observing for a while, I've realized this hidden channel connects to the underground passage of the Nine Fiendish Yin Tomb. According to the layout of this tomb, we can smoothly reach the Nine-Tiered Corpse Tower through these waterways!" 0

The Mausoleum Secrets recorded that the Nine Deadly Tombs had channels connecting deep underground that could easily be confused with regular underground waters; even the most precise compass would struggle to detect them. Who would have thought we stumbled into this place by accident? Finding the Killing Intent chamber in Uncorrupted Bones' golden coffin seems to make sense now. 0

"So we should follow the waterway?" 0

At that moment, Dong Tong also stood up and smiled, "Although you are an expert in feng shui, Zhengyang, we don't know what other demons might be in this river. Can I really make it out safely? In my opinion, we should return to the surface!" 0

"No way!" 0

"Isn't it fine? Just follow my route!" Dong Tong displayed her strong-willed demeanor, and true to her character, she would not give up easily. 0

"No! Following your route will delay Xia's deadline!" 0

"Heh heh! But I'm the financier!" I sensed something was off in her tone; my intuition told me she seemed to know the paths here. "Sister Dong, can you share your thoughts?" 0

"At least you have some sense! Right where the Tomb Guardian Beast appeared earlier, there seems to be a hidden channel at the bottom. If I'm not mistaken, that must lead us to the next Cursed Tomb!" 0

"But that ferocious beast is not easy to deal with! Sister Dong, let's listen to Zhengyang..." Big Mouth Lee shrank back slightly, his voice tinged with fear. "Just follow my lead; I know the way!" 0

A penny can defeat a hero; when it comes to money, I had to concede. After all, I couldn't afford the costs of this "expedition." I smiled and tried to persuade everyone. Zhengyang sighed, "This is a perilous path; I'm worried about you..." His tone was like that of an elder advising a younger one, filled with concern. "Alright! This could be a shortcut worth trying!" Zhengyang finally spoke up, and despite their reluctance, Bald Qiang and Big Mouth Lee had no choice but to fall silent. 0

Plop, plop... 0

With some trepidation, I jumped into the water. Everyone else, including Uncorrupted Bones, followed suit into the pool. In the distance, a figure moved about, watching us closely but hesitant to approach. 0

We six or so swam deeper into the water; it grew colder as we descended. After a while, we gradually spotted a massive cavern at the bottom of the pool, shrouded in darkness. I thought to myself, "Could that be the hidden channel?" We entered in single file and swam about twenty meters when suddenly our surroundings brightened. We hurried toward the light and felt a strong current sweep us forward; indeed, it led us into a cave. 0

This was an open cavern visible from afar; its entrance was about a meter wide and occasionally sucked in yellow sand. Amidst this vast sea of sand, finding such a cave felt miraculous. 0

The air inside this cavern was particularly fresh, unlike most caves where the stench could be suffocating. The pool wasn't very large; several Chinook Salmon swam within it. These Chinook Salmon were two or three meters long but surprisingly did not attack us—perhaps they were already full! 0

One by one, we climbed ashore and surveyed our surroundings. The further we moved from the exit, the more conical the interior became. "Look up! There's a rifle hanging from above with a rope attached to it; however, it seems like a large part of it is broken!" Bald Qiang's keen eyes spotted it first. Upon closer inspection, I confirmed it was indeed a rifle. 0

In the cave, several large stones blocked the entrance. We stepped inside, and the darkness enveloped us. On the ground lay three twisted creatures: one resembled a human, while the other two were strange, with long, thin legs. The tomb chamber looked as if it had been scorched by a great fire. 0

This was a typical burial chamber, seemingly burned by Dragon Fire Glazed Dome. Not far away stood a Tomb Gate, and we activated the mechanism. To our surprise, the door opened, revealing another cavern. It felt familiar; I thought I had been here before! 0

Suddenly, I felt a gust of wind above my head… 0

“Something doesn’t feel right!” 0

“What are you talking about?” 0

We raised our mining lamps and shone them into the air. The ceiling was densely packed with bats, sending chills down my spine. Dong Tong let out a startled cry, and I thought to myself, “This fearless girl is actually scared of bats!” Her scream startled a creature that flew down from above. 0

The "monster" was covered in black fur and had a pig-like face, with two long tusks protruding from its mouth and red eyes. It swooped down with a flapping sound. 0

“Oh my god!” 0

Big Mouth Lee pointed his flashlight at the distant wall of the cavern, revealing even more terrifying sights. His voice rose several decibels as he screamed, “Why are there so many of these things?” 0

His shout startled the Pig-Faced Bats on the opposite wall of the cavern. In an instant, they all turned their heads toward us, countless crimson eyes staring back… 0
