The Dong Family's plan to pick up the God of Joy at seven o'clock remained unchanged. However, due to some incidents during the night, people began to arrive only after six-thirty. The butler of the Dong Mansion, Huang Jianqiang, drove to the Dong Family villa early in the morning. Upon seeing the villa's doors wide open and the duty room empty, he felt a surge of annoyance. Approaching the villa, he found a group of security guards fumbling around like blind men, which made him furious. He shouted loudly. 0

“Bastards! What are you all doing?” His roar jolted twenty or thirty security guards out of their stupor. They exchanged glances, and upon seeing the butler, they were terrified. The middle-aged man named Li Gen, the head of security, hurried over and exclaimed to Huang Jianqiang, “Butler Huang, we encountered something strange!” 0

“Nonsense! It’s broad daylight; how could you encounter something strange?” 0

“A brazen guy in a golden car just stood outside the security room. Suddenly, a white mist surrounded us, and it felt like we walked into a maze. If it weren't for your shout of justice, we would still be lost in that fog!” Li Gen thought to himself, “Hmph! If I don’t push this responsibility onto that bastard, who else can I blame?” 0

“Take me to where that guy stood!” 0

Li Gen pointed at the entrance of the security room but hesitated to approach. Huang Jianqiang shot him a glance and walked outside the security room. He crouched down to examine closely and slapped his thigh in realization. “Not good! We’ve encountered someone extraordinary!” He noticed that the mist had formed a pattern using fish bones shaped like a hexagram, with an enchantment symbol drawn in the center. Alarmed, he thought, “Isn’t this Soul Enchantment? Luckily, that expert showed mercy!” Having pieced together most of it in his mind, he turned to Li Gen. 0

“Was there a guy with yellow hair delivering something around six-thirty?” 0

Li Gen assumed this news had reached the butler and boasted, “You know about this too? Yes, there was such a thing, but I saw through him immediately. He pretended to deliver goods but was actually here to disrupt the Dong Family's feng shui.” 0

“If you mess up the Dong Family's auspicious time, you better pray for yourself! It’s six thirty-five now; if you can’t catch that driver before seven, get lost!” Li Gen stood there scratching his head in confusion, still trying to process everything. 0

At around six forty, over thirty luxury cars entered the villa one after another. People of all ages arrived—about a hundred in total—none wearing red clothing; all looked haggard, with several close relatives even showing tear-streaked faces. Seeing this situation made even a fool realize what was happening. Li Gen cursed inwardly, “Oh no! I truly failed to recognize something significant; they are indeed here for the God of Joy!” In a panic, he pulled out his phone and called an elderly man to get my number before hastily dialing me. 0

After confirming the address with urgency, Li Gen grabbed a security guard and rode an electric bike over as fast as they could manage. I was there to deliver the God of Joy; if the time came and no one came after him, I would still take him back myself. At this moment, waiting by the roadside was just anticipating their pursuit. 0

“Brother-in-law, should we chase after that guy and give him a beating?” 0

“Forget about it; I’m about to lose my mind; don’t expect anything good from him either!” 0

When Li Gen and the security guard saw me approaching, they rushed over trembling and nearly crying. “Master! Please come back with me quickly! Just now, I managed to stop them in time; it was all these idiots causing trouble!” The security guard was stunned by how quickly things had changed. I thought to myself, “You were just jumping around earlier; now you’re acting all innocent!” I gave a cold smile without saying anything further and thought, “I have plenty of time; let’s see how long you can keep this up.” 0

Li Gen was drenched in sweat as he approached behind the security guard and kicked him down before kneeling himself with a thud. He began wailing loudly while crying profusely. “I have an eighty-year-old mother above me and a three-year-old child below me; I also have forty years left on my mortgage! My whole family relies on me for survival. Please show mercy!” He then turned towards the security guard and shouted angrily, “You idiot! Kneel down!” The guard was clearly terrified and kept banging his head on the ground until blood flowed down. 0

"Get in the car, let's go!" I only wanted to teach him a lesson, not to make things difficult. 0

Li Gen wiped the sweat from his forehead, immediately breaking into a smile as he sniffled and cheerfully sat on the security guard's electric vehicle, leading the way. The car returned to Dong Mansion, and it was already six fifty-eight. 0

As we drove into Hukou Village, we saw a long line of cars. At some point, flower wreaths made of fresh flowers had been placed at the village entrance. Dozens of filial sons and virtuous grandsons, clad in thick mourning garments, lined up according to the five stages of mourning. When they saw my car arrive at the mansion, the two rows of people knelt down and began to wail loudly. 0

From the village entrance to Dong Mansion, the path was filled with people dressed in black. It was strange; there hadn’t been a single person in sight when I arrived in the morning, and now, just over twenty minutes later, there was such a large crowd. 0

I drove into Dong Mansion and saw more than ten men in ceremonial attire carrying a coffin into the mourning hall. Huang Jianqiang took out a bundle of money; I counted and estimated it to be over a hundred thousand. Whatever happens next is none of our business. I drove the car outside the village; after staying up all night until now, both Huang Mao and I were tired, so we parked under a big tree and fell into a deep sleep. 0

I was awakened by a commotion at some point. Three or four dozen luxury cars rushed out of the village, with over a hundred people running out in panic. Some even lost their shoes and didn’t bother to pick them up. Seeing this scene made my heart skip a beat—had something happened? 0

Sure enough, I saw Li Gen running over with that security guard, looking flustered and pale as he stammered, "M-Master, it's bad! The old man is alive!" I couldn't help but laugh at this news. "This is an incredibly rare good thing; why are you panicking?" 0

"It's not that kind of alive; it's... it's a corpse fraud! Master, you must come take a look!" Hearing this made me furious. A corpse fraud? I was puzzled. "The old man has a blessed appearance; I’ve seen the body—it was indeed peaceful in death without any resentment. How could there be a corpse fraud?" But I replied, "Let’s go see!" 0

Huang Mao refused to return upon hearing about the corpse fraud; he insisted on staying behind to watch the car. I took my Azure Dark Sword and Master Copper Seal and got back on the security guard's electric vehicle. Along the way, many panicked people rushed out; every face looked terrified. 0

When we arrived at the courtyard, members of the Dong Family—young and old—were so frightened they knelt on the ground, banging their heads repeatedly; several had fainted from fear. Only one woman around twenty-six or twenty-seven stood there staring at the old man, saying, "Grandpa! Is there something you can't let go of?" The security guard introduced her as Dong Tong, the old man's beloved granddaughter. 0

I stood before the mourning hall, carefully observing Old Dong. He was holding a live chicken and gnawing on it with feathers and blood everywhere. His mouth was dripping with blood, and his eyes seemed clouded with red mist. This didn’t seem like Old Dong; something must have possessed him. 0

I formed a hand gesture and recited an incantation to open my eyes. Once I looked closer, I was stunned. That wasn’t Old Dong at all! Sitting in the mourning hall was a thin, dark-skinned man with a greenish complexion; half his head was smashed in with a steel bar piercing through his shoulder and exiting from his abdomen. He clutched the live chicken and continued gnawing on it while occasionally letting out strange laughs. 0

"This isn't your old man!" 0

"Ah!" Upon hearing this, everyone scattered in panic except for a few close relatives and housekeepers along with Li Gen and several security guards who huddled outside trembling. 0

I pulled out my Master Copper Seal and drew my Azure Dark Sword, pointing it at Old Dong as I shouted, "What kind of ghost are you? State your name!" 0

"Debts must be repaid, and lives must be forfeited!" A sharp male voice erupted from Old Dong, startling everyone present. Dong Yitong jumped up in disbelief. 0

"If you're here to collect a debt, then you should go find the right person!" 0

Old Dong had always had a good reputation in Rongcheng, having done many charitable deeds in his lifetime. It was likely that one of his wayward descendants was responsible for this mess, which is why I dared to confront this restless spirit. 0

"Hahaha, kid, I advise you to mind your own business!" Old Dong's gaze was vacant but held an unsettling ferocity. "I suffer so much while they live carefree!" 0

"Get lost, or I'll make you experience Soul Shattering!" I shouted at Old Dong. 0

"Let me show you my true power!" With that, Old Dong suddenly lunged at me, his hands tightening around my neck. The strength in his grip was astonishing, like iron pincers. In just a second or two, my face turned purple as I struggled to breathe and couldn't utter a word. 0

"Damn it! You bastards, get over here!" Huang Jianqiang yelled at the nearby security guards. The guards finally snapped back to reality, trembling in fear. Seven or eight burly men were either clutching their heads or their legs, unable to pry Old Dong off me. 0

To my surprise, Dong Tong also joined the fray with the security guards. I saw her reach under Old Dong's armpit and give it a scratch. Old Dong shuddered slightly and loosened his grip just enough for me to slip away and jump to the side. Even as a ghost, he still retained some of his living habits; it seemed he was indeed ticklish. That girl, Dong Yitong, had guts. 0

This completely enraged Old Dong. He began clawing wildly around the spirit hall, smashing tables and chairs into pieces! 0

A chilling cackle echoed through the air. At some point, he suddenly sprouted a coat of white fur and long fangs that glimmered ominously. His fingers curled into claws as he stared at me intently, poised to pounce. 0
