Knowing that the old man was coming, the Yellow Talisman had proven effective again, and I was aware that the Ghost Infant wouldn't harm me for the time being. This knowledge eased my mind significantly, and I felt less afraid. I glanced up at the Half Immortal, and as our eyes met, I felt a chill run down my spine. I had never seen such a fierce gaze; it felt as if he wanted to swallow me whole. 0

I stole another glance at Lady Ghost Ali. Perhaps out of sympathy for her plight, she didn't seem so menacing after all. 0

"What's wrong? Do you think the old man can save you?" 0

"Master! This child means no harm; let's spare him!" Lady Ghost Ali surprisingly pleaded with the Ghost Infant, which was utterly unbelievable! 0

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" The Ghost Infant said nothing but continued to cackle ominously. 0

"Ali! You have become my Mother of Ghosts. If you let this child go, not only will you be ruined, but I will be finished too! If I obtain his Spirit Yang Body, I can save a thousand years of cultivation!" 0

"Master! We can find another one!" 0

"There is no one else; he is the only one in the entire world!" 0

Listening to their conversation left me utterly confused. It wasn't until later that I realized both of these ghosts were indeed serious. 0

At that moment, footsteps echoed from outside—heavy and growing closer. A deep male voice rang out, "Monster, do not harm my disciple!" In walked a Fat Old Man wearing a Square Hat and an Old-Style Green Robe. A Red Cloth Strip adorned his arm with the words "Exorcise Evil" written on it. He wore a Master Emblem on his chest and held a Secret Tome in one hand while stepping confidently in Liberation Shoes. 0

The old man's appearance left me dumbfounded, my mind racing with a thousand thoughts. This was not how one captured ghosts; it was an absurd spectacle. The old man marched forward, shouting his slogan: "Where there are demons, there are masters!" He pulled out a Peach Wood Sword from his bag, pointed it at the Ghost Infant with a serious expression, and demanded in an interrogative tone: 0

"Name!" 0

"None!" 0

"Age!" 0

"Unknown!" 0

“Criminal Demonic Ghost Child, you incited the female ghost Tang Lili to use cruel methods to murder numerous innocents! Do you plead guilty?” 0

Upon seeing him, I felt a surge of joy, praising the old man for arriving just in time. However, something felt off. How did this old fellow know my address? Where did he learn that the female ghost was named Tang Lili? From his manner of speaking and attire, it was clear he was no enlightened master. 0

“Hmph! Those people deserved to die!” 0

“Deserved to die?” 0

“Alright, I've played along with your little performance long enough; it's time to end this!” The Ghost Infant smirked coldly, and suddenly, Zhou Daming collapsed, falling to the ground and slipping into a deep sleep. 0

Moments later, a chilling wind swept through the room, and a dark haze settled heavily around us, rising from the corners of the hall in swirling black mist. From within the fog emerged a small child with a dark face. The Ghost Infant appeared to be about three or four years old, sporting a topknot. Its pale face showed no signs of life, and its crimson eyes glinted with malice as it fixed its gaze on the old man. It wore nothing but a diaper, one foot bare. 0

“Old man, your time has come!” 0

Upon hearing the Ghost Infant's words, the old man silently handed me the Peach Wood Sword and tossed his bag aside. He rolled up his sleeves and stared at me intently, making me feel uneasy all over. I patted my back to ensure everything was normal and was just about to ask the old man what he had figured out. 0

“Xia! Wait here for a moment; I'll be right back!” 0

With that, the old man left me behind, his pace quickening until he dashed away with an agility that belied his age. I stood there stunned for a moment before cursing inwardly, “What the hell! What’s up with this old man? He slipped away faster than a rabbit!” I had thought he had some skills, but I was sorely disappointed when he ran off like that. 0

Just as I was lost in thought, the Ghost Infant spoke. 0

“Haha! That old fellow is as usual—faster than a rabbit! Who do you expect will save you now?” Hearing this made my heart skip a beat: “As usual? Does that mean it knew the old man from before?” 0

Before long, the old man returned with someone else in tow. The person looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place them! Thanking him again, the old man came back. 0

The two ghosts frowned upon seeing this person and took several steps back. 0

“Lu Jianguo, the success of exorcising the ghost now depends on you!” 0

The once simple-minded Lu Jianguo now seemed like a completely different person. His eyes blazed with fury, and he moved with the grace of a dragon and the power of a tiger. Standing tall and straight, he raised a fist as large as a bowl. As he stepped forward, the Ghost Infant retreated, even forcing the dark mist to dissipate. 0

The flickering lights brightened significantly. Lu Jianguo cornered the Ghost Infant, his overwhelming aura causing it to tremble in fear. He reached out with his rough hand and grabbed the Ghost Infant by its belly band. With swift movements, he struck it repeatedly, causing its head to tilt at odd angles, and the faint remnants of ghostly energy were knocked away. 0

After delivering several more blows, he rendered the Ghost Infant incapacitated. The sounds of chanting from monks and Taoists echoed in its ears. It was as if seven star lamps were lit before him, exorcism lights glowing brightly. Lu Jianguo continued his assault with fervor, lifting one of the Ghost Infant's legs as if it were a chicken and tossing it in front of the old man. 0

The two Evil Spirits were beaten to the point where they nearly knelt in surrender! 0

Evil Spirits are beings burdened by heavy resentment, unable to reincarnate and trapped in the human realm. They must fulfill their wishes and dispel their grievances before they can be reborn. Women who die in red clothing after committing suicide at night become formidable Evil Spirits. If they die while pregnant, they transform into the king of Evil Spirits. Ordinary Taoists and practitioners are generally helpless against them unless they are masters of Real Person level; otherwise, subduing them is nearly impossible. However, compared to the entities I would encounter later in life, these Evil Spirits were truly insignificant! 0

“Hand me the red gourd from my bag!” The old man gestured for me to retrieve his talisman from my backpack. I was momentarily stunned but eventually handed it over. 0

The gourd, whose name sounds like “fortune and prosperity,” has a wide mouth and belly that can absorb positive energy while eliminating negative energy, especially capable of blocking Killing Intent. 0

The old man's red gourd glowed with an inner fire. He raised it high with his left hand while chanting incantations towards Evil Spirit Ali: “Xiu Xu He Xi Chui Hu.” With his right hand extended forward, palm sideways, he pointed with his index finger while curling his thumb against his middle finger and keeping his ring and little fingers tightly together! He formed a single-handed gesture that resembled the character “Zhe”! 0

Evil Spirit Ali let out a shriek as its ghostly form appeared before transforming into black smoke that was drawn into the gourd. The old man quickly sealed it with a lid and placed a yellow talisman inscribed with “Supreme Old Lord’s urgent command” on top. 0

“Wow!” I couldn’t help but exclaim; this was utterly surreal. I had thought only Lin Zhengying could use Mayi Divination, yet here it was being wielded by a strangely dressed Birdman! I rubbed my eyes to ensure I wasn’t dreaming; this was simply unbelievable! 0

But indeed, Evil Spirit Ali was sucked inside just like that… 0

At that moment, the Ghost Infant regained its senses and erupted in fury. Its eyes turned blood-red, blood oozing from the corners. Its left eyebrow stood upright while its right lay flat. Its cheeks puffed up like a toad’s as if filled with balloons! It swung its fists wildly at its own nose, blood pouring forth as black smoke began to seep from its mouth! 0

“What a sight! Is it about to spit fire?” 0

Indeed, the old man's words were far from over. That guy unleashed a burst of fire, burning a large hole in the sofa! If that fire had reached a person, it would have been a disaster for all. 0

The old man and Lu Jianguo exchanged glances, then pulled out a Peach Wood Sword and a copper seal from their bags. They stepped onto the Yubu and moved cautiously to the sides. Just as they were about to strike at the creature, the Ghost Infant transformed into a cloud of black smoke and slipped through the window! 0

"Xia, it's safe now!" 0

The old man sighed in relief, his voice snapping me back to reality from my daze. Cold sweat dripped from his forehead, soaking his Green Robe. Lu Jianguo remarked that it wasn't too serious, indicating that this person's skills were quite formidable, clearly superior to the old man's. 0

Lu Jianguo approached the windowsill, his expression serious as he gazed at the spot where the Ghost Infant had vanished, seemingly deep in thought. "This thing won't let it go easily; this opportunity is too precious for it to pass up. It will stop at nothing!" 0

Hearing this made me freeze; that thing had been after me for quite some time! It was clear there was no way out for me now. I couldn't help but ask, "Do I still have a chance to survive?" 0

"You do!" The old man affirmed. 0

"You must know that you possess a unique constitution known as the Spirit Yang Body, right? I initially thought you could escape disaster after turning twenty-four, but it seems I was mistaken!" A chill ran down my spine as I pondered: "Did this old fellow know about it even before I was born? How many conspiracies are hidden in this?" 0

The so-called Spirit Yang Body is not merely an extremely yang physique. This type of body is suitable for cultivation; in other words, if spells are like electric currents, then the body is the wire. The more refined the wire, the less current is lost. The Spirit Yang Body is precisely this optimal wire. Whether it’s extreme yin or extreme yang, it can achieve the best effect. As for why twenty-four years old was significant, the old man didn't explain, and I had no idea either. 0

"I know someone who might be able to give you a chance at survival!" The old man said earnestly. 0

Upon hearing this, hope surged within me like a drowning person suddenly grasping a life-saving straw; I didn't care who it was! 0
