In a narrow alley not far from the Buddhist Artifact Shop, the master of the Kongming Monk stood watching the scene inside the shop. With his hands clasped together and a solemn expression, he said, "Kongming, whether you can achieve enlightenment depends solely on you." 0

The old monk knew that deep within Kongming's heart lay a lingering desire to kill, yet he had refrained from pointing it out. He understood that to fundamentally eliminate that murderous intent, Kongming had to rely on himself; no one else could help. 0

Inside the Buddhist Artifact Shop, Kongming Monk sprang up from the ground. He tore apart his robe and glared at me with a fierce aura. 0

"You, monk, actually dare to help a monster. I see you've been bewitched by that creature. Let me exorcise you today and bring you back to your senses," Kongming Monk said coldly. He grabbed a wooden stick from a nearby shelf and swung it a few times before darting towards me. 0

"You want to fight me up close? You clearly don't know my strength!" I charged forward without fear, wielding my Demon-Subduing Staff, quickly engaging in combat with Kongming Monk. 0

After more than a month of training, my physical skills had improved significantly. If I could take on three opponents before, now I could handle five. 0

My eyes sparkled with determination as I easily blocked Kongming Monk's wooden stick with my Demon-Subduing Staff. I seized every opportunity to exploit his openings, landing strikes on him whenever I could. 0

"Ah! Why are you so annoying! If you have the guts, fight me fairly!" Kongming Monk exclaimed, bruised and battered from my blows. His face twisted in anger as he wildly swung his wooden stick at me with brute force. 0

"Monk, where's the fairness in this? You can't win against me; don't make excuses," I scoffed at him, dodging his attacks instead of meeting his wooden stick head-on. 0

After about a minute of this back-and-forth, Kongming Monk had failed to land a single hit on me. By this time, he was panting heavily, and his strikes had lost much of their power. 0

With my honed reflexes from training, I sensed the moment was right. A fierce glint flashed in my eyes as I raised my Demon-Subduing Staff high above my head and summoned all my strength to bring it crashing down onto Kongming Monk's wooden stick. 0

"Break for me!" I shouted as my Demon-Subduing Staff struck the wooden stick with a sharp crack, instantly shattering it into two pieces. 0

"Ah! I can't believe it! I refuse to believe that anyone is stronger than me!" The Kongming Monk roared, his hands trembling as the skin between his thumbs split open, crimson blood oozing out, yet he remained oblivious to his injury. 0

Madness filled the Kongming Monk's eyes as he discarded the broken wooden stick in his hand. He formed a decisive hand seal and pointed towards the phantom beast hovering in midair, shouting loudly, "Xuan Tiger, come back to me and kill this brat!" 0

"Roar~~" The phantom beast responded to the Kongming Monk's command, its form becoming more solid and its aura intensifying. It let out a deafening roar, swinging its tail towards Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Buddha Manifestation, forcing it back. Then, with a flash of movement, it turned its murderous gaze towards me. 0

Seeing the beast's eyes filled with malice sent a wave of intense danger coursing through me. I couldn't afford to be careless; I quickly sheathed my Demon-Subduing Staff at my waist and rapidly formed a spell with my hands. "Damn it! Monk, you think your physical skills can match mine? You really believe you're the only one with a Buddhist Manifestation? I can destroy that little kitty you summoned in just a moment." 0

The Kongming Monk noticed my actions, and a flicker of fear crossed his face. He pushed forward with his Seal, shouting at the Xuan Tiger Illusion in midair, "Xuan Tiger, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and kill him!" 0

"Roar~~" Under the Kongming Monk's control, the Xuan Tiger Illusion roared and transformed into a blur, lunging towards me. 0

Though it seemed like an eternity had passed during the Kongming Monk's attack, only seven or eight seconds had actually gone by. My Buddhist Sect Seal was still incomplete when the Xuan Tiger Illusion charged at me. Panic surged within me as I retreated to create distance from the beast while hastening my hand seals. 0

"This is bad!" Just as I managed to stall for three seconds, the Xuan Tiger Illusion seized an opening under the Kongming Monk's control and swiped its massive claws directly at my chest. 0

"Bang~~" A light sound echoed as my body was sent flying through the air, crashing into three rows of shelves before finally coming to a stop. 0

"Haha! Aren't you supposed to be so powerful? Come on! Fight me!" The Kongming Monk laughed triumphantly as the Xuan Tiger Illusion landed a hit. A glint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes; he offered me no respite and commanded the Xuan Tiger Illusion to continue its assault. 0

I scrambled to my feet quickly, spitting out a mouthful of blood. A spark of determination ignited within my eyes; I had never given up on completing my Seal. Finally, I finished the last Hand Seal. 0

"The hell is filled with evils; may my Buddha show compassion. If I do not enter hell, who will? Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, return!" I shouted loudly as I thrust my Seal towards Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Buddha Manifestation in midair. 0

Without my control before, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the Buddha Manifestation, stood there in a daze. Now that I unleashed my Seal, the aura of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva transformed. He clasped his hands together, opened his eyes, and looked at me with a gaze full of wisdom. 0

"What’s going on? Why isn’t my Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva listening to my commands?" I attempted to control Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva through hand seals, but it had no effect. The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva before me had broken free from my control and become an independent entity. 0

Our eyes met for a brief moment, and I felt a wave of unease wash over me, as if he could see all my secrets laid bare, leaving me feeling utterly exposed. 0

"Transgressor, cease your actions at once!" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva turned to face the Xuan Tiger Illusion, his voice booming. However, the Xuan Tiger Illusion lacked intelligence; it was merely a Buddhist Manifestation summoned by the Kongming Monk. It continued to pounce toward me with ferocity. 0

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva remained calm as he waved his hand toward the Xuan Tiger Illusion in mid-air. With a loud bang, the Xuan Tiger Illusion was instantly obliterated, transforming into strands of fine Buddhist light that dissipated into the air. 0

The Kongming Monk suffered backlash from the failed summoning and spat out a mouthful of blood. He stared at the scene before him in disbelief and shouted, "This is impossible! This person is helping the monster; he clearly isn’t a good person! How could he summon the true form of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva? Only someone with pure intentions can achieve that—how does he have the ability to do so!" 0
