I woke up early and boarded the first flight, arriving at the entrance of Jin Yuan's Buddhist Artifact Shop by noon. 0

"What the hell is going on?" I stared at the resplendent storefront, feeling as if I had stepped into a high-end club. I remembered that Jin Yuan had renovated the shop before I left, but I never expected it to be this luxurious. 0

Thinking back to He Ying's shabby decor, I couldn't help but smile wryly and mutter to myself, "Some people just can't compete. Jin Yuan has made so much money over the years; He Ying can't even compare." 0

I pushed open the door to the Buddhist Artifact Shop and walked inside. A glance at the shelves revealed that the prices of the Buddhist artifacts had skyrocketed. Looking at the long string of zeros on the price list, I shook my head in disbelief. 0

Deciding not to dwell on the artifacts any longer, I headed straight for the cash register and called out, "Jin Yuanjie, I'm here! Where are you?" 0

Jin Yuan stood up from behind the counter, waving at me with a smile. "Jiang Ling! It's you! You scared me!" 0

As I approached the counter, I noticed several purple bruises on Jin Yuan's face. Although she had tried to cover them up with makeup, they were still visible to me. 0

A cold glint flashed in my eyes as I slammed my palm on the counter and exclaimed loudly, "Jin Yuanjie, who did this to you? Tell me! If I don't beat that bastard to a pulp today, I won't be called Jiang Ling!" 0

After my Daoist Magic was rendered useless, I had been living in Jin Yuan's Buddhist Artifact Shop. Although Yu Yuanhang was my nominal master, I had never actually seen him; it was mostly Jin Yuan who took care of me. 0

Now that something had happened to Jin Yuan, I knew her well enough to understand that she wasn't someone who would provoke trouble. This could only mean one thing: someone was deliberately causing her trouble. 0

Seeing my expression, a look of relief crossed Jin Yuan's face. She reached out and gently pushed me down onto a chair. "Jiang Ling, don't get worked up. The reason I called you here is that I need your help. Let me explain what happened." 0

Jin Yuan sat beside me and began to calmly recount what had transpired. 0

Early that morning, two Buddhist Monks arrived in the mortal world. An elderly High Monk accompanied a young monk in his twenties to experience life among humans. They had no food or money, so they went to Jin Yuan's shop to beg for alms. Upon seeing the two monks, Jin Yuan immediately offered them a large amount of food and drink, along with three thousand dollars, all of which she handed over without hesitation. 0

In gratitude for Jin Yuan's kindness, the young monk secretly drew a protective Sutra from the Buddhist Sect on her. However, this inadvertently revealed a trace of demonic energy from Jin Yuan, allowing the two monks to see through her true identity as a demon. 0

Once the young monk realized Jin Yuan's true form, he immediately turned hostile, disregarding everything else and attempting to subdue her. It was only thanks to the High Monk's intervention that Jin Yuan was not taken away. 0

Despite the young monk's deep understanding of Buddhism and his heavy-handed approach, their brief exchange of blows left Jin Yuan bruised and battered. If not for the High Monk stepping in, she likely wouldn't have lasted even five minutes against him. 0

After hearing Jin Yuan's account, I couldn't suppress my anger. A fierce glint flashed in my eyes as I spoke with irritation, "It's unbelievable how ungrateful some monks can be! Not only do they fail to appreciate kindness, but they also turn against their Savior. It's truly shameful. Jin Yuan, don't worry; I'll take care of this matter. I will teach that monk a lesson on how to behave." 0

I had suspected that both Jin Yuan and Yu Yuanhang were demons in human form, so when Jin Yuan revealed her true identity, I wasn't particularly surprised. On the contrary, her willingness to share this information indicated that she genuinely trusted me and considered me one of her own. 0

"By the way, Jin Yuanjie, does Yu Yuanhang know about this? Why hasn't he shown up?" I asked with a furrowed brow, feeling puzzled. Logically speaking, since Yu Yuanhang was responsible for the shop, he should have been the first to step in when trouble arose. 0

Jin Yuan shook her head, looking somewhat distressed. "The manager has been missing for over a month; I haven't been able to contact him at all. Otherwise, I wouldn't have called you." 0

Seeing her expression, I quickly nodded and reassured her, "Jin Yuanjie, don't worry. The manager is more capable than I am; he will be fine. He might just be in some secret realm where communication is difficult." 0

Having spent many years in the Yin-Yang Realm, Jin Yuan understood that certain places like Spirit Ghost Street and Ghost Realm had no signal at all. 0

I sat beside Jin Yuan and chatted with her without rushing to find those two monks. Based on her description, I suspected that the young monk would likely come alone to cause trouble for Jin Yuan. His brash demeanor suggested that once he discovered her true form, he would not let it go easily. 0

While the young monk might have a kind heart, sometimes matters in this world cannot simply be divided into good and evil. Not all demons are harmful; there are good ones like Jin Yuan, Zhu Dongdong, and Zhu Caini who exist as well. 0

So if that monk dares to come looking for trouble with Jin Yuan again, I will teach him how to survive in society. Otherwise, if he offends someone he can't afford to mess with, he won't even know how he ends up dead. That old monk brought him out for this very purpose. 0

After three or four hours, it was already seven in the evening, and the outside world was slowly turning dark. Jin Yuan and I had dinner outside and returned to the shop to sit, but the monk still hadn't shown up. 0

Another two hours passed, and it was now ten at night. The number of pedestrians on the street had dwindled significantly. Jin Yuan looked out at the pitch-black exterior of the shop, a puzzled expression on her face as she spoke, "Jiang Ling, do you think those two monks might have left? Am I worrying too much?" 0

I frowned and shook my head without hesitation, saying, "Jin Yuan, that monk will definitely come. Let's just wait." 0

The reason I was so certain was that my intuition told me that monk would appear. 0

So Jin Yuan and I stayed in the shop, chatting idly as time passed. When it reached midnight and all the pedestrians had returned home, a figure with a shiny bald head appeared outside the shop. The monk had finally arrived. 0
