The Ghostly Being, upon hearing the sounds outside the door, flashed an excited look in its eyes. It let out a wild laugh and arrogantly declared, "Heh heh, my boss is here now, and you're dead meat. Hahaha."
"Hmph, whether I live or die is uncertain, but if you dare to act so cocky in front of me, you must be looking for trouble!" Qu Liang coldly snorted, her expression darkening. She held seven or eight Silver Talismans in her hand and pressed them onto the Ghostly Being's Spirit Cover. Then she quickly cast several Spells while chanting, "Separation Fire descend, eradicate the ghost! Evil spirit blocking the way, turn to dust! Lingling, Earth Spirit, Supreme Old Lord, heed my command! Separation Fire Talisman, command!"
As Qu Liang's words fell, clusters of fist-sized Separation Fire flames appeared on the Ghostly Being's Spirit Cover and began to burn fiercely at its soul.
Qu Liang acted swiftly, and since the Ghostly Being was already severely injured, it could not evade the Silver Talismans. It could only watch helplessly as the Separation Fire flames ignited on its body.
"Ah! Boss, save me! Help me!" The arrogance on the Ghostly Being's face vanished completely as it let out a wretched scream, frantically swatting at the Separation Fire flames while calling for help from outside.
"Ah! No! I don't want to die yet! Big brother, please save me!" The Ghostly Being's cries were particularly tragic and loud enough for even the students downstairs in the dormitory to hear clearly.
The students were filled with confusion as they exchanged glances and began discussing among themselves, "What's going on? Why is there a man's voice coming from our dorm? We've been here all along and haven't seen any boys come in."
A bespectacled girl looked curiously at the brightly lit room upstairs. Adjusting her glasses, she suddenly said, "From here, it looks like there’s no one else in Qu Liang's room. You think that man could be a ghost?"
As the saying goes, "The speaker has no intention; the listener has a heart." No sooner had the girl's words fallen than silence enveloped those around her. Fear flashed in their eyes as they acknowledged her speculation. Some of the more timid girls turned pale with fright as they glanced around at the dark corners of their surroundings, beginning to imagine a Ghostly Being bursting forth from the shadows to take them away.
After three or four seconds, a loud explosion erupted from Qu Liang's room, plunging it into darkness except for the flames of talismans burning within. The students downstairs could no longer see what was happening inside; they could only vaguely make out two shadows reflected on the window as they fought furiously.
"Ah! That must be a ghost! It has to be a ghost! This is too terrifying; I want to leave!" The frightened girls stared at the two dark figures on the window and lost all color in their faces. Their bodies began to tremble with fear.
They noticed that the two Figures appeared tall and robust, not resembling girls at all. They had no idea how these shadows came to be there and felt increasingly uneasy. Unable to contain themselves any longer, those timid girls let out a shrill scream and turned to flee to another place.
Three minutes earlier, after Qu Liang eliminated the Century Ghost, the mastermind outside took action. He kicked open the door to Qu Liang's dormitory, swiftly entering with a flash, his cold gaze locking onto Qu Liang's eyes. In a grim tone, he said, "Very good! You really are something! Not only did you challenge my authority, but you also dared to eliminate my subordinate right in front of me. Your courage is impressive."
Qu Liang felt a twinge of guilt as she assessed the intruder. She noticed he was dressed in a long black robe that enveloped his entire body, even his hands were gloved, concealing his identity.
"Hmph, I don't care who you are. Since you've walked into my trap, you might as well taste my power," Qu Liang replied with a serious expression, snorting coldly. She quickly performed a spell, channeling her Daoist Magic into the Silver Talisman in the room. Then she chanted, "Separation Fire descend, eradicate the spirits! Evil spirits obstructing the path, turn to dust! Lingling, Earth Spirit, Supreme Old Lord, heed my command! Separation Fire Talisman, I command you!"
The man cast a disdainful glance at Qu Liang and sneered, "Hmph, with such little skill, you dare to show off in front of me? You must not know how to write the word 'death'!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a cold killing intent flashed in his eyes. With a wave of his hands, a thick Eerie Aura spread throughout the room. The Silver Talismans stuck to the walls were quickly eroded by the Eerie Aura and began to emit white light as they actively charged toward it.
Qu Liang sensed a powerful aura emanating from the man that left her breathless. Taking several deep breaths to calm herself down, she clenched her fists tightly and reassured herself, "This mastermind is indeed a Ghostly Being. However, he's so careless to dare enter my trap; he really underestimates me. Let’s see if I can’t take you down with these talismans."
Just as Qu Liang prepared to control the Separation Fire she summoned to attack the Ghostly Being, before she could act, the Ghostly Being waved his right hand. The Eerie Aura whipped up a violent gust of wind that rampaged through the room.
"Bang bang~~" The sound of explosions echoed as the fluorescent lights on the ceiling shattered into pieces. The Silver Talismans and Qu Liang's Separation Fire were all swept away by the force of the wind and dissipated into Daoist Magic in mid-air.
The gust lifted Qu Liang off her feet and slammed her hard against the ground. The backlash from her own magic caused her to spit out a mouthful of blood. Quickly getting back on her feet, she wiped the blood from her mouth and looked at the figure in fear, panic evident in her voice as she stammered, "Cough cough, how could you be the Eternal Ghost King? This can't be real! This must be an illusion you've created!"
The man let out a derisive laugh. His gaze shifted away from Qu Liang and turned toward the wardrobe nearby. In a calm tone, he said, "Hmph. You over there have been hiding for so long; aren't you coming out now?"
