Loli glanced at Bai Meng, who stood beside me with her hands on her hips, looking quite pleased with herself. "Jiang Ling, you didn't bring this friend here just to see me, did you?"
"You brat, who said he's a friend? Do you believe I won't smack you?" Before I could respond, White Alliance couldn't hold back and stepped forward, rolling up his sleeves as if ready to fight.
Seeing this scene unfold before me, I shook my head in resignation. Although Bai Meng appeared to be a child, her age was not as simple as it seemed. I had been deceived by Bai Meng's appearance once before and had even suffered a loss because of it.
"Well, well, do you still want to mess with me, friend? You've got quite the temper; I wonder if you have the ability to back it up," Bai Meng said with interest, eyeing White Alliance. She waved her hand at the group of Water Monkeys behind her and instructed, "You all, teach this friend a lesson so he knows what it means to respect his elders and cherish the young."
"Hehe, don't worry, boss; we'll take care of this friend," the group of Water Monkeys replied in a somewhat awkward tone, grinning wickedly at White Alliance. They began tearing off their clothes to reveal their furry bodies and slowly surrounded him.
White Alliance's face turned pale at the sight of the Water Monkeys. Instinctively, he ran behind me and clutched my shirt tightly, his voice trembling as he said, "Jiang Ling, help! These monsters are going to eat people! You have to drive them away!"
The Water Monkeys didn’t look particularly frightening at first glance. However, seeing an animal speaking human language and behaving just like a person was enough to instill fear in anyone.
I shot a glare at the Water Monkeys and then turned to Bai Meng. "Bai Meng, stop messing around. I need your help with something."
Bai Meng signaled her subordinates to return to her side and reluctantly pouted. "What do you need my help with? Just so you know, I won’t help you without any benefits."
Seeing her expression made me a bit angry. "Bai Meng, I give you thirty thousand every month for living expenses. Is it really that hard for you to help me out a little? Looks like I'll just keep that thirty thousand for myself from now on."
When Bai Meng saw that I was upset, her attitude changed immediately. She smiled at me mischievously and said, "Hey hey, Jiang Ling, I was just joking! What do you need my help with? Just ask."
I pulled White Alliance in front of me and began explaining my plan. Before meeting Bai Meng, I only had a seventy percent chance of getting rid of the Soul attached to White Alliance. Now that I had Loli's assistance, I didn't have to worry about White Alliance's safety anymore and could focus entirely on dealing with that ghost. My confidence had risen to at least ninety percent.
Once I had clarified the situation, Bai Meng arranged for her subordinates to guard outside the Pavilion, preventing anyone from barging in and interrupting my spellcasting. Loli stood beside White Alliance, ensuring his safety.
After assigning the tasks, I took out a brush and a box of vermilion from my belongings, preparing to draw a Ghost Summoning Talisman in the center of the Pavilion to summon the spirit within White Alliance.
However, before that, I needed to use the blood from White Alliance's palms, the heart blood from his chest, and the soul blood from his forehead as catalysts, mixing them into the vermilion in my hand.
The palm blood represented White Alliance's limbs, the heart blood symbolized the essence of his body, and the soul blood contained a trace of his spiritual aura. Only by gathering all these elements together could I draw out the spirit residing within him.
I approached White Alliance with the box of vermilion, looked into his eyes, and said seriously, "White Alliance, I'm going to take something from you. It will hurt a bit; just bear with it."
Without hesitation, White Alliance nodded and replied, "Jiang Ling, don't worry about it. As long as you can help me kill that spirit, you can take my life if you want; I won't even flinch."
I nodded and began to make incisions on White Alliance's body to collect the blood I needed. The palm blood was easy to obtain; I simply used my fingernail to cut into his palm and collected it effortlessly.
However, obtaining the soul blood from his forehead and the heart blood from his chest was not so simple. Since only the innermost blood would suffice, I took out my Sabre and made a three-centimeter deep incision in the center of his forehead and over his heart to extract usable blood.
After collecting the vital essence, I looked up at White Alliance and noticed that he was covered in cold sweat, his face pale from blood loss. Yet he had not uttered a single cry of pain throughout the process.
I nodded inwardly and patted White Alliance on the shoulder with a serious expression. "White Alliance, rest assured; I will always help you eliminate that spirit."
With that said, I dipped my brush into the blood collected from White Alliance and quickly began drawing the Ghost Summoning Talisman in the center of the Pavilion.
At that moment, Loli took out a piece of gauze from her belongings and started bandaging White Alliance's wounds. She wore a sunny smile on her face and said cheerfully, "Friend, your name is White Alliance, mine is Bai Meng. It's fate that we met. You shouldn't follow Jiang Ling anymore; there's no future in following him. Come with me instead; I promise you'll live a life of luxury."
White Alliance cast a disdainful glance at Loli, his tone icy as he said, "If I follow Jiang Ling, I might have a chance to learn Taoist Magic. But if I follow you, am I supposed to learn demon magic? I'm a normal person, not some kind of monster."
Upon seeing White Alliance's expression, Loli immediately grew angry and slapped him on the head, exclaiming, "Just because you're human makes you special? Let me tell you, the Buddhist Spell that Jiang Ling has was taught to him by me. Hmph, if you don't want to team up with me, then fine."
Hearing Loli's words, a spark lit up in White Alliance's eyes, and his attitude flipped instantly. He grinned at Loli, trying to ingratiate himself as he said, "Boss, from now on, I'm with you. You have to look out for me and teach me a few moves of the Buddhist Spell."
Loli patted White Alliance on the shoulder, full of confidence as she replied, "White Alliance, don't worry. As long as you perform well in the future, I'll find opportunities to teach you a few tricks."
If I had heard Loli's words, I would have immediately known she was lying. She had already transferred the inheritance of the Buddhist Sect to me and didn't know any Buddhist Spell herself. There was nothing she could teach White Alliance. She was simply trying to fool him into becoming her subordinate.
While White Alliance and Loli were chatting idly, I finished drawing the Ghost Summoning Talisman. I put away my brush and cinnabar box, then waved at White Alliance, saying, "Hey White Alliance, come over! We can get started!"
