Three hours later, in the hospital downtown, Li Hongze and the other two were lying in the same ward, huddled together playing Honor of Kings.
I sat to the side, watching the three of them, shaking my head in disbelief. I actually wanted to join them in playing Honor of Kings, but after they let me play a few rounds and realized I had no talent for the game—getting killed by monsters even while jungling—they completely abandoned me and happily continued their trio matches.
A lot had happened during these three hours. For instance, those who had run out of the restaurant immediately called the police after leaving.
When the police arrived and saw the broken Human Skin inside the restaurant, they quickly launched an investigation, and naturally, the four of us were called in for questioning.
Fortunately, we had previously cooperated with the police at the precinct. They knew I was a ghost-catching mage and had witnessed my abilities firsthand. After hearing my account, they classified the case as a Supernatural Case, assigning it to a specialized Supernatural Team.
We didn’t participate in any further investigations, but I suspected that the Supernatural Team hadn’t found any trace of Ge Bing; otherwise, it wouldn’t be so quiet in the city. However, this didn’t concern me. I would seek revenge on Ge Bing, but not now.

Even so, after three hours had passed, Li Hongze’s injuries had healed significantly. Originally expected to stay in the hospital for over a month, he now only needed another seven or eight days before he could be discharged.
As for Hu Yalong and Lan Yue, they didn’t have any major issues and didn’t need treatment with the Elixir of Immortality from the Nine-Dragon Cauldron. Their reasons for lingering in the hospital were different.
For example, Lan Yue was deliberately pretending to be sick to avoid Military Training before school started. As for Hu Yalong, he was simply bored and came specifically to hang out with Lan Yue and the others.
After Hu Yalong finished a match with them, I gave him a nod and pulled him aside onto a hospital table.
Hu Yalong scratched his head in confusion and turned to me, asking, “ Brother Jiang Ling, why did you bring me here? I still want to play games with Lan Yue and the others; I don’t have time to waste with you.”
I shot a silent glance at Hu Yalong and pulled out the Soul Nourishing Stone from my pocket, shoving it into his hands. I patted him on the shoulder, my expression serious as I said, "Fatty, haven't you always wanted to learn Daoist Arts? I'm giving you a chance now; I hope you can seize it and not let me down."
During these three hours, Liu Zhenxian had been recuperating inside the Soul Nourishing Stone. Although he hadn't fully healed yet, he could still teach Hu Yalong a few tricks of Taoist Magic. After much consideration, I ultimately decided to hand the Soul Nourishing Stone over to Hu Yalong.
After this incident, I realized that Hu Yalong and the others had been forced into the Yin-Yang Realms. They couldn't back out now; it was too late. With Hu Yalong opening his Wisdom Eye and stepping onto the path of cultivation, teaching him some Taoist Magic would at least provide him with more means of self-defense.
As for Li Hongze and Lan Yue, they were ordinary people. I had already crafted a top-tier talisman for each of them and provided them with a Money Sword for protection, enabling them to deal with ghostly beings below the level of Millennium Ghost Generals.
Hu Yalong examined the Soul Nourishing Stone in his hands closely, but his expression was far from happy. He pouted and said, " Brother Jiang Ling, you gave Li Hongze so many magical tools, yet you give me this ugly black stone. That's quite biased, don't you think?"
I looked at Hu Yalong in silence and calmly explained everything to him, including Liu Zhenxian's requirements. If Hu Yalong truly wanted to learn Taoist Magic from Liu Zhenxian, he would have to help He Ying manage her shop for three years.
Upon hearing my explanation, Hu Yalong immediately patted his chest without hesitation and laughed, " Brother Jiang Ling, don't worry! As long as Liu Zhenxian is willing to teach me Taoist Magic, I'll definitely agree to his terms. Three years? I'd be willing even if it were thirty years!"
With a cheerful grin, Hu Yalong tucked the Soul Nourishing Stone close to himself. We discussed some important matters before returning to the hospital room.
In the following days, I stayed in the hospital with Li Hongze and the others. During the day, they played Honor of Kings while I focused on solidifying my Daoist Sect cultivation. Although I had advanced to Master Rank due to this unexpected turn of events, this method of promotion felt unstable, so I took this time to adjust properly.
In the evenings, I took Hu Yalong to learn Taoist Magic at the hospital's platform. Of course, Liu Zhenxian was the one teaching him; I merely stood by watching to help Hu Yalong feel more at ease.
Time flew by quickly, and soon only two hours remained before our military training began. We four were about to part ways.
However, during this time, Hu Yalong learned several tricks of Taoist Magic and became quite full of himself. He walked around with an air of superiority and frequently showed off his newfound skills in front of Lan Yue and the others. Eventually, he was jointly beaten up by Li Hongze and another friend before he finally settled down.
As for Li Hongze, his injuries had mostly healed, and he would be discharged from the hospital in a few days. Although Lan Yue wanted to stay in the hospital indefinitely, everything changed when he hacked into their university's teaching system and discovered that their class for Military Training was being taught by a beautiful instructor. Suddenly, he felt much better and immediately began the discharge process.
The four of us gathered for a meal together, and then Hu Yalong and I took a flight to the city where I studied. I brought Hu Yalong to He Ying's shop. I had originally thought that He Ying wouldn't easily hand over her shop to someone else, but to my surprise, she readily agreed to my request.
Although I couldn't quite understand why He Ying would do this, I didn't ask too many questions. After leaving Hu Yalong in the shop, I casually left the Soul Nourishing Stone there as well. Once I retrieved my luggage from He Ying's place, I slung my backpack over my shoulder and eagerly headed toward the university campus of my dreams.
