Yet Lan Yue remained calm, walking leisurely at the back with no trace of fear on his face.
But when he called me just now, I could clearly sense a slight tremor in his voice; it seemed like something was threatening his life.
I put my phone back in my pocket and a glint flashed in my eyes as I said, "No matter what happened with Lan Yue, once I get there, I'll figure everything out. I'll see who's trying to set me up."
