After Jiang Bao eliminated the Nine Masters of the Wuji Daoist Temple, the only ones left standing in the Misty Space were me and Jiang Bao, along with the Eight Store Managers hovering in midair. 0

The others had either been knocked unconscious by me and were still lying on the ground, or they had already escaped through the passage, leaving this Misty Space behind. 0

"Jiang Bao, Jiang Ling, it’s all over now. You can leave!" The voice of the manager of Store Four echoed through the air as he swiftly gestured with his hands, chanting incantations. 0

After a while, the aura around the manager of Store Four grew increasingly violent. The space behind him began to distort, and a massive phantom gourd appeared in midair. 0

"Ultimate Earth, Celestial Spirit Artifact, Purple Gold Gourd, White Mist Clear Clouds. Hear my command, gather!" The manager of Store Four shouted, reaching out his hands toward the Misty Space and drawing all the white mist into the gourd behind him. 0

After about ten seconds, the white mist in the entire Misty Space vanished completely, and visibility returned to normal. 0

The manager of Store Four dispelled his spell, and the phantom gourd behind him disappeared as well. He then turned his gaze toward a few people nearby and said in a calm tone, "Aren't you all leaving? It seems something is happening over at Ghost Street. You all seem quite composed." 0

"Heh heh, what’s the rush? What trouble could that group cause? It’s not every day we get to see your Purple Gold Gourd," someone chuckled. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he looked at the manager of Store Four. A smile spread across his face as he flattered him, "Old Ghost, your Purple Gold Gourd seems even more powerful now. Did you collect some treasures inside? Show me!" 0

The manager of Store Four shot him a disdainful glance and waved his hand dismissively. "Get lost. If you’re not leaving, I will." 0

With that, the manager of Store Four tore open a passageway leading to Ghost Street with a swift motion. This space was under his control, so opening a passage was effortless for him. 0

"This passage will only remain open for one minute. If you don’t come out by then, you’ll have to find your own way out," he warned before swiftly stepping into the passage. The other managers exchanged glances but didn’t linger any longer; they followed him into the passage. 0

After about two minutes, the entire Misty Space fell silent again, leaving only me and Jiang Bao inside. 0

Jiang Bao had already dispelled the magical markings on his body, and he returned to normal. However, the Round Seal still clearly floated on his chest, and a brand new ghostly face reappeared there. 0

Jiang Bao tidied himself up and walked towards me, holding the Seven Star Mysterious Dragon Sword. With a hint of surprise, he asked, "Jiang Ling, what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you not to come to Ghost Street?" 0

Hearing Jiang Bao's words, I could tell he was actually worried, but I refused to back down and replied loudly, "Jiang Bao, I am the master's direct disciple; you are just a nominal disciple. According to the rules, I am the heir of this shop. Now that my shop is being threatened, should I just stand by and let them take it?" 0

Jiang Bao looked at me and sighed with a bitter smile, shaking his head. He didn't want to dwell on the issue any longer. Instead, he came over, put his arm around my shoulder, and led me toward a nearby passage while jokingly saying, "You've got some skills; I'm no match for you." 0

At that moment, Jiang Bao noticed many unconscious people lying along the way. His smile vanished instantly, and his expression turned grim. With a tone full of menace, he asked, "Jiang Ling, did you take care of these people?" 0

I nodded but sensed something was off with Jiang Bao's mood. I quickly grabbed his hand holding the Seven Star Mysterious Dragon Sword and said, "Jiang Bao, your killing intent is too strong. We should spare these people; let's let them go this time!" 0

Jiang Bao turned to look at me and shook his head with a sigh. "Sigh. Jiang Ling, you're too soft-hearted like the master. If it were me, I would have wiped them out long ago. But for your sake, I'll let them go this once." 0

As Jiang Bao suppressed his killing intent, I took his hand and hurried into the passageway, leaving the Misty Space behind. 0

"Jiang Bao! Jiang Ling! You two finally made it out!" Cheng Zhong exclaimed with a smile when he saw us. He let out a long sigh of relief. With so many people having gone in this time, Cheng Zhong had initially worried that we wouldn't make it out alive. Now that we were safe and sound, the weight on his heart was finally lifted. 0

When Cheng Zhong's gaze fell on Jiang Bao's chest and the ghostly face there, his expression turned serious as he shouted, "Jiang Bao! How did you unseal the Round Seal? That's too risky!" 0

Jiang Bao shrugged it off nonchalantly and replied calmly, "Cheng Bo, I'm fine. I've refined a trace of demon blood; this Demon Lord can't harm me." 0

"But the manager told you not to..." Cheng Zhong began to protest but was cut off by Jiang Bao's glare. His voice turned cold as he said, "Cheng Bo, I'm the master's disciple; my matters are none of your concern. You go outside first; I need to talk to Jiang Ling." 0

I shot a displeased glance at Jiang Bao and said, "Jiang Bao, watch your words. Cheng Bo has watched us grow up; how can you speak to him like that?" 0

Cheng Zhong shook his head at me, then bowed slightly and said, "Jiang Ling, don't mind Jiang Bao. This time, I indeed spoke out of turn. I'll go out now." 0

With that, Cheng Zhong left the room and walked out of the shop, closing the door behind him. 0

Jiang Bao waited until Cheng Zhong had exited the shop before he let out a long sigh, his expression finally relaxing. He turned to me and said, "Jiang Ling, you've been away for so long that there are things you don't know. In fact, Cheng Bo is not as simple as he appears. You'll understand in due time." 0

I had originally wanted to question Jiang Bao further, but upon hearing his words and seeing the weariness etched on his face, I suddenly felt a pang of sadness inside me, unsure of what to say to him. 0

After pausing for a moment to let Jiang Bao regain his composure, I finally asked, "Jiang Bao, what exactly happened here? Where has Master gone?" 0
