Three minutes ago, inside the building, Liu Yinglan and I had just reached the stairway on the first floor when we were chased by the Faceless Ghost General from behind.
"Demon Mask King, die!" The Faceless Ghost General shouted, thrusting his White Bone Battle Blade swiftly towards my chest.
"Liu Yinglan, you go first!" I pushed Liu Yinglan away forcefully, drew out the Demon-Subduing Staff from my side, and blocked the White Bone Battle Blade.
With a loud crash, my Demon-Subduing Staff was knocked away, and the White Bone Battle Blade sliced a long wound across my left arm, instantly soaking my clothes with bright red blood. At the same time, I was sent flying and crashed heavily onto the stairs.
"Haha, Demon Mask King, this is what you get for offending me." The Faceless Ghost General approached me, pressing his White Bone Battle Blade against my head. With a forceful flick, he knocked off my Soul Mask.
The Faceless Ghost General let out a chilling laugh and said loudly, "Hehe, what Demon Mask King? Turns out you're just a doll. You look quite presentable; I'll cut your skin off and wear it on my face later."
"Bah! Stop daydreaming!" I looked up at the Faceless Ghost General and reached for the Soul Mask beside me, preparing to summon the Dog Treasure inside.
"Hey, where did it go?" I looked up only to find that the Faceless Ghost General had suddenly vanished before me, leaving me bewildered.
"You're lucky to have run fast; otherwise, you would be dead!" I shook my head, tucked the Soul Mask safely away, quickly bandaged my wound to stop the bleeding, and turned to look at Liu Yinglan beside me.
"Jiang Ling, I'm going to kill you!" At that moment, Liu Yinglan had blood streaming from her nose and dark circles under her eyes. She charged at me with a wooden plank in hand, radiating murderous intent.
Liu Yinglan had actually been holding the wooden plank all along but only rushed at me after confirming that the Faceless Ghost General had left.
It turned out that when I instinctively pushed Liu Yinglan away earlier, I had pushed her down the stairs too hard. That explained her current state.
Feeling guilty, I touched my ear and forced an awkward smile. As I ran up to the third floor, I said, "Liu Yinglan, stop messing around. I'm injured right now. If you hurt me again, who will take you all out of here?"
Liu Yinglan shook her head, raised the wooden plank high above her head, and quickly chased after me while shouting, "I don't care! I just want to beat you up for venting my anger! Jiang Ling, stop right there!"
After more than ten minutes of being beaten black and blue by Liu Yinglan, she finally calmed down and threw away the wooden plank, looking at me with some dissatisfaction.
I rubbed the swollen bump on my head and looked at Liu Yinglan with a hint of exasperation. "Liu Yinglan, you really went too far! I'm a patient here; can't you go easy on me?"
Liu Yinglan pouted, touching her face angrily. "Hmph, who told you to provoke me? I rely on my looks for a living, and now my face is like this. How am I supposed to live with it from now on?"
Feeling a bit guilty, I touched my ear and muttered to myself, "A good man doesn't fight with a woman; I guess I'm just unlucky this time."
While Liu Yinglan and I were playfully bickering, the crew members had arrived on the third floor. Upon seeing my injury, the medical staff rushed over with a first aid kit to tend to my wound while others stood nearby discussing the situation.
The aftermath of our earlier scuffle left the third floor in ruins. The statues that had been carefully placed were shattered, the altar in the center was reduced to rubble, and three deep holes marred the walls, evidence of our struggle scattered everywhere.
The security personnel from the crew had witnessed the Ghost Tree in the forest, and now faced with this scene, they exchanged fearful glances, their faces pale as they looked at me in trepidation.
The girls from the crew, known for their cheerful personalities, gathered around Liu Yinglan, bombarding her with questions while occasionally glancing my way.
I didn't hide my identity and took the initiative to explain some methods for dealing with Ghostly Beings to the crew. For instance, using Boys' Urine or Tongue Blood could help fend off some lower-level Ghostly Beings.
However, in the Ghost Realm, even the weakest Ghostly Beings were Century Ghosts, so these makeshift remedies wouldn't be very effective. I shared these methods mainly to calm their nerves and prevent them from becoming too frightened.
Some of the younger crew members excitedly pulled out their water bottles upon hearing my suggestions. "Haha, I'm still a virgin! I have Boys' Urine; I need to prepare!"
"Ah, it hurts! Can this tongue really bite through?" Some girls covered their mouths in pain, tears streaming down their faces without having bitten through their tongues yet.
Watching this group of people before me, I shook my head gently. Although I was worried about their safety, there wasn't much I could do to help them. I couldn't help but sigh internally, thinking, "I wonder how many of these people will survive. It's best if we find a way to leave here quickly; as long as we regroup with Bai Bufan and the others, we can find a way to get them out of the Ghost Realm."
After formulating my plan and tending to my arm injury, I borrowed a backpack from the crew and picked up the scattered items from the ground. I drew some protective talismans and affixed them to their bodies before leading everyone downstairs.
Standing at the entrance of the Building, I scanned the crew members with a serious expression. "Everyone stay close to me; don't fall behind. I'll make sure you all get out alive!"
The crew members nodded in agreement, their hands brushing against the talismans on their bodies as they focused intently on me.
"Let's go!" I pushed open the large door in front of me with all my strength, gripping the Rusty Sword tightly. I darted forward, leading the charge.
"Wait, something's off! That's sunlight! There are Living People over there! And music!" As soon as I burst outside, the bright sunlight blinded me, forcing me to shield my eyes with my right hand until I could adjust.
"Wow, we’re back in Movie City! Look over there, that's the neighboring Xianxia Film Crew!"
"Ah! Could it be that we were hallucinating before?"
The crew members looked around in disbelief at their surroundings, all of them exhaling deeply in relief.
Not long ago, the area where this Building stood had been shrouded in Eerie Energy, creating an illusion that went unnoticed by those nearby. Now, the Building had reappeared, the illusion vanished, and everything had returned to normal.
I surveyed my surroundings and couldn't help but shout in excitement, "Wow, we really are back!"
