As I took advantage of the chaos caused by the Ghostly Beings fighting, I quickly grabbed Liu Yinglan's hand and urged, "Liu Yinglan, we need to get out of here! It's too dangerous!"
Liu Yinglan forcefully shook off my left hand, her voice filled with anger. "Jiang Ling, don't hold me back. How dare they attack a child with so many of them? I’m going over there to teach them a lesson."
Seeing Liu Yinglan adopt a reckless stance, I shook my head helplessly and quickly placed my hand in front of her. "Liu Yinglan, those people are ghosts; they aren't Living Persons at all. Look closely at their feet—they don’t have shadows!"
Upon hearing my words, Liu Yinglan froze for a moment and instinctively glanced up at the altar. It was then that she noticed that the five figures truly had no shadows, not even the child.
"It can't be! I must be hallucinating!" Liu Yinglan shook her head, trying to deny what she had just seen. But when she turned to look at her own feet, she saw a pitch-black shadow beneath her. She glanced down again and noticed a long shadow beneath her as well.
Liu Yinglan's expression turned pale in an instant. The thought of having just hugged a ghost and even kissed it sent chills down her spine.
Her gaze returned to the altar, where she once again caught sight of the Faceless Ghost General. Its skinless face, exposed eyeballs, and bloody raw flesh were all terrifying sights.
"Hey there, girl. Just wait; I'll come for you soon!" At that moment, the Faceless Ghost General's gaze fell on Liu Yinglan. Their eyes met, filled with a chilling murderous intent. The Faceless Ghost General smiled at Liu Yinglan, revealing a grotesque grin.
"Ah! A ghost! Run for your life!" Liu Yinglan felt her scalp tingle under the ghost's gaze. She screamed and dashed toward the staircase at lightning speed.
Watching Liu Yinglan flee in panic made me chuckle and shake my head. "Finally realizing fear, huh?"
I saw Liu Yinglan rush down to the third floor. Since there was little danger on the second floor and her crew members were there, I figured she would be safe enough without me following her.
My attention shifted back to the altar. The child had regained consciousness but was being besieged by the five Ghostly Beings, struggling helplessly and unable to restore the Eerie Aura in mid-air. He could no longer seal off the Cultivation of those Ghostly Beings.
"Please don’t kill me! I'll give you all the fruits!" Realizing his dire situation, the child hurriedly pulled out more than twenty Yinling Flower fruits from his body and tossed them into the air.
"Hey, you little brat, don't think you can fool us. We already know you are the Yin-Yang Twin Spirit Flower. As long as we kill you, all the Yinling Flower fruits will burst forth. So, it's best for you to just die!" The Faceless Ghost General sneered as he looked at the Yinling Flower fruits floating in mid-air. The five of them did not rush to seize the fruits; instead, they continued their pursuit of the child.
"Haha, if you five aren't going to take those Yinling Flower fruits, I won't hold back!" A wicked smile spread across my face as I thought to myself. Taking advantage of the fact that the five Ghostly Beings were too preoccupied with me, I stealthily picked up the fallen Yinling Flower fruits while holding my Demon-Subduing Staff.
Meanwhile, Liu Yinglan rushed into the room on the second floor where they were filming. Her eyes were filled with fear, but she felt a bit more at ease when she saw everyone inside.
The slightly plump director noticed Liu Yinglan's expression and a glint flashed in his eyes. He grabbed her hand and said with a smile, "Liu Yinglan, your expression looks great! Come on, since you're in good shape right now, let's do that scene again. This time, we must get it in one take!"
Liu Yinglan wanted to tell the director about what had happened on the third floor, but unfortunately, she didn't even have a chance to speak before being dragged back into filming.
The director shouted into the megaphone, "Liu Yinglan, stop daydreaming and get ready! We'll wrap up as soon as your scene is done!"
"Alright!" Liu Yinglan replied helplessly. Although she was extremely anxious inside, she knew she couldn't defy the crew because no one would believe in the existence of ghosts. If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed it either. Liu Yinglan just hoped she could get through this scene quickly so that everyone could leave this Ghost Tower.
"Okay everyone, get ready, and action!" The director called out with his megaphone, and all the cameras turned towards Liu Yinglan.
Liu Yinglan fell to the ground as a shadow loomed before her. The shadow held a kitchen knife and was slowly advancing towards her. Liu Yinglan pushed herself up with her hands and began to crawl backward slowly.
"Ah! Please don't kill me! I'm begging you! Spare me! I won't tell anyone about what happened here!" Liu Yinglan's voice trembled with tears as fear filled her eyes; her expression was one of utter despair.
"Cut! Perfect! Everyone pack up; we're done for today. We'll continue tomorrow!" The director called for a halt with a joyful smile on his face. He was incredibly surprised by his daughter's performance; she hadn't been fake crying but had truly delivered an explosive performance with her expressions and actions.
"Liu Yinglan, when did your acting get this good? It's astonishing!"
"Liu Yinglan, do you have any secrets? Teach us!"
The female actors in the crew gathered around Liu Yinglan, chattering excitedly. They were genuinely impressed by Liu Yinglan's acting skills.
Liu Yinglan wore an awkward yet polite smile and said, "It's a secret."
After more than ten minutes, everyone in the crew had finished packing up and headed towards the first floor. As Liu Yinglan reached the stairway, she glanced up towards the third floor and muttered to herself with concern, "Jiang Ling, you should have escaped too. I hope we can meet again."
With that, Liu Yinglan followed the others down the stairs. When they reached the first floor, a strong Eerie Energy suddenly swept through the hall, causing all the fabric to shake wildly.
"Please~~ don't go, don't leave us!"
"Please, help me!"
"Please~~"
At that moment, eerie ghostly wails echoed through the hall on the first floor, yet no figures could be seen.
