I reached the stairway to the third floor and noticed something strange. The entire floor was shrouded in an eerie aura, and the moment I stepped onto the third floor, I felt as if my Daoist and Buddhist powers were sealed away, even losing connection to the power of Dog Treasure. 0

"What is going on? Is this a trap?" I furrowed my brows, feeling a vague sense of unease. I took a few steps back until I was out of that eerie aura's range, and only then did my Daoist and Buddhist powers reemerge. 0

"Wow, why is it so cold up here?" Liu Yinglan, an ordinary person, walked into the third floor without sensing anything particularly unusual. The only thing she felt was that the temperature was abnormally low, giving her a chilling sensation. 0

The third floor was the most terrifying scene in their movie, filled with many grotesque statues. In the center stood a bizarre altar, a place steeped in evil energy meant for sacrifices. 0

"This scent is coming from here; it must be nearby," Liu Yinglan murmured to herself as her gaze swept across the third floor before she slowly walked deeper inside. 0

Watching Liu Yinglan's retreating figure, I frowned. Although there might be danger on this floor, I couldn't bear to see her perish within. There’s a saying in the Buddhist sect: saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda. After hesitating for a moment, I steeled myself and ran after her, calling out, "Liu Yinglan, wait for me!" 0

I dashed into that eerie aura again, feeling my Daoist and Buddhist powers sealed once more. However, having mentally prepared myself, I quickly drew my rusty sword and demon-subduing staff from my belongings, gripping them tightly. 0

I swung my weapons around and nodded in satisfaction. Feeling a bit more confident, I muttered to myself, "Even though my magical powers are sealed, my martial skills remain. Whoever dares to cause trouble will get two strikes from me! I refuse to believe I can't take you down!" 0

I followed Liu Yinglan closely as we made our way toward the center of the third floor. My eyes scanned the strange statues around us but found no ghostly beings hiding among them. 0

"How odd; could it be that I'm being overly suspicious? There are no ghostly beings on this floor?" I wondered aloud. 0

After walking for a while with Liu Yinglan, we finally reached the center of the third floor. 0

In the middle of the room stood a circular altar about half a meter high and five or six meters in diameter. The sides of the altar were engraved with peculiar runes the size of fingers. Above it was a hexagram painted with red liquid that resembled a magic circle from a comic book. 0

I shook my head in disbelief, thinking to myself, "Damn, who carved this altar? It's a complete mess and serves no purpose at all." 0

"Hey, what is this thing? The fragrance is coming from here!" Liu Yinglan exclaimed excitedly, her eyes fixed on the altar before us. More precisely, she was staring at the walnut-sized fruit of the Yinling Flower resting atop it. 0

"So you were hiding here!" I glanced around the altar and noticed five Ghostly Beings standing nearby. They surrounded the Yinling Flower's fruit, but strangely enough, they did not attempt to snatch it. 0

"Hey, it seems like something is blocking my way. Move aside!" Liu Yinglan couldn't see the five Ghostly Beings surrounding the altar since she hadn't activated her Yin-Yang Eyes. At that moment, a Faceless Ghost General stood directly in her path. 0

"Hehe, I didn't expect a woman to barge in here. I’m going to enjoy this," the Faceless Ghost General cackled ominously, leaning closer and extending his tongue to lick Liu Yinglan's face. 0

I frowned and rushed forward with my weapon drawn, shouting, "Liu Yinglan, step back! There's a ghost in front of you!" 0

Liu Yinglan completely ignored my warning. A glint of killing intent flashed in her eyes as she raised her right hand and slapped forward without hesitation. "Damn it! You think you can take advantage of me? Go to hell!" she shouted. 0

The sound of her palm striking the Faceless Ghost General's face echoed loudly. Realizing she had actually hit him, Liu Yinglan didn’t hesitate; she raised her left hand as well and began to unleash a flurry of slaps directly at his face. 0

Logically speaking, Liu Yinglan was just an ordinary person; she shouldn’t have been able to hit the Faceless Ghost General. Even if she did land a blow, given the Faceless Ghost General's cultivation level, he shouldn’t have been harmed. 0

However, oddly enough, not only did Liu Yinglan hit him, but she also left him dazed and confused, with a trickle of blood appearing at the corner of his mouth. 0

I stopped in my tracks, astonished by what I was witnessing. A realization dawned on me as I muttered to myself, "So that's it. It seems this group of Ghostly Beings has also had their cultivation sealed." 0

"Ah! Ugly Monster! Remember this! Once I regain my cultivation, I will definitely kill you!" the Faceless Ghost General roared in fury. After receiving more than twenty slaps from Liu Yinglan, his head was swollen; his previously unprotected face was now bloodied and bruised, with his eyes nearly popping out from the impact. 0

The Faceless Ghost General quickly raised his hands to cover his head and swiftly dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding Liu Yinglan's slap. 0

"Haha, this is really amusing! The illustrious Millennium Ghost General has been turned into a pig's head by an ordinary person. Haha, this is killing me with laughter!" A clear voice rang out from above the altar, and a figure emerged from within the swaying Yinling Flower fruit. This figure was the Spirit Fruit of the Yinling Flower. 0

The figure resembled a child of about seven or eight years old, looking somewhat silly and cute, appearing harmless. However, the moment the child appeared, a slight tremor ran through the eerie aura on the third floor, causing the ghostly beings surrounding the altar to instinctively step back a few paces, their eyes filled with fear as they gazed at the child. 0

I furrowed my brow, cold sweat breaking out on my back as I scrutinized the child before me. I muttered to myself in confusion, "What’s going on? Why do I feel an intense sense of danger from this child?" 0

Liu Yinglan looked curiously at the child on the altar and asked, "Hey there, friend, where did you come from?" 0

Then Liu Yinglan reached out to pat the child's head. I could only smile wryly and shake my head, secretly admiring Liu Yinglan's boldness. 0

The child's face broke into an innocent smile as he looked into Liu Yinglan's eyes and asked, "Sister, I can perform magic. Do you want to see?" 0
