"Hey? Jiang Ling, is this your Demon Beast?" Lin Hanyu exclaimed in surprise at the sight of Dog Treasure. His expression reflected his astonishment, as most people who raised Demon Beasts were those involved in Evil Cultivation, using them for nefarious purposes. Righteous Mages like me rarely kept Demon Beasts. 0

Hearing the tone of Lin Hanyu's voice, I could easily guess his thoughts. I shot him a glare and said irritably, "Lin Hanyu, don't look at me like that! My Demon Beast hasn't done anything wrong!" 0

"Woof Woof~~" Dog Treasure barked at Lin Hanyu, shaking its head and putting on an adorably silly expression. 0

"Uh!" Lin Hanyu was momentarily stunned by the scene before him. In his experience, Demon Beasts were typically ferocious, and he had never seen one as gentle as Dog Treasure. 0

I grabbed Dog Treasure, unsure why it had suddenly run over, but now wasn't the time to dwell on that. I walked over and tapped Lin Hanyu on the shoulder, saying impatiently, "Lin Hanyu, what are you dawdling for? We're in the Ghost Realm! There are spirits everywhere. We need to find the Gate of the Underworld and get out of this ghostly place!" 0

"Oh right!" Lin Hanyu snapped back to reality. He sensed the location of the Gate of the Underworld and led me deeper into the Ghost Realm. 0

The Ghost Realm was teeming with spirits—some were ancient ghost kings who had cultivated for millennia, while others were newly transformed Undead souls. However, the majority were Vengeful Spirits that had been cultivating for about a hundred years. I could handle four or five of these Vengeful Spirits on my own without any trouble, but if we encountered a group of them, my only option would be to flee. 0

Lin Hanyu and I walked along the edge of the Ghost Realm for over ten minutes. Fortunately, we only encountered a few low-level spirits along the way, which I easily dispatched using Taoist Magic. 0

"Woof Woof~~" Suddenly, Dog Treasure barked and leaped off my shoulder, darting into the depths of the Ghost Realm. 0

"Dog Treasure, where are you going?" My expression changed as I hurried after it. Dog Treasure's sudden movement caught me off guard; I barely had time to react. 0

Fortunately, after running about a hundred meters, Dog Treasure stopped. It lay greedily on the ground, chewing on a black stone about the size of an egg with an expression of pure enjoyment. 0

"That's a Pure Yin Stone!" Lin Hanyu recognized the stone in Dog Treasure's mouth immediately. The Pure Yin Stone was formed from the most concentrated Eerie Energy naturally coalescing together. It looked similar to an ordinary rock but was incredibly soft and could be easily crushed. If a Ghostly Being swallowed a Pure Yin Stone, it could directly enhance its cultivation. 0

The Pure Yin Stone is a special product found within the Ghost Realm. Its formation is rare, and the spirits in the Ghost Realm are constantly searching for it, making the Pure Yin Stone even scarcer. However, unexpectedly, Dog Treasure managed to find a piece of Pure Yin Stone so easily. 0

"Jiang Ling, your Demon Beast is really lucky!" Lin Hanyu shook his head, enviously. Lin Hanyu had been to the Ghost Realm more than ten times but had never found a Pure Yin Stone; he could only lament Dog Treasure's good fortune. 0

"Haha! Just look at whose Demon Beast this is!" I replied with a smug expression. 0

"Exactly, that Demon Beast belongs to you!" At that moment, a chilling voice echoed from behind me, startling me. I quickly turned around and saw a fierce-looking Vengeful Spirit standing behind me. The eerie energy in the Ghost Realm made it impossible for me to sense when this Vengeful Spirit had appeared. 0

The Vengeful Spirit glared at us with cold eyes and pointed at the Pure Yin Stone in Dog Treasure's mouth, angrily saying, "That Pure Yin Stone was discovered by me earlier. I can't believe you dare to steal my possession!" 0

I drew the Broken Sword from my side and sneered, "Hmph! Stop your nonsense. If you had found the Pure Yin Stone, would you have left it lying on the ground? If you're looking for trouble, then come at me!" 0

The Broken Sword in my hand had regained a bit of its power and could be used as an ordinary magical weapon. Now that I was wearing a Daoist Robe, pulling out the Demon-Subduing Staff would seem inappropriate. 0

The Vengeful Spirit initially intended to extort me, but upon seeing my confidence—especially sensing the magical fluctuations from the bloodstains on my Daoist Robe—his expression wavered, and fear crept into his heart. With a cold snort, he reluctantly said, "I've noted both of you down. Just wait! Our business isn't finished yet!" 0

After making his threats, the Vengeful Spirit flickered and transformed into a shadow, quickly leaving the area. As he departed, a sinister killing intent flashed in his eyes as he muttered to himself, "That Demon Beast seems capable of easily finding Pure Yin Stones. I must capture that Demon Beast; it looks like I'll have to call on my brothers!" 0

Once I saw the Vengeful Spirit leave, I sheathed my Broken Sword. I didn't want to escalate things unnecessarily; otherwise, eliminating that Vengeful Spirit would have been the best option. Unfortunately, I was unaware that I had already caught the attention of that Vengeful Spirit. 0

After a while, Dog Treasure finished devouring the Pure Yin Stone and its aura significantly strengthened, allowing it to barely contend with a spirit that had cultivated for over ten years. At the same time, Dog Treasure grew considerably taller, now about the size of a pet dog. 0

"Woof Woof~~" Dog Treasure barked happily, letting out a satisfied belch before jumping back onto my shoulder and licking my face enthusiastically with its tongue. 0

I held Dog Treasure tightly in my arms and said seriously, “Lin Hanyu, that Vengeful Spirit has already made an enemy of us. He is likely to bring others to trouble us, so we should leave here quickly!” 0

Lin Hanyu nodded and replied, “I sense that the Gate of the Underworld is very close to us. We should be able to reach it soon!” 0

The two of us continued deeper into the Ghost Realm for over ten minutes. Along the way, we encountered seven or eight weak Cultivation spirits, which I easily dispatched in mere moments. Finally, we arrived in front of the Gate of the Underworld. 0

“Is this really the Gate of the Underworld?” I asked in surprise as I stood a short distance away, gazing at the towering stone gate that loomed two stories high. 0

The Gate of the Underworld was shrouded in a grayish Eerie Energy, making it impossible to see its true form. Moreover, there was a strong repulsive force emanating from it; despite my best efforts, I could only stand fifty paces away from the Gate of the Underworld. 0

Lin Hanyu nodded, bursting into laughter with an excited expression. “Haha! I finally made it here! This has been incredibly smooth!” 0
