I listened to the sounds of battle coming from not far away and found Wu Jingye fighting against the Drought Demon. 0

"This doesn't look good!" I could make out the figures of both combatants in the faint moonlight. 0

Wu Jingye's Daoist Robe was torn into shreds, and several gaping wounds marred his body, inflicted by the sharp claws of the Drought Demon. The Black Blood flowing from his wounds stained his Daoist Robe a deep red. 0

On the other side, the Drought Demon, despite having sustained multiple injuries from Wu Jingye, seemed unfazed, like a wild beast. Instead, its ferocity only intensified. 0

"Ultimate Earth, Mystical Arts Have Methods. Command!" Seizing an opening, Wu Jingye quickly cast a Spell, thrusting his Peach Wood Sword toward the chest of the Drought Demon. 0

"Roar!" The Drought Demon let out a fierce roar. Although it saw Wu Jingye's attack coming, it did not dodge. Instead, it reached for Wu Jingye's Peach Wood Sword with its right hand while its left hand aimed for Wu Jingye's head, displaying a reckless disregard for its own safety. 0

"Beast, you’re so reckless! Then I’ll grant your wish!" A murderous glint flashed in Wu Jingye's eyes as he gritted his teeth and plunged the Peach Wood Sword into the chest of the Drought Demon. However, just as he pierced the blade into it, the Drought Demon had already seized hold of the sword while its left hand was about to strike down on Wu Jingye’s head. 0

"Wu Jingye, you won’t be killed by just one blow, will you?" I watched in horror as my eyelids twitched and my palms began to sweat. With no opportunity for a sneak attack, I held back from rushing out. Fortunately, Wu Jingye was not as vulnerable as I had feared. 0

I saw him release his grip on the Peach Wood Sword, bending backward and stepping back two paces just in time to evade the attack from the Drought Demon. 0

"Stinky Taoist, die!" The Drought Demon yanked out the Peach Wood Sword from its chest in anger, snapping it in half and throwing it violently to the ground. Ignoring its own wounds, it lunged at Wu Jingye like a mad creature. 0

"This is bad!" Upon seeing the movement of the Drought Demon, Wu Jingye’s expression darkened. His footing was still unsteady when the demon charged at him. In a panic, he used his Dust Whisk to entangle the demon's hands in an attempt to block its attack. 0

"Die!" The eyes of the Drought Demon turned blood-red as it effortlessly tore through the Dust Whisk. Its palms crashed down hard on Wu Jingye’s chest. I heard a sickening crack as bones broke, and then Wu Jingye was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground. 0

"How brutal!" Watching the force of the Drought Demon's strike made my legs feel weak with fear as I swallowed hard. 0

The Drought Demon did not pause in its actions. After sending Wu Jingye flying, it immediately rushed over, preparing to deliver a fatal blow. 0

"Cough! Have you all seen enough? Why aren't you making a move?" Wu Jingye spat out a mouthful of blood, his expression filled with pain as he clutched his chest and struggled to rise. 0

"Damn it, this Wu Jingye is a disciple of my master. Although he's not the best person, we can't just stand by and watch him die!" Hearing Wu Jingye's words, I froze for a moment, thinking I had been discovered. Gritting my teeth, I grasped the Peach Wood Sword and was ready to charge out. Just then, something unexpected happened. 0

Five figures descended from the sky. The moment they appeared, each of them threw out ropes as thick as fingers, ensnaring the Drought Demon's limbs and neck with fluid motions. 0

"So they weren't calling for me!" I awkwardly touched my nose. Seeing that someone had intervened and was forcefully restraining the Drought Demon, I decided against rushing out. Instead, I hid to the side and quietly observed the situation unfolding before me. 0

Using the moonlight as my guide, I took a closer look at the five individuals. They were dressed in matching black outfits, their physiques standard and their movements exuding strength. 0

As the Drought Demon struggled against its bindings, the five began chanting incantations while stepping in sync with some kind of formation, circling around the Drought Demon continuously. 0

"Roar! Let me go! Release me!" The Drought Demon bellowed, desperately thrashing about in an attempt to break free from the ropes. However, no matter how hard it fought, the five remained unaffected, maintaining their control over the creature. 0

"Lingling, Earth Spirit. We call upon the deities of the celestial realm above and pay respect to the Underworld below. We now summon all gods of heaven and demon gods of hell as witnesses to eliminate this being." 0

"Ultimate Earth, Mystical Arts Have Methods. We borrow from the Three Pure Divine Power above and request Underworld Ghost Fire below. With my blood as an offering. Three Pure Netherfire Order, command!" 0

Once they finished reciting their incantations, each of them bit their tongues and sprayed their Tongue Blood towards the center where the Drought Demon was bound. As the Tongue Blood landed on it, it instantly transformed into swirling green Ghost Fire that began to burn fiercely. 0

"Three Pure Netherfire Order? This is incredible!" Although it was my first time witnessing the Three Pure Netherfire Order, I could feel the Drought Demon's weakening aura and couldn't help but regard these five individuals with newfound respect. 0

After a few minutes, the Drought Demon was reduced to ashes by Hellfire. The five then retracted their ropes and calmly approached Wu Jingye. One of them sneered coldly and said with a disdainful tone, "Hah, Wu Jingye, you really are getting old! You can't even handle a single Drought Demon; it's truly embarrassing!" 0

Wu Jingye had rested for a while and regained some strength. He stood up, glaring defiantly at the man before him, and coldly huffed, "If I hadn't severely injured the Drought Demon, do you think you could handle this?" 0

"Enough shouting! Whatever it is, we can discuss it later!" The leader among the five shouted. He turned to Wu Jingye and said politely, "Mr. Wu, the organization needs your assistance. We kindly ask you to return with us." 0

Wu Jingye glanced at the man and nodded. "I will go back with you, but first, I need you to help me finish things up here." 0

After speaking, Wu Jingye shifted his gaze toward my hiding spot and called out, "Friend, you've been watching for so long; it's time to come out!" 0

"So I've been discovered already!" I heard Wu Jingye's words and bitterly shook my head as I stepped out from my hiding place. 0

"Wu Jingye, it's good to see you again!" I feigned calmness and greeted him. 0

Wu Jingye shot me a disdainful look and coldly replied, "I wasn't calling you! Step aside!" 0

His words made me extremely annoyed, and I was about to retort when suddenly a hand landed on my shoulder. A dark voice came from behind me, "Wu Jingye, were you calling me?" 0

The unexpected voice sent chills down my spine, leaving my mind blank. I fought to suppress my fear and cautiously glanced at my shoulder out of the corner of my eye, only to see a pale hand as white as paper resting on it. 0
