"What are you doing?" I stared at the suddenly appearing seal, my heart racing as I quickly pulled back from Chu Pengpeng's fingers.
Chu Pengpeng looked at me with sincere eyes and said, "Don't worry, Jiang Ling Brother. I mean no harm. Besides, I have a way to break the seal on you!"
I saw the seal on my chest hide away again, and the heat within me dissipated. Only then did I feel a bit more at ease.
After hearing Chu Pengpeng's words, a wave of frustration washed over me. Over the years, I had sought many mages skilled in formations, but none could break the seal on me. Yet now, two people suddenly appeared who could.
I stroked my chin, wondering if my luck had finally turned. However, I couldn't quite believe that a ghost would possess such abilities. I looked at Chu Pengpeng and asked, "Pengpeng, do you know what kind of seal is on me?"
Chu Pengpeng shook his head and honestly replied, "Jiang Ling Brother, I don't recognize the seal on you!"
Hearing this straightforward response from Chu Pengpeng made my head spin. I unceremoniously tapped his head and said, "Ghost, you don't even know what kind of seal this is, yet you claim you can break it?"
My arm passed through Chu Pengpeng's body, and it dawned on me that he was a ghost. So I grabbed the nearby Peach Wood Sword and tapped it a few times against Chu Pengpeng's head.
"Jiang Ling Brother, please stop! I'm not lying! Look at this!" Chu Pengpeng said while covering his head and dodging around, pulling up his right sleeve.
"What is this?" I put the Peach Wood Sword behind me and looked at Chu Pengpeng's arm, only to find a huge Leech tattooed all over it.
The Leech was green and looked incredibly lifelike. Unable to resist, I poked it with my finger, and to my surprise, the Leech twisted as if it were alive.
As my finger touched the Leech, it felt wet and emitted a strong fishy odor. I quickly withdrew my finger and wiped it on a cloth for quite some time. Frowning, I exclaimed, "Damn, that's disgusting! What is this thing?"
Chu Pengpeng sheepishly lowered his sleeve again and explained, "Before I jumped off the building, that bad person fed me a strange bug—this very Leech."
"That bad person used this Leech specifically to break seals. He originally intended to use my body to nurture it, but he didn't expect that I would commit suicide."
Looking down at his arm, Chu Pengpeng continued, "After I died, I found that this Leech had merged with me. It was thanks to its ability that I managed to escape from that bad person!"
Chu Pengpeng looked at my chest and said, "Jiang Ling Brother, from the first time I came into contact with you, I sensed that there was a seal placed within you. I just felt it again; that seal is quite strong, but I can manage to break it!"
When I was previously searching for ways to break the seal within me, I had heard from others that there are indeed special items designed specifically for dispelling seals.
I felt a surge of excitement. I stepped closer to Chu Pengpeng and said, "Pengpeng, pull up your sleeve so I can take a closer look!"
Chu Pengpeng nodded and pulled up her sleeve, revealing the leech on her arm again. However, the position of the leech had changed; it was now hidden under her armpit.
"This thing is truly bizarre!" I hadn’t looked closely before, but now that I did, I noticed that the leech had three thumb-sized circles on its body.
In the center of each circle was a pattern of three closed eyes. If one didn’t look closely, they would never notice.
As I examined the leech, all three eyes suddenly opened and locked onto mine. Looking into those strange eyes sent a chill down my spine, and I instinctively shifted my gaze away.
I looked at Chu Pengpeng with delight and said with a smile, "Pengpeng, I didn’t expect that what you have is actually a Three-Eyed Beast! It seems you weren’t lying to me!"
The stronger the beast's power, the more eyes it would have. The Three-Eyed Leech on Chu Pengpeng was comparable in strength to the Three-Eyed Crow I encountered earlier. Using it to break the seal on me would be more than sufficient.
"Pengpeng, go ahead! Quickly help me break the seal!" I took off my shirt and grinned at Chu Pengpeng, nearly bursting into laughter. The thought of finally being able to lift the seal within me was overwhelming.
Chu Pengpeng didn’t rush into action; he looked into my eyes and said, "Jiang Ling Brother, I can help you break the seal, but you must fully honor our agreement!"
I nodded and patted my chest confidently. "Isn’t it just about finding the person who harmed you and taking revenge while rescuing your parents? Leave this to me; I will definitely handle it!"
Chu Pengpeng gazed into my eyes sincerely and said, "Jiang Ling Brother, I believe in you! Because you know you are a good person!"
After saying this, Chu Pengpeng pulled up his right sleeve and placed his right hand on my chest while his left hand pressed against the leech. Then he shouted loudly, "Three-Eyed Leech, absorb!"
As soon as Chu Pengpeng's voice fell, I felt a surge of heat in my chest, and the seal within me reappeared. My heart raced with excitement as I looked at the Three-Eyed Leech before me and said, "It has to succeed!"
Under Chu Pengpeng's control, the Three-Eyed Leech slowly crawled into his palm and then opened its mouth to bite down on the seal on my chest, voraciously devouring it.
"Damn, that hurts!" I felt a heart-wrenching pain in my chest, as if the flesh on my body was being consumed piece by piece. The pain made me break out in a cold sweat, and I clenched my fists tightly, gritting my teeth to endure it.
The only reason I held on was that I saw a gap opening in the seal on my chest; it was becoming increasingly loose.
Chu Pengpeng controlling the Three-Eyed Leech was not in much better shape than I was. I could see that the leech on him was slowly changing from green to black, as all the power from the seal surged into his body, making his soul somewhat unstable.
Chu Pengpeng forced a smile on his face and said, "Jiang Ling Brother, just a few more minutes and it will be over. You have to hang in there!"
Seeing Chu Pengpeng like this made my heart ache a little. I nodded at him and smiled, saying, "Pengpeng, don't worry. Your Jiang Ling Brother has been through storms! This little pain is nothing!"
I gritted my teeth and held on for about five minutes. Those five minutes felt longer than five hours to me.
Finally, I watched as the seal within me completely vanished, and I let out a long sigh of relief. Looking at Chu Pengpeng, I mustered up some spirit and said, "Pengpeng, you go ahead and play for a while. Let me take a nap first!"
As soon as I finished speaking, everything went dark before my eyes, and I fainted.
