I shook my head and said, "I don't have any ideas for now. Do you have any plans?" 0

Wang Shenglin wore a proud smile on his face. "Senior, although my magical power isn't high, I'm skilled at setting up talisman arrays. Just give me some time to prepare, and I will definitely set up a net here that will trap that monster!" 0

A sly smile crept onto my face as I touched my ear, thinking that Wang Shenglin really didn't know his limits. Since he was eager to be the cannon fodder, I had no reason to stop him. So I nodded and said, "Since you have this ability, go ahead and set up the array! I'll be watching from the side and will step in to help when needed!" 0

Seeing that I didn't object, Wang Shenglin immediately strutted out with two young assistants, ready to arrange the talisman array inside the funeral home. 0

I shook my head at Wang Shenglin's departing figure and muttered to myself, "Old Wang, you're just showing off. If anything goes wrong, don't blame me!" 0

Time flew by, and soon it was evening. Zhang Yang arrived at the funeral home with a dozen police officers, while Wang Shenglin had already set up the talisman array inside. The workers at the funeral home had finished their shifts, leaving only Xu Jingfeng with us. 0

We gathered in the Body Storage Room of the funeral home, where Zhang Yang fitted two watches with trackers onto Lan Yue and Hu Yalong's wrists. 0

After checking Lan Yue and Hu Yalong's physical conditions, Zhang Yang looked at me in surprise and said, "Jiang Ling, you're really amazing! Will they stay like this forever?" 0

Feeling a bit shy, I touched my ear and replied, "They're just temporarily unconscious; at most they can only sleep for twelve hours. After twelve hours, even if I don't lift the spell, they'll wake up on their own." 0

Wang Shenglin glanced at Lan Yue and Hu Yalong, not expecting that I had also devised a plan. He smirked slightly and disdainfully snorted before looking at me and saying, "Hmph, by your expression, it seems you still don't trust me!" 0

I turned to Wang Shenglin but didn't catch what he had just said. I addressed him directly: "Wang Shenglin, you were supposed to deal with that monster earlier; now all of us are under your command. What are your arrangements?" 0

Upon hearing that he still held command authority, Wang Shenglin's expression improved somewhat as he began to organize our next steps. 0

The Body Storage Room of the funeral home had two passages; one connected to the outside specifically for bringing bodies into the room, while the other led deeper into the funeral home directly to the cremation area. 0

Wang Shenglin divided all the police officers into two teams and instructed them to hide near these two passages to prevent the monster from escaping. 0

He kept me by his side to maintain pressure on the situation. I didn't say much; I simply stood quietly behind him and silently watched him show off. 0

Around eleven o'clock at night, a dark cloud drifted across the sky outside the funeral home. Since it was nighttime, no one noticed it. If any mages were present, they would recognize that this cloud was actually formed from the demonic energy emitted by a monster. 0

The dark aura hovered above the funeral home, and suddenly, a shadow leaped down, landing on the roof. 0

At that moment, a chilling wind blew open the doors of the funeral home, causing the warning bells set up by Wang Shenglin outside to ring incessantly. 0

Hearing the sound of the bells, I looked up towards the door and said, "It's here!" 0

Wang Shenglin also sensed the arrival of the creature. Standing behind the altar with his right hand gripping a Peach Wood Sword, he anxiously gazed towards the entrance. 0

Wang Shenglin muttered to himself, "As long as you dare to come in, I'll make sure you never leave!" 0

Outside the funeral home, the creature jumped down from the roof and walked through the door that had been blown open by the wind. 0

"Ah? There's actually a sorcerer here!" The creature noticed the warning bell hanging outside. It reached out, grabbed the bell, sniffed at the lingering magical energy on it, and then crushed it completely in its hand. 0

Its eyes glowed red as it licked its lips and sinisterly laughed, "Such a weak sorcerer is just perfect for a snack!" 0

With that, the creature stepped into the funeral home. Just as it entered, it heard the sound of the door closing behind it. 0

Turning around, it saw that the doors had been shut tight, with a large Bagua Diagram painted on them. 0

"Hmph, mere tricks!" The creature scoffed coldly and reached out to tear apart the Bagua Diagram. 0

At that moment, a beam of golden light shot out from the diagram. The creature was caught off guard and instinctively closed its eyes against the light. 0

Just then, a Red Net soaked in Black Dog Blood and smeared with Cinnabar fell from above, trapping the creature in its center. 0

"Ah!" The creature let out a shriek as the Red Net tightened around it. Streams of gray aura escaped from its body through gaps in the net. 0

"Haha! Finally caught you!" Hearing the cries from outside, Wang Shenglin laughed heartily. Gripping his Peach Wood Sword, he charged out. Behind him, two attendants followed with buckets of Black Dog Blood. 0

Worried that Wang Shenglin might not be able to handle the creature alone, I grabbed a Peach Wood Sword and rushed out after him. 0

Wang Shenglin looked at the trapped monster, a smug smile spreading across his face. He pointed the Peach Wood Sword at the creature and said to the two attendants behind him, "It hasn't revealed its true form yet. Splash it with Black Dog Blood!" 0

"Yes!" The two attendants stepped forward and poured both buckets of Black Dog Blood all over the monster. 0

Black Dog Blood was a potent remedy against evil beings; when it splashed onto a malevolent entity, it was as if sulfuric acid had been poured on a person, causing immense damage. 0

The monster shrieked as the Black Dog Blood burned its skin, emitting a thick aura of malevolence. It let out a roar, crying out in pain, "Roar! I will kill you!" 0

The creature writhed violently, slowly revealing its true form. The Red Net that had ensnared it was torn apart in an instant. I finally saw that its true form was a spider the size of a car. 0

"You all will die!" The Spider Demon spoke in human language, glaring resentfully at Wang Shenglin before opening its mouth and spewing forth a cloud of green toxic mist. 0

Realizing the danger, I quickly raised my Peach Wood Sword in front of me and shouted, "Heart! Everyone, run back!" 0

Wang Shenglin was paralyzed by the murderous intent emanating from the Spider Demon; fear made his legs weak, and he couldn't move. 0

"Get out of here if you don't want to die!" I slapped Wang Shenglin across the face, shouting angrily. He snapped back to reality and immediately turned to flee without a word. 0

Once I saw that Wang Shenglin and the others had safely escaped, I stood firm with my Peach Wood Sword before the Spider Demon, my expression grave as I stared at the poisonous mist ahead. 0
