I shook the Talisman in my hand and asked, "Which one of you two will go first?"
Hu Yalong swallowed nervously and turned to Lan Yue, saying, "Lan Yue, why don't you give it a try first?"
Lan Yue felt a bit scared too at first, but seeing Hu Yalong's cowardly demeanor gave him a sudden boost of confidence. He patted Hu Yalong on the shoulder and said, "Come on, you’re being too timid! Let me show you what a real man is like!"
With that, Lan Yue strode up to me and asked, " Brother Jiang Ling, I'll go first. What do you need me to do?"
Seeing the determined look on Lan Yue's face made me feel quite awkward. I scratched my ear and said, "Lan Yue, there's no need to be so tense. Your Brother Jiang Ling has never made a mistake when casting spells!"
I had Lan Yue lie flat on the ground and took out a piece of yellow paper. I wrote down the Corpse's Birth Date and Time on it and placed the Corpse's hair and nails on top.
I then affixed the yellow paper to Lan Yue's chest and said seriously, "Lan Yue, when I cast the spell later, I will temporarily seal your soul, causing you to fall into a coma. You will be able to sense your surroundings but won't be able to move your body, similar to the Corpse. Only when I lift the Spell will you return to normal."
Looking into Lan Yue's eyes, I reassured him, "Don't worry; I will protect you!"
Lan Yue nodded and said, " Brother Jiang Ling, I trust you. Go ahead!"
I instructed Lan Yue to close his eyes and then began forming Hand Seals with my hands. Swiftly, I struck three Hand Seals on his shoulders and head, sealing away the three Soul Lanterns within him.
As the three Soul Lanterns were sealed, Lan Yue's Yang Qi weakened further, and he gradually fell into a coma.
I took out a talisman paper and quickly wrote down a Breath Drawing Talisman. Holding it in my right hand, I performed a Hand Seal over the talisman.
The Breath Drawing Talisman ignited spontaneously without fire. I tossed the talisman onto the yellow paper on Lan Yue's chest. The Breath Drawing Talisman ignited the yellow paper, creating an eerie green flame on Lan Yue's chest.
Once the yellow paper was ablaze, I quickly performed several Hand Seals over Lan Yue while shouting loudly, "Ultimate Earth, Mystical Arts Have Methods! Corpse borrow item, seek breath into body!"
"Breath Drawing Talisman, command!" I shouted as I executed the final Hand Seal. The flame on Lan Yue's chest blazed even brighter, instantly incinerating the yellow paper along with the hair and nails.
Immediately afterward, the green flame transformed into a fist-sized fireball that suddenly exploded into sparks covering Lan Yue’s entire body.
Seeing Lan Yue’s body intact made me breathe a sigh of relief. Wiping the sweat from my forehead, I remarked, "It's been years since I've used this Spell; I'm a bit rusty. Thankfully nothing went wrong!"
As I stopped casting my spell, Hu Yalong immediately rushed over, curiously looking at Lan Yue's chest. He asked, " Brother Jiang Ling, Lan Yue's body was clearly on fire just now. Why does it look like nothing happened?"
I shot Hu Yalong a glance and replied, "That green flame was Yin Fire; it only burns evil entities. Lan Yue is a living person, of course, she's fine!"
I drew another Breath Drawing Talisman and waved it in front of Hu Yalong. The thought of what might happen next made a mischievous smile creep onto my face. I looked at Hu Yalong and said, "Fatty, it's your turn now!"
Seeing my smile, Hu Yalong trembled in fear and quickly crossed his arms over his chest. With a shaky voice, he said, " Brother Jiang Ling, what do you want to do? I must tell you, I Hu Yalong am straight; I absolutely don't swing that way!"
I felt a headache coming on and rolled my eyes at him. I kicked him lightly on the backside and said, "Fatty, what are you thinking? I'm telling you to lie down so I can perform my spell."
"Why didn't you say so earlier!" Hu Yalong sighed in relief and found a clean spot to lie down.
"Get ready; I'm about to start!" I placed the Corpse's Birth Date and Time on Hu Yalong's chest and sealed the three Soul Lanterns on him. Then, holding the Breath Drawing Talisman in my right hand, I tossed it onto the pool of blood on the ground.
That pool of blood had been left by the Corpse that had grabbed Hu Yalong's right foot earlier; its purpose was the same as the hair and nails from before.
"Ultimate Earth, Mystical Arts Have Methods! Corpse borrowing objects, seeking breath to enter the body!"
"Breath Drawing Talisman, command!"
The Breath Drawing Talisman ignited spontaneously without fire, setting ablaze the entire pool of blood on the ground. A large green Yin Fire flared up.
"Go!" I performed the final Hand Seal as the Yin Fire floated toward the yellow paper on Hu Yalong's chest.
Although Hu Yalong had three Soul Lanterns sealed away, he could still sense what was happening outside. When he saw such a large mass of Yin Fire approaching him, his legs went weak with fear as he tried to scramble away from the ground.
Hu Yalong lay unconscious on the ground; he couldn't move at all and could only watch as the massive Yin Fire floated closer. At that moment, his vision darkened, and he truly fainted from fright.
The Yin Fire quickly dissipated. I noticed a wet patch on Hu Yalong's pants and touched my ear nervously as I muttered to myself, "I didn't expect Fatty to be so scared that he wet himself. I wonder if he'll come looking for trouble when he wakes up."
Not long after I finished my spell, Xu Jingfeng entered with four employees carrying two body bags.
Xu Jingfeng saw Lan Yue and Hu Yalong lying on the ground, and his expression changed dramatically. He rushed over to check their bodies and found them both extremely cold, like the corpses in the Body Storage Room.
Xu Jingfeng thought I had killed them, and his face turned pale as he stammered, "Master, what’s going on?"
Since I needed Xu Jingfeng's help later, I briefly explained my plan to him.
Upon hearing that Lan Yue and Hu Yalong were not dead, Xu Jingfeng quickly pressed his ear to their chests. When he heard faint heartbeats, he let out a long sigh of relief.
I pointed at Lan Yue and Hu Yalong and said, "Xu Boss, just put them in body bags and place them in the Body Storage Room. You don’t need to worry about anything else!"
Noticing Hu Yalong's wet pants, I cleared my throat and pulled Xu Jingfeng aside, saying, "Xu Boss, before you put the bodies away, remember to change them into clean clothes!"
"Master, don’t worry. We are professionals at this!" Xu Jingfeng assured me with a pat on his chest, then directed the four staff members behind him to get to work.
Seeing that there was nothing else for me to do for now, I walked over to where the bodies were being cremated.
As I entered, I happened to see Wang Shenglin finishing the rites for the three corpses without any issues arising in between.
Wang Shenglin noticed me coming in and quickly bowed in greeting. After exchanging pleasantries, he casually asked, "Senior, what are your plans next?"
